  1. JK12’s teams > JA17’s teams. What’s amazing about Allen is he has won a lot with a team that would be maybe 7 wins without him. That’s the brutal facts.
  2. Would love to get him in 3rd, but someone will get him in round 2.
  3. Agree. Must go OL in R1 and R2. Even if Robinson is there in R1, hard pass. Our #1 RB should be Cook next year. He’ll add 15 lbs and will be elite. Go Bills!
  4. I like that metaphor “fog of his responsibilities.” I’m in a fog about what he does well (eg - no shacks, no interceptions, few pressures or run stuffs). I guess the NFL coaches must think he’s gold because he’s about to bring home Ft. Knox.
  5. Thanks. I enjoy the depth of your posts and many others that know football better than me. I don’t know much, but I do know that JA17 always gives us a chance to be the only team winning the last game.
  6. Hey Corta: Nice post. Last week I posted a concerned about our division possibilities and you gave me a LAMP response. I respect your evaluation since I didn’t provide the depth of analysis that you’ve posted. However, you have not eased my troubled mind. In addition to your nice description of the current status of our division rivals, I would add that the Jets and Pats have more draft capital. Also, both are picking ahead of us, and targeting OT and WR, which are our areas of need also. We better get better if we are to repeat as division champs. Go Bills!!
  7. Hope we don’t look back and think that our best chance was the 13 seconds. Bowing out early this year was a “blessing in disguise” since we didn’t have the team to win AFC or SB. I still believe in McD.
  8. I think these areas will get better. Other AFCE teams will be better. It would take a 7 or 8 win season to axe the coach. Won’t happen. Even with 13 seconds and Cincy, McD is in the same security category as Tomlin. He’s secure unless a complete collapse which can’t happen as long as JA17 is healthy.
  9. Thanks Corta. I’ll put myself on probation until after the draft, or at least March 15. 😎
  10. I’m a realistic optimist. I like to be prepared for worst case scenario. If we don’t improve the O line, I’m realistically sure that we’re not going to be better.
  11. You’re right. I dont know how to delete.
  12. Yes. I was around. Smerlas and Haslet on WBEN was fun.
  13. Just had a bad thought that I’d like to forget. First, let me say that I’m the most optimistic dude about the Bills and life. I even thought the Losman Bills could win the Super Bowl. My bad thought is the Bills might not make the playoffs next year. It’s happened to other great teams. I mean we might lose Maine, Poyer, Motor, White, and now even Diggs. Can someone please relieve my troubled mind.
  14. Doesnt SD14 see the film with JA17 running for his life? It gets fixed when Diggs sees signing and drafting of better O line.
  15. Good take. Nice to be reminded of this. When our offense is humming, our D looks and plays better. I bet the offense looked good in those 4 wins. We need to pretty much stay put with our D and rev up the offense. Give JA17 a second more time and the D will look better.
  16. Agree. I’m hoping Von will be Von by Thanksgiving. Yes, a great DE has to be explosive with a good first step, but much of Von’s game is upper body and nobody twists and contorts better. Work him in slowly in first 9 games. BTW, we lost the Cincy game due to offense. It’s a stretch to say that Von would’ve helped. Go with what we have on D.
  17. One perspective is that we lose with Maine in post season against good QBs, but another perspective is we wouldn’t be there without him due to wins against rest of the league. He was at his best this year and will prolly get better. Tough call.
  18. Thanks H2. So I have to wait until mid March to know status of Maine and Motor?
  19. I can agree somewhat, but I hope management does not use that thinking to stay pat. Didn’t Levy say if you not getting better …. We better do something on offense to get better.
  20. Agree with most of your points. Why not let Edmunds walk? The good teams find a way to neutralize him and run up the score. I think he’s a good player, but we need scoring power more. Can we pay him $20 million and improve our offense to Lombardi caliber? Nay.
  21. Maybe but no. If JA17 had the O lines of KC and Cincy, he would be a genius. Cmon, UKBill, he’s running and gunning from the snap. However, I submit that Dorsey needs to scheme quick and short passes and screens.
