  1. Except for our physical specimen of a first round pick that he doesn't like so he makes him inactive.
  2. That might be the worst top 10 of any mock draft I've ever seen.
  3. That Bryce Young trade up was historically AWFUL as well. Especially now that it's #1 overall pick. They were just like "ahhh ok, sure we'll throw in our future QB's only WR even though you're saying yes immediately without this player"
  4. If we can find a way to package him with Josh Allen and get some good value in return, why not? I mean, we've waiting 20 years to have a good roster and a team that can compete for a Super Bowl again. We finally have it, why not offer our best players to other teams?
  5. Was it a different D'Onta Foreman that had 100 carries and 4 YPC for the Bears this year? (No, it wasn't)
  6. Our coach has folded when he's played any QB that wasn't a back up in the play offs and has been brutally out coached.
  7. It's been 5 years with that dog sh**? Wow. Those uniforms were pretty embarrassing.
  8. People keep talking about this: we lost 1 guy? We lost Milano. We upgraded Tre White with Rasul Douglass. We didnt have "massive injuries" In the play offs we were banged up but in the regular season (which is where those stats come from) there was 1 injury.
  9. MINE... F***ING.. TOO. I have probably watched that play 600 times. It's absolutely unbelievable. The ball went 40 yards in the air and wasn't but 13 feet off the ground and showed ZERO signs of coming down anytime soon.
  10. This is a god awful take. There are many many many many many many differencres. One is one of the best football coaches to ever walk on our planet and one is unemployed
  11. A really good friend of mine is from small town Miss (knows Favre) and this is not news to anyone that knows the family. He was basically a small town trailor park guy that just got famous but never let that side of him leave. He is widely regarded as a POS by many in Miss. (and has been forever).
  12. It's never a bad thing to have too much talent. It would benefit us in other ways, as well. We don't know what Milano is going to look like coming off that injury. Not even the slightest chance possible. Nickel and Safety do 2 very different things. Safety's rarely cover slot WR, play man, etc etc. Moving Taron to safety would be completely changing his skill set. THAT or he would just be a safety in the box and they'd have 2 more safeties on the field. nothing would change.
  13. That and 4 minorities were hired this cycle so they have nothing to complain about now.
  14. That's not true. He would still be the 3rd best linebacker, we play a nickel base defense. We have 1 all-pro in front of him and another potential all-pro in front of him and Taron Johnson is an All-pro. Taron plays the run pretty well and he won't be coming off the field. There are more than 2 ways around it, actually.
  15. It's almost as if... he's just not a good coach. He's been interviewed by 15+ teams and hasn't been hired. Something isn't clicking and this is a nothing story.
  16. Yeah, we had the #1 defense under Frazier and collapsed #4 defense under McDermott and collapsed.
  17. I absolutely agree with you, unfortunately. Because they're guys from the system and have learned from the same guy for years and there has been no sign under McDermott that change is accepted.
  18. I do believe this is one of McDermott's faults... to an extent. It's great for continuity, etc .. I get that but there has to be new faces, new ideas, new concepts, new coaches that are going to challenge and move the needle for us. It's been said on here 10000x about the definition of insanity.... and this is proving to be true. Keeping all of the same people in the building and on staff is not a recipe to 'get over the hump" hell, I dont think our special teams coordinator lost his job and they were atrocious this year.
  19. 1/10 take. Those guys were in their 20's at that time. Most of them are now head coaches and/or OC/DC's. So is your stance that position coaches aren't important and we can do without them? Just need OC, DC, STC? Or do you just not understand how the coaching hierarchy works on a day to day basis? I can help out if need be.
  20. I don't think you truly understand the in's and out's of coaching if this is the case: McDermott brings the coaches in: tells each position coach what he expects and their leverage, alignment, etc. on given plays/ concepts. It's then on them to go implement and teach it. Sure McDermott installs game plans and does film, etc but a LOT is on the position coaches. This might be one of the worst takes i've ever seen. This isn't high school football in WNY with 3 coaches on staff.
  21. That doesnt change the fact he isn't a great coach when the going gets tough. He simply does, has, and always will fold in critical situations.
