  1. Why can't it be like that for Brady? At least each year I'd have some hope, even if he did return each time. As of the past few years, he has been firm on his position that he's not retiring until 45 or some dumb s***. Can't he just be happy with I dunno.... SIX FRIGGIN SUPER BOWLS?! You already surpassed everyone with 5, the hell did you need a 6th one for? And why are you still going for more?! Just to make other people miserable? Eat a bag of...well you know.
  2. Doesn't matter what anyone wants to say, all that is 100% certain is that it was an idiotic decision to bench your year-long starter who lead you to the playoffs in favor of an unproven backup for the Wildcard game. Never happened before, never will happen again. Doesn't matter if Johnson didn't lose us the game, it was a stupid decision. Fact.
  3. There can be plenty of tense moments without low scoring games... And there were big defensive plays made too... Something like 6 or 7 turnovers forced by defenses that kept putting the pressure on the other to go separate themselves. When offenses are that good, it's hard for anyone to stop them. The whole idea that people don't play defense in basketball is also a big myth... especially for those that think college basketball is somehow superior due to better defense than the pros. It's not like all those great defenders in college suddenly forgot how to play once they got to the NBA. However, they suddenly started playing against the best athletes in the world instead of random amateurs that have no offensive capabilities & aren't freakishly talented/athletic. But that's not the point... Those were 2 AMAZING offenses with huge talent on both teams that provided difficulty for almost every team they faced the entire season.
  4. Even if he throws it 10 mph, he still has won 2 more Super Bowls than the Bills have even been to, and nobody would be surprised if he won another... The a**hole just won't ever retire.
  5. I don't even remember the hype surrounding it. I just remember the enjoyment I got from watching it live. It was really awesome to watch two prolific offenses battle it out. Was not disappointed.
  6. Like the Chiefs vs Rams game this past season. It was amazing to watch those 2 offenses duke it out, and the defenses did come through with some great turnovers too.
  7. All this discussion of "all we need is 10 years of winning tradition, and we'll bring in more revenue!" like it's easy or something are just kidding themselves. That is never a given, and we fans should know that better than anyone. We nearly have 20 years of losing "tradition" right now, and 10 years of sustained success is pretty damn difficult. We know in a literal sense that 10 straight years of winning isn't likely for anyone aside from the Patriots, so who else fits the bill of 10 years sustained success? Here are each team's winning season/losing season records the last 10 years: 10 Winnings Seasons: Patriots 9 Winning Seasons: NONE 8 Winning Seasons: Packers & Steelers 7 Winning Seasons: Ravens, Texans, Chiefs, Seahawks 6 Winning Seasons: Bengals, Colts, Chargers, Eagles, Saints, Falcons 5 Winning Seasons: Broncos, Cowboys, Vikings, 4 Winning Seasons: Titans, Lions, Cardinals, 3 Winning Seasons: Jets, Redskins, Giants, Bears, Panthers, 49ers 2 Winning Seasons: Bills, Buccaneers, Rams 1 Winning Season: Dolphins, Jaguars, Raiders 0 Winning Seasons: Browns So you have a total of 13 teams with more winning seasons than losing ones, but IMO only 3 of those teams have truly had sustained success (Patriots, Packers & Steelers), while 7 total could really be argued as having a "winning tradition" over 10 years (when you include the Ravens, Texans, Chiefs & Seahawks). To get 10 years of "winning tradition" behind us, we'd have to do what pretty much 25 other teams in the league could not do, and we'd have to hope the "build a new stadium" drum the NFL is beating slows down to even allow that to happen. That's not likely either, and as a business, the NFL is constantly looking for ways to generate more revenue regardless of how profitable they already are. With the Bills being the least valuable of 32 teams, it's not enough that we simply make more profit than some other markets. We're not generating enough cash for the league overall, and that does matter. Our ceiling isn't very high at the moment, but with a new stadium that will allow for some more growth. And if Buffalo continues to improve in actual city development, a new stadium can profit from that growth too. Not saying taxpayers would benefit from pumping their money into it, only that a new stadium will help Buffalo pull more of its weight from the NFL's perspective.
  8. Splitting Carrie's? That sounds like something OJ would look forward to... ?
  9. https://www.easports.com/madden-nfl/player-ratings?i=1&s=ovr_rating:DESC&=undefined Here's a list of all of them. Oliver has the 2nd overall ranking out of everyone, only 1 point behind the Jets' Quinnen Williams at 80.
  10. If the Bills would let a young, talented WR go, especially when it's a position where injuries are pretty common, they're extremely dumb. Hopefully it's just the writer who's dumb, because Foster has the talent to be our best WR, not just a backup. We might've paid a decent chunk of money for some FA's to come in, but can you really see someone like Beasley becoming a legit #1? No.
  11. I hope there are protests in the streets about this act of violence too! Whoever did this is a scumbag and needs to face proper punishment. Must feel so proud that he killed an 11 year old girl. Big man right there.
  12. Odds are Allen is going to lead us in rushing again. Our RB's are just there as decoys
  13. White lightning? As opposed to most lightning which is brown? ?
  14. I love how every year for the past 20 years, fans get all pissed about writers & analysts predicting the team will be bad/won't make the playoffs and acting like THEY are the problem...not the Bills. Then 19 out of 20 years the writers are proven right, yet here we are again stomping our feet & trying to argue it's the writers of these articles that are the bad guys lol. Maybe just once try not to act so offended when people predict a team that's been bad for soooo long is still going to be bad. The team has to PROVE they've improved. "Winning the offseason," doesn't count. We know this.
  15. We were second overall in total yards allowed, but were far from 2nd overall in many other categories. And yards allowed isn't always the best metric for good defenses. Think back to 2014 when we were 1st in the league in sacks with 54 total, 3rd overall in takeaways, had 3 of 4 linemen in the Pro Bowl and were just dominating people (including 3 straight games where we made HOF QB's look terrible in Rodgers, Brady & Manning), and had the 4th best scoring defense. I believe we were only ranked 4th overall in total yards allowed that year. There's no way our defense was anywhere close to as good as it was in 2014, yet we're ranked higher due to pundits using total yards allowed as the main metric cited.
  16. I 100% agree with you. Only thing is Allen actually had the worst deep ball accuracy percentage too last year, so even that's not technically a strength yet. Also, you said Beasley only caught four deep passes last season but then listed off 5, just fyi
  17. I can see anywhere from as low as 4 to as high as 9, so I'm going with 6. Even 6 sacks for a DT is pretty damn great though. Early in his college career he was being compared to Donald, but he never performed as well as Donald did in college, and isn't the animal on the field Donald is either. Doesn't mean he can't become a great defensive threat, but Donald is on another plane of existence as a defender. Even being in the conversation would mean Oliver is doing something right. Good luck to him!
  18. I can't wait to see him & Trump go back & forth on Twitter! It'll officially usher in the collapse of society. A new age is upon us ladies & gentlemen!
  19. Yes, he's about to be a 2nd year QB like Mahomes was last year. Then next year he'll be a 3rd year QB like Mahomes is this year. THEN, the following year...get this, he'll be a 4th year QB like Mahomes was the previous year! And guys...you won't believe this... that next season, he'll be a 5th year QB like Mahomes was too! Trajectory established. Might as well be twins with such similar paths. So Allen is only going to play 7 more seasons? And in those 7 more seasons he's going to play so phenomenal, he'll be a first ballot HOFer? You may want to raise your expectations of him... I think you're selling him a little short. Perhaps have a bit more faith in the guy.
  20. Just like "Character" and "High-Motor" players beat out talent and skills? I wish it were true, but I'm pretty sure strategy wins out MOST of the time.
  21. Stevie Johnson was what, a 7th round pick and became our #1 WR. It's not that crazy when you have they physical gifts and the proper motivation. Foster had more yards receiving (with a rookie QB who was extremely raw and inconsistent throwing to him) than any of our WR's did with Tyrod the season before (and only 17 less than our leader in 2017, Charles Clay). Aside from 30 yards, he put up all his numbers in only the last 7 games of the year, including three 100-yard games. Yes, it's premature to just think he'll be the next AB, but at the same time it's pretty easy to see how he could become a star on this team and a #1 WR. Even though he was undrafted, it's much, much easier to image him as a legit #1 threat as opposed to a 2nd round pick like Zay Jones. Jones may end up becoming a consistent player in this league, but there's almost no way I can envision him as a true #1 WR. If anyone on this team can be, Foster is the only one that seems plausible for that role under any circumstance.
  22. "Historically good?" I doubt it. I've heard that before, and we had a better all around defense than the one we have now, yet never lived up to expectations. However, all 5 points you make are solid. On paper, it definitely seems like our defense should improve, though there are reasons to think it may not improve quite as much as some may think. Losing Kyle also means losing the heart of that locker room & a lot of leadership. We still have players that have strong voices, but replacing Kyle's passion and the respect his teammates had for him won't be easy. Ed Oliver & Edmunds are still unproven. Oliver SHOULD be a solid player from day 1, but nothing is a given with rookies. It's safe to say Edmunds didn't live up to expectations last seasons, but he was also very young. Right now he's getting the benefit of the doubt based on where he was drafted and the "potential" argument, but on the field he hasn't been impressive with the exception of a few rare glimpses. If he plays like he did last year, that will be a huge problem. Lastly, Lorenzo's age will catch up to him eventually. At his position, his age should already be affecting him quite a bit, but somehow he's managed to be one of the best pieces of our defense anyway. Aside from performance dropping off, he's at a higher risk for injury too. Losing him at any point will leave a pretty sizable hole in our defenses. Anyway, your points are all still valid, and we very well could see a year over year improvement in all categories if all goes right. Our secondary is still top notch, as White & Johnson proved they only get better the more play time they get, and Hyde & Poyer are a fantastic duo, no doubts about their abilities whatsoever. It's just a matter if everything else will come together, and I certainly am optimistic they will.
  23. Hope our revamped offensive line gives him a good challenge to practice against. If he had joined the team last season, he'd probably think the NFL was going to be a breeze after lining up against our guys. Playing against experienced guys each day will really help him develop that much quicker.
  24. I seriously believe Robert Foster will emerge into a bigger threat than Zay Jones ever will.
  25. This video really made me appreciate what a special talent we already have on the roster at WR. A 5 star recruit that wasn't living up to potential, but had a fire lit under his a** and turned it up the 2nd half of the season. The guy has a really high ceiling, and may turn out to be the best offensive weapon we have if he continues to make a great of strides as he did this year. Really excited to see what the future holds for him on the Bills.
