he was basically in NE as a sub-rusher. PFF had him ranked 5th in the whole league in "rush productivity". 39 total pressures on 255 pass snaps. that can only help our meager pass rush I would assume. while i'm not a fan of just looking at pressures, that stat kind of has a cult following around here when it comes to one of our own DE's. so I figured i'd mention it.

what this says to me is look for them to utilize Johnson to the best of his abilities complementing chubb up until the trade deadline in the regular season and snab a solid mid round pick off a team that's RB needy next season. low risk investment. great move.

??? it was well known he was gonna get 8-10 games most likely. I think they are lucky they got the low end. this is a great low risk investment for them.

depending on how things fall I think a 5th/6th round swing of chubb then hunt would guarantee you good production from an early midround pick right there most of the year.... which is generally never a guarantee in most cases.

So your mind has been made up on mayfield. That’s basically the only reason you are thinking this way. The dude just broke the rookie td record in 14 games. This is always silly to me and the same thing the national media has done with Allen. Their minds were foolishly made up before he ever played a full season and then they tried to double down even after a strong finish. My advice to people like this is a take a step back, realize you were probably wrong, and give whatever player you judged too quickly the credit they deserve. Like I said. If it changes the tide in one or 2 it’s a great thing to have. That’s the difference between sitting at home at 7-9 or 8-8 or playing in mid January at 10-6 or 9-7.

He basically won the 2nd jets game for them in buffalo. If he can have an impact like that in just one or 2 games it’s 100% worth being excited about.
