  1. please move away from the ledge....per WGR re-signed to PS today
  2. For the record we did not only rush 3. McD and Frazier will send a LB or DB instead and drop a DE (Murphy or Hughes) on these dialups. btw, Hughes and Murphy have played OLB in a 3-4 and can drop as both are very athletic. If Star or Jordan Philips drop, that's a Rex call.
  3. thanks - wow interesting take as so early didn't realize standings are so close. My take is pretty simple. Teams with new QB/OC will get better as season goes on. Helps Bills and Jets. Personally don't see Pats or Fins getting better as season goes on. My take is only 1 team from AFC east makes playoffs this year.
  4. Ok my first dive in this end of pool this year. Bills win 27-21 in a close one. Ray Ray has a PR ST touchdown. Bills win Turnover battle 2-1 and a Edmunds pick /return sets up a Shady TD. Allen finally hits Foster on a 64 yd bomb for a TD. Go Bills
  5. I hear ya but wondered why OBD then looked the other way on Jordan Phillips' behavior in MIA. Per reports he basically F'd you his way off the Fins.
  6. Weird - I still can't see the manufacturer label on that throwback jersey you wearin' !
  7. Shaw66, many thanks for doing these weekly, especially after a game like yesterday's. I share many of your sentiments and have some items of my own as listed below: After the Bills peewee game, I watched the Saints varsity offense do some great crossing routes versus man, where slot guy does flag to corner and Michael Thomas does a drag across from the Outside position. One of the 2 WRs was always open, and I mean HS football open! If teams are going to man press our WRs and come up to the LOS to do so, wouldn't rub routes work really well? Someone with more football playing/coaching experience please comment? When we got to the 20 yd line we had 11 personnel in and sent all 3 WRs and TE on 4 vertical routes against an obvious blitz. Shady stayed in to block but the interior of OLine apparently missed their assignment. I thought protection calls go inside out - will love to see the all-22 on that pick in end zone. Allen looked like a PeeWee or HS QB on that pick. I think they cover "Don't throw late (especially across your body off your back foot) over the middle" on Day 2 of Pee Wee. The Bills must be planning on some OLine changes long term as they have 4 young dudes (Teller, Boettger, McDermoot and the new signee) on the active roster. Can see a couple of them seeing playing time after the next couple weeks. Let's hope Hyde is OK because we have little depth at DB as Bush was covering slot when Johnson got hurt. If they don't like Gaines and Taron Johnson has a bad shoulder, why not sign Leonard Johnson as insurance and waive goodbye to one of our backup WRs OL or DL? 7-0, 13-0 and 16-0 are not scores that would cause me to abandon the run. And yet Daboll did. Why not put in a packed (All personnel inside the #'s formation) with RPOs and rub routes galore to free up some quick hit passes for our rookie QB? Would love to get yours and other TSW members takes on the above. Thanks
  8. Not a fan. We already had the highest paid back in the league for 2015-2016 and got nowhere. Now sign a guy who will be same age as Shady was when we traded for him, to keep him long term pay him 150 -200% what we would pay Shady next year and hope he doesn't do the 'herb anymore. Bell is Anti- process, Avenger series anti-matter as a locker room influence. His own team mates can't stand him. Not to mention he would have to agree to sign here long term before any of the "cool kids club" NFL Free agents of 2019 decide to take a chance on coming to the BUF. LOL, ROFL I have to pass!
  9. here's the article detailing the Zero Chance of signing him. The title can be misread to indicate that he signed. http://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2018/09/zero_chance_former_titans_wr_rishard_matthews_signs_with_buffalo_bills_report.html
  10. Fouts will likely tell Allen to grow a true man beard for starters. Then stay in the pocket. And get John Jefferson, Kellen Winslow Sr. and Charlie Joiner as receivers!?
  11. Not sure you saw this but Bodine was back in the game and reports were he just cramped up.
  12. Interesting that on all these sacks that one of the DTs was Lorenzo Alexander. I believe all our sacks were on 3rd down so Leslie dialed up a rush package. Looks like our rush package is Murphy, Zo, Kyle and Jerry. Imagine they could sub Shaq and Horrible Harry for Zo and Kyle too.
  13. I imagine OBD sees Tobin as an alternative to Conor Mcdermott worst case and a Newhouse replacement best case. Can't see him coming in at this point of year and beating Mills out.
  14. Man wow first time I heard someone loved these dark unis. The road version in this era were CFLesque or worse. My favs are the current all white with the standing Buffalo helmet when we do that look.
  15. Hey wow Bills get the A team announcers! Will really enjoy Tony Romo on his pre-snap reads and correlation to where Josh Allen goes. I may be in minority but I enjoy Romo.
  16. Only missed the mic drop here!
  17. So trade Lions for Jags and I am right with you at 6-10. Bills' draw of the NFC North an AFC South brings more competitive teams than last year's schedule. Can't see Bills foing 6-2 at home this year and they will be hard pressed to get 3 wins on the road like last year. 4-4 at home and 2-6 on the road this year
  18. i say let Gaines play CB2 spot and Johnson in the slot. That way last years depth chart wont have to be changed!?
  19. Good one! My read is Daboll is all about mismatches and Logan Thomas and Croom offer much better athleticism than Nick Oleary and are also much taller targets on seam routes or quick hit RPO slants. Easier passes for NP or JA to hit on and these 2 guys can get some YAC as well. Haven't seen a RAC like Croom's with leap in end zone by a Bills TE since Keith McKellar!
  20. gotcha - My premise is if Allen/Nate both went down in 1 game Logan Thomas could mop up if need be
  21. Not aware that Taiwan has ever played QB. raiders used him as CB and RB. Logan Thomas actually played QB for the Cardinals when he came in the league.
  22. As for Thomas > OLeary remember Thomas is a former QB who will likely play the Joe Webb role of emergency QB this year
  23. It could be him or Coleman or a waiver wire pickup. Foster not a hands catcher and his TD on THU could have been reversed as he was bobbling ball as he put it away. If he gets cut I believe Foster is target for PS
