  1. Yeah man, for sure. I had / have low expectations. If he can become more than a rotational player again, wonderful. I don't think we need that, nor do I think McD/Babich is playing him more than that. One thing too, his contract can be void after this year, so he's in a defacto "contract year." I think he genuinely wants another SB and genuinely wants to chase the sack record (I think he's still quite a bit behind though). Follow up question: He pressured on 20% of his rushes.... what is league avg? Having trouble finding that.
  2. You do struggle with comprehension.... wow. Let me try to break it down VERY easily so you can comprehend this: -No I never said you mentioned them trading CMC.. I said based on your rationale of trading Cook (for a nice offer) (Which is the following:) - We have an up and comer - RBs are easy to find. Should the 9ers should consider trading CMC for a "nice offer" (based on your rationale of when/why/how/etc you'd trade cook) because of the following: -You then mentioned how the 49ers performed without CMC -Mason is an up and comer -RB that's easy to find is on their roster.
  3. My view is at the bottom. I was answering his question on why people are down on him, as in, some of the stuff I've seen on the board. Those numbers above are great. If he can come in rotation and rush 20 times a game with those numbers, I don't think anyone would complain.
  4. Again, comprehension is hard. I NEVER said they don't play. I said he doesn't start them right away. What aren't you understanding? I kn.ow the guys play, I'm literally talking about starts. Ok, we have a good thing going and you'd be ok with trading Cook.. Holy cow you are literally proving my point on this. You can't be this dense. I refuse to believe it. CMC avg'd 17 carries last year.. we aren't talking last year. YOU are talking about the game the other night and said "they struggled last week huh?" insinuating that they would be fine without him and that RB is easy to replace. Mason had 25 rushes last game. If you want to trade Cook because they are easy to replace and we have an "up and comer"... wouldn't you consider Mason an "up and comer?" So shouldn't they just trade CMC? Again, I can't believe I have to spell this out. I can see why your name is Royale with Cheese, you have the reading comprehension of a sandwich. i tend to agree with a lot of your points, this not being one. Rationale is in a circle.
  5. He's 35 coming off of a very bad year. It was obviously an injury but at 35, a whole year off is an eternity. He also looks a lot slower. I'm guessing that's why. I think he's fine and I have very low expectations so I'm not necessarily down on him.. he's a rotation guy at this point.
  6. Oh god, the guy that lacks reading comprehension shows up again. Funny how you never responded to that post, huh? I never said they don't play, I said he doesn't start them right away, and I listed most of the 1st and 2nd round rookies START numbers. Also, I don't "keep saying" that, I said it in one thread. Do we have the offensive line the 9ers have? Do we have the supporting weapons the 9ers have? Do we have the same scheme the 9ers have? Do we run one running back 25 times a game? Did the 9ers throw to Mason like the Bills throw to Cook? So in your instance, the 9ers should trade McCaffery away, yeah?
  7. I believe they did say that if he were jailed or convicted deal is void after year 1 ( i THINK) it's been a few years but IIRC only his first year was guaranteed if he were convicted or anything of that sort. If it happens now, I believe his contract can be voided. There is news today that there is some sort of video evidence of his latest claim. He could very well be f***d and that scum deserves it.
  8. He looked like he was running in molasses last night. He has been slowing for years and years and I think at points last year, he was a liability. Of course we love Poyer.. but he was on the downhill for, like you said, a few years and last night he was brutal.
  9. Dude totally! Let's get rid of him while we have him for this year AND next year on a rookie deal! Why not?! We have an "up and comer" and those ALWAYS work out. Let's trade our best offensive weapon currently (behind Josh) for a second round pick! Who wants a guy that was 4th in the league last year in yards and is having an amazing year thus far (I know it's only week 2).. Do you even believe what you just wrote?
  10. Bro, what? His offense was as creative as we've seen. That TD to James Cook was a play call, not a Josh Allen play. He knew if they did X with the formation, Miami would blitz off the edge and leave Cook wide open. Watch the play, Josh doesn't even look.. drops back to looks right turns and throws. They are getting to the line with 18-20 seconds left, they are using motion, they were running the ball and pounded it. Did you want him to run cool trick plays up 21? Look, I'm holding my breath as we've seen Dorsey explode early season and then teams catch on and we can't move the ball but to call this offense boring after they eviscerated a team(and essentially did the same the week before) with new looks, motions, Josh's new pocket movement, great protections, etc is asinine.
  11. Can you name 10 right tackles better than him? Seriously...? As most have said, after this off-season, that'll be a bargain for a guy who is paid right where he deserves. He had a bad season after back injury(may be even surgery??) and people decide to forget his rookie year and last year. Spencer Brown has been very good for us and IMO would be very hard to upgrade him within the next few years while we have Josh in his prime. This is a smart move and as others have said, if he sucks, easy contract to get out of. Isn't every player disappointing at times?
  12. Josh didn't earn a spot? Just had to put Peterman out there, yeah? James Cook? Just magically was the 4th best yard earner the next year? He started zero games his rookie year Dalton Kincaid started 11 games last year man. Ed Oliver started 7 games his rookie year Singletary started 12 his rookie year. Dion Dawkins started 11 his rookie year. Spencer Brown started 10 Yes, they ultimately play but he has this "easing players in to it" (which was the original reason for my post) Most of the people (other than Tre, Ford and Torrence) didn't start for quite a while my man. McDermott does NOT start rookies right away.
  13. Ehhh not off the bat. They didn't play Groot right away. Never played Elam. Didn't want to start Josh right away until Peterman threw 6 INTs. Didn't start Cook right away. Basham never played (or rarely) Do they play, yes. Do they start, no. If they do, they have the shortest leash known to man.
  14. McDermott still against playing rookies, regardless of whether or not they are the best at their position, I see. He is and will always handicap this team. This isn't f***ing highschool.
  15. EXACTLY.. they mentioned NOTHING from training camp... they're just referring to minicamp in June... who cares. They're going to be good, they have very few weak spots (depth is a major weakness of theirs but their starting 22 is incredible) ... People just dont like AR and are trying to drive wedges.. nothing to see here.
  16. Brother... we had the best roster in the NFL for 2 years (13 seconds year and year after). Our coach failed us... not the roster the two are not the same.. You need a really really serious reality check.
  17. That's really sad because in today's NFL, Stevie is a legit top 7-ish receiver IMO. His route running was so far ahead of the game and he would routinely cook Revis (in his prime... how don't you remember that?) He get's to San Diego, mentors Keenan Allen and no surprise, guess who is one of the best route runners in the league?
  18. The Titans front office has been soooo so bad. Firing Vrabel was the icing on the cake.
  19. Noah Brown is someone the Bills should take a STRONG look at.
  20. Yeah, I'll believe it when the Bill announce it. It wouldn't be a huge loss or anything but it's interesting that THAT is an injury they haven't talked about?
  21. Me either, is there truth to this?
  22. He last played in 2021 due to injuries.. sure i'd send a 6th.
  23. Thing is though: it's a legit concern and we're now learning who is going to be cut. The dude has objectively played better than Trubisky the last 2 years. What's wrong with this thread?
  24. Not to mention they HAVE invested in young weapons for Josh so that point is moot. Kincaid last year, Coleman this year, Cook 2 years ago. IF Coleman is a bonafide #1 with Shakir and Kincaid.... I think that opens a lot for Samuel and we are dangerous. This year will probably be the most "painful" due to some growing pains early but we get to the playoffs and they have a whole season to develop, we are in verrrry good hand for the future with a young(er) offense.
