  1. here's some perspective.... people are ranting and raving about Edelman and his combined numbers through 18 freaking playoff games...... 78 yds a game. is that really enough to overcome his regular season numbers? REALLLYYY? elite playoff production is larry fitzgerald going off for 900+ yds and 10td in only 9 friggin games! 78 yds a game and 5 td in 18 playoff appearances isn't overcoming 5000 regular season yds in 9 season for Edelman...… get real folks!
  2. very similar to gale sayers production. 4 years of elite production and gone too soon. what are your thoughts on him? I totally understand an argument against davis but you team up that 4 year run with MASSIVE playoff numbers and I have no real issue with is induction. 1100 yds and 12 td in 8 playoff games? my lord.
  3. not to mention bruce actually averaged 6 more yds per game in the postseason than Edelman has as well.... people are looking at this from a raw cumulative numbers perspective. that's just foolish. obviously edelmans yardage and catch totals are gonna be huge. he's played in a ton of postseason games. a more accurate way to judge would be too look at his per game rankings in the postseason..... and i'm guessing that those wouldn't be nearly as impressive. this discussion is a joke to me.
  4. When I saw Scott’s post all I could do was chuckle. Somebody that far gone isn’t even worth your time. Edmunds was an individual in the middle of the 2nd ranked yardage D in the Nfl and 2nd overall defense in the NFL according to football outsiders DVOA. He EARNED conference defensive rookie of the month to close out the year and was the only player in the NFL with 120 tackles, 2 int, 2FF, and 10 passes defended. .... but he struggled all year and Scottlaw is quite worried. cool story, Bruh.....Foolishness.
  5. I mean..... he's listed at 6'3 255.... exactly how much heavier should he be? I agree with everything else though.
  6. very easy to immediately dislike a fan of another team when they lead in with something like this..... and what I think you meant to say was "didn't catch that ball he should have caught"..... amongst a handful of other large drops and not being available over the years. hindsight being what it is. that DROP in Miami saved us 7 draft slots. it was arguably the most helpful play he's ever "made" as a bill. all that being said, I think he'd be a real nice #2 option.
  7. I’ve actually come to appreciate defensive slug fests even more now that they are anomalous.... I’m sure the casual fan doesn’t. That being said I had a hard time enjoying anything about another pats W.
  8. Uh. About as much as I always have. Which is slim to none. And why are you talking trash for a pat? This is really weak on your part.... solid bump, bruh!
  9. Pizzas from the local joint. making wings here at the house... ....... and enough RANCH to paint the whole damn town!!!!
  10. its really this simple for me. I thought they moved on a year too late. or at the very least waited a year too long to draft a successor. but I agree with all your thoughts here.... the sad thing is you mention his name and there are some level headed posters that just go completely postal and its hard to take anything they say about other topics seriously after their posts in these threads.
  11. everything here is fair. I cant disagree with any of these points, guys..... I'd just like to see the guy bring the qb down a couple more times a season.
  12. I think a lot of the elite guys are unique in that way..... which is why I've maintained bell needs to be careful about chasing the cheddar. A lot of the teams that have it wont be able to afford him that patience. I said all year that Ivory seemingly being the more efficient runner said much more about the circumstances and the line than it did about Shady. So there's nothing I can disagree with here.
  13. .4 ypc and "what if" he touched the ball more is what we are using as our gauges now...… ROCK SOLID.
  14. my god this is a comical comparison.... but i'll bite. Gordon had the better season. why? because he had a full 1.5 yds better per ypc. he played 12 games as opposed to 16 for Johnson, while having just as many receptions and more receiving yards. Johnson just barely nipped him in rushing yds and that's due to playing 4 more games. really really bad example bro. now lets look at lindsay and barkley. barkley with 200+ more rushing yds, 500 more receiving yds, 55 more receptions, 700 more total yds, 5 more tds….. but .4 less per carry. the hilarious part here is you bagged on MY analysis. seriously..... geez, man.
  15. Receptions, tds, leading the nfl in scrimmage yards. Ya basically ALL the other data. And the the fact that he still had 5 ypc
  16. what exactly would be the right way to analyze it? other than YPC can you find me another statistic for lindsay? Barkley wasn't just better than Lindsay in numerous categories he was near tops in the league in almost all of them. you get that all you came back with was "only back in the league to go over 1000 yds with less than 200 carries"..... WOW! that did it! you are entitled to your opinion. that doesn't mean its not an awful one and doesn't have much of a foundation. if you wanna talk about who was a better value pick or something along those lines then we have a different argument. but barkley was clearly the better RB. where is the debate at? find me something else other than YPC. better yet find me another person on the planet, excluding lindsay, that thinks he was the better back.
  17. in other words the disparity in there numbers is so much so that I could only fathom somebody saying they like lindsey better as a joke.
  18. I dig that man. I really do. can somebody please explain to me then why the premiere rushers are at the top of the sack lists each year, but around here we have to always explain why hughes is so good? At what point does the dude just need to get home?
  19. Barkley led the entire league in scrimmage yds. 750 more than Lindsey. He also outscored him 15 to 10 Are you just screwing with us right now?
  20. wow I think it could be argued he was the best. at least up for a debate.
  21. I like hughes. I see no reason he should be cut lose but I get very tired of the "pressures" argument for him. its always the same thing with him. "He may not be getting numbers but he's having a great season".... i'm just not a fan of that. the good pass rushers in the nfl are perennially approaching double digit sacks. at what point can we finally say that may matter a bit? the good ones regularly get home on a year to year basis. I like hughes. solid player. don't want him to go. we need somebody better to be counted on as "the guy" in the pass rush.
  22. this is all spot on. i'll add that its truly pathetic when ANY time they ran for 4-6 yds on 1st or 2nd down I was genuinely surprised and relieved. By mid-season I remember sitting there watching a 5 yd run on first down and thinking "wow. how pathetic does the run game have to be that I am this excited about that run?" the pass blocking was streaky and at least showed some competence in spurts..... the run blocking was seriously downright embarrassing 90% of the season.
  23. I mean.... I get it because it’s the bills and they have been perennial losers. But with that being said. They finished with 6 wins last year. That includes 2 games thrown away due to Nate peterman. I can’t see any scenario that next years team gets worse and I have a very hard time seeing them not improve with a qb coming into his 2nd year, a top ten pick, and 80 mil in cap space. i’ll take the over all day there.
