LABillBacker - thanks for having my back here. Meant to add completion rate and in all the confusion skipped Deonte Thompson! Might we also limit sacks taken to 2 per game? -

Lead Bills to wins in 4 of 6 remaining games. 1500 yds passing. 9 TDs, 3 INTs. 240 yds rushing, 3 TDs. Develop rapport with Jones, Croom, McKenzie and Foster. -
Yes Happy Thanksgiving to all board members. A special one for me as had Open Heart Surgery earlier this year - puts it all in perspective. And please say a prayer for our guys and gals overseas away from their families this year.

I am not sure you understand odds just fine. The likelihood of Bills winning AFC East is <1%. The table below adds odds across the columns. The Bills winning is only a part of the must happen scenarios. 98% chance bills don't make the playoffs. AFC East Playoff Standings Record Divisional Winners Wildcard No Playoffs Team W L T 1* 2* 3** 4** 5 6 7 Patriots 7 3 0 8% 30% 25% 24% 1% 3% 8% Dolphins 5 5 0 <1% 1% 3% 7% 1% 9% 78% Bills 3 7 0 <1% <1% <1% 1% <1% <1% 98% Jets 3 7 0 <1% <1% <1% <1% <1% <1% >99% Notes ^ means the team will finish better than this playoff spot X means the team cannot win this playoff spot 50% - probability the team will win this playoff spot - green number indicates the team controls its destiny for this spot 50% - probability the team will win this playoff spot - red number indicates the team does not control its destiny for this spot Table Sorting Method * denotes first round bye in the playoffs ** denotes first round home field advantage in the playoffs

Jags Game discussion - what say you?
freddyjj replied to freddyjj's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good points with how Jags will be feeling - game just got tougher. Not sure what arguing for Barkley accomplishes as Allen will start this game and any others he is healthy for. He is much more athletic and his arm (and new WRs) will force Jags to defend the whole field - vertically and horizontally. Steelers started doing damage throwing deep sideline or back shoulders outside the numbers. Allen is good at those The offense vs Jets will be even more dangerous with a QB who can make all the throws. Barkley can't. -
There is no way we will beat the Jaguars

Jags D doesn't scare me now. And Marrone/Hackett 4 straight 3 and outs looked familiar! -

Jags Game discussion - what say you?
freddyjj replied to freddyjj's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jags are looking tough vs Steelers through first half today. Might there be a mental letdown when they come to WNY? Your logic here might be slightly flawed. The new additions (Foster, McKenzie) practiced as much with Josh in week leading up to Jets game as with Barkley. Foster had OTAs, preseason and first 6 games to practice with Josh. And since Thompson came in Josh had the most reps with all 3 WRs. Daboll will have a choice of 3 deep threats to scheme with now. The offense will not look like the first 9 weeks given new WRs and new O Lineman. Barkley is not a high priority FA for any team next year - he was sitting on his couch 3 weeks ago. And he threw 2 INTs that the Jets DBs chose to drop, the Jags won't. The veteran QB who is here next year will know his job is to be the backup and the $$$ spent will determine who comes (or stays). And every game is critical to a young QBs development. Mahomes watched for almost the entire year season last year because Smith was better at that point and the Chiefs were in playoffs and could have gone far. Bills are out of contention and Barkley is not better than Allen at this point. Give Josh the new scheme and players and let's Go Bills! -

OK we know it will be slow news days for a while until team back in BUF after bye week. So I thought I'd put out some topics for discussion: Bills win outright 61% of the time coming off the bye all time. Per the link here, warm weather teams have 30-35% winning percentages in 21-30 degree and 31-40 degree weather http://archive.advancedfootballanalytics.com/2012/01/how-does-temperature-affect-road-teams.html The Jags did win in PIT last year in the cold. Personally I like giving Daboll 2 weeks with some new speedsters and Josh to cook something up on Offense. Bills have won against a mobile QB this year beating TENN and Mariota. Bills D and Frazier did good job vs Jags on D last year in playoffs. Held Fournette to 57 yds on 21 carries. Bortels to 87 yds passing on 12/23 completion for 1 td, no INT and only 3.6 YPA. What killed Bills was Bortels running 10 times for 88 yds. Man that game was Neanderthal offense at its best! Bills did run for 130 yds on 31 attempts in playoff game so should be able to make some headway again. The passing offense has to improve on the 18/40 for 133 yds and 2 INTs that Tyrod/NP put up last year. I say turn the tables and make Bortles play QB and beat D (use Tremaine as a spy). Go Bills!

Bills Sign WR Deonte Thompson to a 1-Year Deal

DT was last Bill with 100 yd game as WR. So here is a huge play late in TB win that might be the play you are thinking about. 44 yds plus 15 on personal foul -

lol. I would be more impressed if Chad came back and tended to his uncle during his illness and also took time to straighten his life out. Might give the kid some perspective that is sadly missing in his life now.

Big Ben Texted Bell Before Deadline-NO ANSWER
freddyjj replied to Returntoglory's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks for the endorsement here! Not judging their lifestyle, just questioning their awareness of law/league rules. Point being that his having 2 drug suspensions prior, 10 games on next one will make any other team leery to give him any large guaranteed $$. His agent has given him horrible advice and I see him going on year to year deals on a go forward basis ala LeGarrette Blount. The NFL owners will not reward a player with baggage for making a stand - they are more conservative than me! -
