  1. Yup. 16th I guess. I apparently havnt checked the rush yd ranking since before the pats game because before that one I wanna say I recall a ranking in the 10 or 11 range. My mistake. Regardless the kid had a nice rookie year. I dunno why the default mode for some around here, whenever something positive is pointed out about a players season, is to make sure everyone knows the “ya buts” about their game.
  2. Honestly.... the way you seem to talk about him if I didn’t know any better I would think this team was getting gutted for yds weekly right up the middle. It turns out there were right around the top ten in rush yds given up and 2nd in overall yds. Edmunds was right in the middle of it. He most definitely has some improving to do but your summaries don’t jive with how things turned out.
  3. you're right. the circus in the media and locker room on top of Tomlins reputation for lack of discipline probably had nothing to do with the implosion from 7-2-1 to out of the playoffs... while i'm not huge on "culture", lets not act like its meaningless....and referencing the exception to the rule when it comes to the pats seems like a huge reach to fortify your argument. that team has been the definition of "culture" for years.
  4. I believe 100% that if allen had the support of KC's run game, the players going up and getting area code balls for him like Kelce and hill did all year he would have been rookie of the year.
  5. Right. This isn’t some sort mystery here. The guy is a long strider with much more top end than acceleration. Guys at the combine aren’t even bringing their heads up from their drive phase until about 15-20 yds down the field. A nasty 40 is all in the get off. And most of those guys running 4.4’s and 4.3’s have extensive track work from the blocks since junior high. It’s all twitch out of the gates. Something Allen most likely didn’t spend a ton of time on. However it’s fairly evident his top speed rivals all but the fastest guys on a field. It’s an easy explanation. He’s got 5-10 yd running head start before he even hits the LOS and given that extra time to hit top speed he’s gonna be hard to run down and about as fast as anyone out there.
  6. I was thinking the same thing. A handful of plays that none of our guys have shown themselves capable of making.
  7. Ya. I’m not buying Rudolph. I live in Steeler country. It’s a land full of self righteous, spoiled fans that take having a HOF qb for granted. They’vd basically already fitted rudolph for his gold jacket because they don’t know how to register the concept of not having a top ten qb that can carry them to wins.... Rudolph May eventually take over, he won’t be a hall of famer and it will bring them clear on back pack to the pack, if not worse. Odds stack against teams hitting on qb after qb.
  8. I would be cool with it either way... but I think it could easily be argued that the potential to sure up the OT slot for the next decade and then fill in the wr’s and te’s later in this draft and the next would be just as valuable or arguably more so than 2 or 3 years of play from brown.
  9. This is how I would put it. Ben is close to the end of his career. Therefore i’d bet they are close to a rebuild. That’s probably a 5-7 win team without him this year.
  10. does anyone else chuckle every time they read "pig ben"? EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
  11. you've been reasonable.... I'm just busting balls.
  12. .@buffalobills @JoshAllenQB when any fan, analyst, or team analyze this guy please take into consideration the #of drops, the throwaways, and his escapes due to poor pass protection. There is a lot to work with on the positive side. #BaldysBreakdowns Buddy just sent me this tweet so I copied and pasted because I don’t have Twitter. Baldy knows what’s up!
  13. If I recall you basically said it all but sealed beane and McDermott getting canned in a year or 2. So i’d day “reduction” may be an understatement. Haha. I may be mistaken. Maybe that wasn’t you. But I’m fairly certain.
  14. ATTENTION ALL PUNCH BOWL PI**ERS: The majority of people that are excited about allen realize he's got work yet to do in order to be the QB the bills need him to be..... a novel idea to some of you, I know.
  15. Nah. I see it acknowledged about every 3rd post or so, on anything regarding Allen. Its like a default setting for half the poster around here. They see somebody excited about Allen and then immediately feel the need to respond with “he’s got a ton of work to do! Chill out!”
  16. In hindsight, with the 7 draft slots he “earned” us, it was the most beneficial play clay has made for this franchise in his 4 years as a bill.
  17. you understand this same woman was convicted back in 2011 of falsely accusing a different man, right? not to mention this same woman served jail time for false allegations back in 2011. she's complete scum.... and he's a complete IDIOT for keeping her around. you're an NFL player, bro.... go find some groupies that aren't completely freaking bats**t crazy and maybe just want some babies and child support instead of taking your whole career!
  18. I dig it. i'm not proud of this, but I automatically judge anyone who wouldn't immediately change the channel if he were on the radio.....
  19. I need to educate myself quite a bit more now that nfl regular season is over..... and even then, no I wont have overly strong opinions on many, if any, of the players. I rarely do. the way things work out, or don't workout, has shown its not a winning venture. I've had strong feelings about guys. I've had a hard on for Mayfield since he was a sophomore at OU. I also LOVED the james hardy pick?...… my point is, even if I feel one way or the other I've always realized that talking like you know one way or the other for sure about how a pick is gonna pan out isn't very becoming. its just so happens its a fairly common trait here.... and that's fine I suppose. Because it is a place to voice opinion, after all..... people just need to be prepared when it makes them look really foolish. if watching the NFL or the draft has taught me anything over the years its that people really don't have much of a pulse on if they actually know or don't know whether a guy is gonna pan out or not.
  20. because I've watched enough football and enough draft picks to realize that coming to any sort of dramatic conclusions(positive or negative) about any player before they even played a down is folly.
  21. i'm honestly not trying to be a jerk here guys but I have no clue how somebody can come to such over the top conclusions about a guy so early in their career. "he just wont ever get it".... after 6 games?...… seriously? that's just so silly to me. I don't know how that stuff can be taken seriously.
  22. I talked myself into it within a hour after the draft and was all in. I’ve always been able to do that as a fan. I also thought everyone coming in here like they knew how these qb’s would pan out one way or the other looked like fools and I told them as much. If people come on here and act like they “know” how a qb is gonna workout it usually says to me they hadn’t watched a ton of the nfl or drafts over the years.
  23. What’s even more maddening is listening to the commentary in the background. “The was a perfect throw” ”that’s a great throw” ”should have been caught” ????? I get this happens to numerous teams. But the lack of plays made for the qb teamed with the BLATANT drops of nice balls is just inexcusable.
