I don’t disagree with this but considering he was a borderline first rounder before the combine based on the factors you just talked about .... its completely fair to think he easily solidified that at the very least.

and there you go talking about average per game. why reference somebodies stat about how they plugged in JUST 21 into each game when that has nothing to do with what MCD said? when somebody says they wanna score a bare minimum of 21 in every game, just going and inserting 21(and nothing more than that) into every game and seeing how it works out is dumb..... becuz the coach referenced it as a minimum. whats so hard about this?

228 for metcalf…. seems like that photo was just a good angle and pump after all. probably put on a good 5-10 of lean mass from the regular season. reasonable...wheres all the people that were sure Metcalf was juicing out like david boston? @Alphadawg7, wasn't it you and I trying to explain to @Yav how silly it was to just blame the juice?

I’m not gonna pretend to know if he’s gonna make the roster or not. But what I saw in his highlight reel is the ability to reward his qb for the “area code” throw. That’s exciting and something that the bills were lacking BIG TIME last year.

I don’t disagree that we would still need more there. FWIW I live right on the fringe of “Stiller” country just south of Erie, PA. So I’ve seen a good amount of the guy. Nothing flashy but he is trustworthy and has come down with some timely catches. When I reached out to my handful of knowledgeable Pitt fans, that I can actually tolerate, they basicallly relayed the same things. Nothing flashy. Trustworthy. Would be a solid little signing. And again, FTR, I agree. There needs to be more done there, but I think he could be an asset and maybe even hold down the fort while a youngster develops.

I’m not gonna try and glorify James because that’s just silly. But you are skipping a big point here. McDonald was the starter there. So James was putting up fringe starter numbers as the #2 TE. Let’s not leave that little tid bit out.

I'll admit I didn't know much of him other than he was a starter in GB. it was when I talked to a close friend that happens to be a packers fan that I thought we might be on to something. he was VERY upset they didn't do what they needed to keep him. Turns out he had plenty of reason to feel that way.

it was almost the exact opposite of a "one year wonder list"... heck.... one guy, jerry porter, never even had a year worth mentioning and almost all of the others were by definition the opposite of one year wonders. it was an impressively bad list for this topic.

Um. For the most part this is a really bad list for one year wonders. Pickens has 4 1000 yd years so did warner staley and turner both had 3. Wilder and levens each had 2

i mean.... he went 10-6 with 4300 yds, 32td and 12 int in 95 with the lions... and also 9-7 with 3500 19td and 14int in 97.

Anyone remember Michael Clayton in Tampa bay. I do because I drafted him early in FF after he went 80 and 1100 his rookie season... dude never got more than 480 in a season after that. Also those spiller highlights in the front page are insane. I guess had forgotten his 2012 year. I remembered it being very good but it was just absurd! I just can’t get my head around how somebody could make professionals look so silly for one whole season like that and then never really make any sort of impact on a team again. It’s just crazy.

If I’m being honest this is just a really silly statement. A. As if anyone could ever know this... B. In all the years of playoffs and 9-7 OR WORSE teams making it and getting handled the bills went on the road and played the eventual conference runner-ups to a one score game. So if We’re being honest it’s just you saying that. Let’s not lump the masses into a rough comment like that.
