Senior Bowl- Day 3 A Bills fan first hand take
freddyjj replied to CEN-CAL17's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great work here 1Zayday1! I really appreciate the detail. Was thinking of possibly attending Senior Bowl next year. So is it worth it and is access to practices etc easy? As for Oline, I see OBD first O Line pick having to be OT starter level ready and possibly have position flexibility (Williams at LT or G, Risner at C, G or RT, McCary at G or OT, Elkston at T or C). Teams only want to dress 7 or 8 Oline on game day now. -
This Is Why Spending Big $ For A RB Is Not Wise:

Agree with OP. As pro game adds more RPO, single cut runs the running game looks more and more like college and the ability to plug and play a rookie with a proven RPO background is increased. Pass pro and receiving are skills that must be assessed to project 3 down capability. I believe that RB is the easiest position to start a rookie at. -
Was Mark Kelso the Best FS in Bills History?
freddyjj replied to PUNT750's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. I loved the Bills in my HS and college years. Tony Greene twice had 9 picks. Pro bowl appearance and 1st team all pro selection. Bright light on some bad teams. His 37 picks at FS might be record for position for Bills Btw, Jeff Nixon had 11 picks in his first 23 games as a Bills FS in 79-80 before suffering a career ending knee injury. Who knows what he might have done so felt need to mention him here. -

Per reports he underwent Alcohol and Anger Management counseling in DEC 2018. In order to be successful in either he must be honest with himself and admit both are at the heart of his problems. If he is only one month into his journey into recovery, probably best he concentrate on that and let the NFL thing work itself out. Stronger case if he can claim 3-4 months sober, and speak to his therapy for anger issues. I for one hope the young man just gets the help he needs to have a happy rest of his life, with or without the NFL.

It was a different era with 60% run rate and a volatile QB situation in New England (Eason/Grogan/Flutie) that was as bad or worse as Jets has been. In his first 29 starts over 1st 3 years Fryar had 15 TDs vs 5 tds in 4 years for Enunwa. Fryar was an impact #1 WR who helped get a team with a poor 3rd year QB to the Super Bowl in his 2nd year in league. Fryar was an All-Pro in 2nd year in league and was 3 time All-Pro. Also appeared in 5 pro bowls. Great deep threat and game breaking WR. 5x over 1000 yds when that was not common. For reference, Andre Reed only did it 5x all with Kelly at QB. For career, Reed had 100 more catches for 3 more TDs than Fryar. -

Let me know when Quincy gets 850 catches, 84 TDs and 13,000 yds -
Chiefs fire longtime DC Bob Sutton

Agreed and expect Rams to bracket Edelman in coverage on drags. Possibly play bandit with backer or safety on side he is running pattern to. Talib and Peters will help too as better DBs than anyone on Chiefs. Rams don't have good edge rushers but if they can get Donald and Suh to pressure up the middle it will cause problems with timing of patterns. -

The list of great Nebraska WRs in NFL is short Irving Fryar -
So here's the next line of article. And this is 52.5% completion percentage. Now granted he is throwing downfield more, had a rag tag group of receivers and was on the move given poor blocking - but the completion rate needs to increase, the drops must stop and his 3.33% INT rate must drop too for offense to take next step. Getting some Guards and a C who can pull will enable the RB or bubble screen game - which was non-existent last year. I have to believe this is part of OBDs strategy for keeping Shady. Lots of easy yards and increase in completion percentage for Josh by stressing getting Shady in space. And drafting a bigger X receiver (or using the ex-CFLer) to run slants will also help.

Can't see Kim signing off as just canned 3 of PSE execs for sexual harassment in last few months. Too sensitive a topic to overlook or issue a hall pass on. He has only gotten worse with alcohol fueled behavior as a pro. See response above As a season ticket holder and father with 2 daughters I hope we pass.

Marv was coach in 1996 and 1997. Wade became head coach in 1998 and was 0-2 in playoffs with road losses to Miami in 1998 and Tennessee in 1999. -
Could a DeSean and LeSean reunion be in the works?

Don’t see it as Desean hasn’t done much since leaving PHL even with Mike Evans opposite him. Small and showing signs of wear too. -
Daniel Wise, DT Kansas His dad played in NFL and bro in league now. A quick 3T replacement for Kyle. Could use one of our 5th rounders on him. Captain and 4 yr player that McBeane look for. Looked good in East West game yday.

Cue the Queue of haters!!! I thought he played much better after injury as it appeared he processed game better. An off-season spent on throwing and footwork fundamentals coupled with OTAs and a full camp getting #1 reps in same offense should prove beneficial. This is what he controls and has to strive for. As for getting better OLine and Skill players, OBD has to deliver on that. If so, this kid could have a strong second year. He is very good with play action so an improved running game will help him and receivers.
