I see respect is the main concept in this treatise on leadership. Without it organizations/teams never become great. Over at Google and Apple, etc, respect built on fear isn’t the driver since fear hampers creativity and innovation. Today’s workplace is different than the 50s and 60s. Are today’s football teams like those of Lombardi? Definitely not. I think Mahomey and Kelce have a mutual mind about execution and winning. JA17 and SD14 didn’t the last 2 years. I think he lost respect for Josh. This may be due to many of the things that Shaw points out. Does Mahomey get goofy with teammates? It appears so, but there’s a fine line. I do like that Josh has fun playing football, but he has to have the respect of his team mates that is based not only on his ability to win but his ability to hold everyone accountable. The former is evident, but his commitment to being a leader that holds everyone accountable is only known by his team mates and coaches at this point. If he hasn’t done this in the past, he has a great opportunity to do so now.

It appears that the plan is ball control with a versatile use of RBs. Use a lot of clock to keep the D fresh and to keep Mahomey on the sidelines.

With a pretty checkered roster on D last year, the team finished strong when things could’ve come off the tracks. That’s evidence that he’s a good coach. Basically, the coach and GM observed diminished skills. They could’ve kept him another year but figured they could have a better WR corp with what they’ve eventually done. If Diggs was going to continue to perform at his level of second half of season, they made the right move. They concluded that keeping Diggs would not get them past KC, Cincy, and Baltimore.

Good points. I see that JJ is fast enough. I would say the same for Keon. I remember the JJ contested catch against us when our DB had his hands all over the ball. Most of JJs highlights are contested catches. I think we’ll see Keon win a lot of these too. He’s strong with an attitude, plus he has hand-eye concentration of a forward. I’m excited about what’s coming.

Is JJ a speed, separation guy?? I don’t see that that’s his forte. What is he, like a 4.5. The highlights I see are contested catches which bodes well for Keon. It will be interesting to see what Keon becomes. 80% of JJ would be amazing!

Coleman’s upside is very interesting. If he can use his twitchy moves like Jefferson he’ll be a difference maker. He will be coached up on route timing. On contested catches he’ll win most. If JA17 can make Zay Jones look good, Keon will make us forget about Diggs. I think he’ll be ROTY.

I’m seeing some short Fb vids of people getting autographs and selfies with the GOAT QB in public places. I think a true Bills fan wouldn’t. I wouldn’t. I even saw him autographing someone’s clothing who didn’t ask for it. Now that’s a Brady move. If I was in the same elevator or sat beside him in coach (ha), I would definitely tell him I’m a member of Bills Mafia and I’m glad he’s retired. I mean I’d have to say something, wouldn’t I? But no autograph or selfie. How bout you? Would you, could you, should you?

I think it was the right move not to sell the farm for one of the big 3 WRs. First, they might be a bust. Second, we’ll be a better team with the players selected and we are in good shape for the 25 draft.

The worst game I remember was that Steeler game that we needed to win to get in, and they played bench sitters. Cold and wet and windy. I think the NFL wants Buffalo to play in the elements, especially snow. Must watch TV.

The domed stadiums I’ve been in can’t compare to the Bills game day experience. Maybe it’s the structure or maybe it’s the fans. Maybe both. Just wish the canopy could’ve been more like the donut hole in the old Cowboys place.
