MSN poll on worst NFL team this season
BigDingus replied to Nervous Guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Even if we were 0-16, other butthurt, overdramatic fans in bigger markets will always vote their team as the worst. -
I like where your mind is at! Throw in a Logan Thomas + Terrelle Pryor wrinkle, and how will anyone ever know which threat to defend!?

We're really playing 4D chess while everyone else is playing checkers. McDermott & Co. next-leveling the s*** out of these coaches! Last week it was WC & flea flickers, this week it's left footed punters. Maybe next week we'll put Shady out at Center, snapping to Ivory.

He's right. Nearly every year since he was fired I've written him letters to be the HC of my Madden team. For the life of me I can't play beyond the "Pro" difficulty. I figured with the wealth of knowledge Gregg has at his disposal, he could at least get me to "All Pro," so I can stop getting rekt online.

Per WR John Brown, he turned down a 3 yr deal from Bills
BigDingus replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Anquan Boldin & Percy Harvin retired just to get away from us. Unless we draft them or scrape them up off the streets, it's unlikely we'll get anyone decent. That's why you gotta give TO credit. Nearing the end of his career, he not only played out an entire season here with our poor QB's, he managed to be our receiving leader that year too. -
Matt Slater of the Pats had some nice words about our fans
BigDingus replied to JMF2006's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, I made the mistake of going to a Bills home game against the Pats once too. For a while there, I thought I lucked into the greatest experience ever...as the Bills were up 28 to 3 (or close to that) at half time. I remember my fiancee & I were going crazy with the fans in the seats, thinking holy s***, the Bills are actually going to beat Brady and I'm here!!!!!! Little did I know they would go on to score something like 40 unanswered points to open the second the half........How in the hell we allowed them to not only come back, but to blow us out after being up that much still blows my mind. I wish the ***** guy was there that day, as I would've taken that ***** & broke it off up Brady's ***. -
To be fair, except for one series of plays in the 2nd half, the refs were pretty lenient & didn't flag the Bills anywhere close to what we're used to seeing. Still angry by the Benjamin call, but I get it's technically the rule. Doesn't sting as much since he made up for it with that big catch, but still.... And didn't Edelman get flagged for this call? I'm probably wrong, but either way I thought the game was pretty evenly called.

IF THE BILLS WERE TO EVER LEAVE BUFFALO
BigDingus replied to Irv's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Haha I was just editing my comment as you responded. Yeah, I just read up on it again and realized that. It's really some BS the way they were pretty much bullied to leave Buffalo even though the team was doing well financially. -
IF THE BILLS WERE TO EVER LEAVE BUFFALO
BigDingus replied to Irv's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That sounds great, really would love to have experienced the atmosphere of an NBA game in Buffalo. I imagine a team there now would have a similar level of support that fans of the Spurs or Jazz give their respective teams. I thought the owner of the Braves traded teams with the Celtics owner, then moved the team to San Diego/LA? At least that's what I remember reading from Wikipedia. Never heard of Darien Lake though, but after googling it, surprised to see it's still around! Edit: Nvm, just read up a bit on it. Can't believe that even though the team was profitable, maintaining the league average in ticket sales & attendance, and getting good ratings on TV, outside politics pretty much forced the team to leave. Of course, other expansion teams that came around during that time still hung around, but Buffalo got the crap end of the stick -
Jimmy Kimmel shames Bills fan's sign
BigDingus replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I paused the TV & went back to that seconds after I saw it. I just asked my wife "did that guy just type that out moments before the game knowing he'd be on TV?!" Out of all things he could've put, with basic font, text and on just a piece of printer paper with landscape orientation? I really wish I knew WTH he was thinking. Sean Penn...really? Really let politics affect you that much? I'm guessing your political views inspired that comment too? -
IF THE BILLS WERE TO EVER LEAVE BUFFALO
BigDingus replied to Irv's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Since I'm half convinced it's my bad luck that drags the Bills down, I'd move on to becoming a Patriots fan to ensure they never win another Super Bowl, or even a playoff game, ever again. Still so hard to imagine Buffalo having 3 major pro sports teams, especially an NBA team. Did the city just not care about NBA at the time? Even though the city is much smaller now, there's no way I could see the current population not being supportive of a team if they still had one. -
For the first time in my life, I want a Bills QB to do well not for the Bills as a team, but for them as a human being. Peterman already has had to deal with so much, just for failing at a game, that any more failure could ruin the guy's head permanently. He probably didn't expect his life to take this turn when he was at Pitt playing football, dreaming of improving his life & getting drafted to an NFL team. Now his life his the butt of jokes, and his name is synonymous with interceptions. Hope it goes well for him, if even just this one last time.

Applebees Boneless Wings on ESPN
BigDingus replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bush? Are they relevant to Buffalo somehow? I haven't heard that song for ages... -
He can still retire as a Bill after having a chance to play for a good team for once. The fact that he spent his career in Buffalo on non-contender teams virtually ensures he won't ever get in the HOF, so might as well chase a ring while you still have a chance.

QB Kyle Allen worked out for Bills
BigDingus replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Feels like we're comfortable spinning the tires, putting in no effort picking up any random warm body off the streets, all while our defense tries their best to keep us in games for nothing. I'm not even mad anymore, just sad for those guys. Even if the season is already lost, having them play like that each week only to watch as the offense craps away all their hard work is deflating. -
We should trade for Bridgewater NOW
BigDingus replied to BigDingus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Should we still not even attempt to look into someone promising like Bridgewater? Does everyone else feel fine watching our defense play their hearts out for nothing week after week? If only we had a semi capable QB who could move the ball... -
ESPN Animated Graphic of the Bills' QB Situation
BigDingus replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This was pretty amusing. My wife was already commenting about all the goofy graphics & animations they had, then when that popped up she just goes "WHERE DO THEY COME UP WITH THIS STUFF?!" They all should've been going down the falls though...they've been pretty awful. -
I have a question about Colorado State Laws, as it seems quite different from Texas. I work in corrections at the county jail here, and I'm pretty familiar with our laws. What the heck is a "class 5 felony," though? In Texas it breaks down like this: *Trespassing is a Class C Misdemeanor *Criminal Trespassing is a Class B Misdemeanor *Criminal Trespassing of a Habit/Shelter is a Class A Misdemeanor *Criminal Trespassing with a Deadly Weapon is a Class A Misdemeanor All misdemeanors here, no felonies. We don't even have "class 5 felonies," here. From weakest/lowest offense: Class C Misdemeanor (like a traffic warrant, public intoxication, theft of $50 or less, etc.) Class B Misdemeanor Class A Misdemeanor State Jail Felony (not quite bad enough to be a true felony, but not quite small enough to be a misdemeanor) Class 3 Felony Class 2 Felony Class 1 Felony So would a "class 5 Felony" be equivalent to our Class A Misdemeanor? If so, just using the word "felony" in it makes it sound MUCH more serious.

People on social media can't "convict" or "prosecute" anyone moron. Such a lame, overly dramatic complaint that gets thrown out time & time again. "Court of public opinion" blah blah. The public can have an opinion. The public can discuss it. Don't like it? Move to another country. Here's the thing though, the public has no legal baring on Chad Kelly getting himself arrested, nor can they enforce any punishment on him. So saying "social media legal system," as if that actually means something is beyond idiotic. Social media exists, yes. People can discuss news on said social media, yes. If that gets you bent out of shape, maybe you should move to North Korea or Iran.

Why do new coaches overhaul rosters?
BigDingus replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I want to go into detail about how awful it is when coaches do this, but I'm tired. You're right though, it rarely works. It usually just causes a revolving door of creating holes, wasting drafts replacing those holes, and then getting canned when "your guys" didn't have time to grow into the players you want. Then the next coaching staff comes in, cleans house, and the cycle starts again. It's a good way to keep your franchise in the crapper for years. -
Next week: BILLS 42, PATS 27!!!
BigDingus replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
LOL must be. The Bills scoring the equivalent of half their point total through the year so far in one game? That would be a sight to behold, especially coming from Anderson. -
To be honest, I like that version of Brady more than his normal self. He's usually a clone of Belichick...calm, quiet (except on the field when he's yelling at his team), all business, boring, politically correct, says all the right things, etc. Actually having a personality? Now that's an improvement, even if it is calling out the BillsMafia. And let's be honest, we would love to hate him instead of just hate him if we were even semi-competitive against him the past 2 decades. It was fun to hate Dan Marino, but that's because we could beat him at his best. But with Brady? He can beat us after an all night bender, on no sleep, while concussed.

We should trade for Bridgewater NOW
BigDingus replied to BigDingus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Right. Last time I heard that was JP Losman...oh wait, it was Trent Edwards, wait nvm, it was Ryan Fitzpatrick, no that's not it, it was EJ Manuel, oh shoot...it was Tyrod Taylor! It's always something, it's just never the QB is it? If it's not the WR's or TE's, it's the O-line...if not the O-line, it's the Offensive Coordinator. If not the OC, it's the HC. It's the f'ing QB's... And I'm saying this as someone who's well aware of the O-line & WR situations, as I've been harping on it all offseason. But unless you haven't been paying attention to the All-22 breakdowns or what everyone in the world can see, the QB's are far WORSE than any other position on offense. Until the QB's can even improve to the level of the other skill positions, you can't blame them. There's plenty of evidence showing the WR's, as poorly assembled a group as they may be, are getting open more often than not, and it's the awful QB play that's really dragging down the offense. Any half-decent QB could at least consistently go 16/25 for 175 yards, and 1 TD with most any group of WR's and TE's. Problem is we don't have anything even close to resembling "half decent." Deny all you want, but you're foolish to pretend otherwise. Ignore all the players (both former, and current...including those on our team), coaches, scouts, experts, journalists (both local & national), statistics, etc. but no capable QB's could crap the bed week in & week out like Josh Allen + Peterman + Anderson. - Peter King, Murph & Tasker - https://wgr550.radio.com/media/audio-channel/10-16-hr-3-one-bills-live (Bills QB situation is "lunacy") - All 22: https://twitter.com/Cover_1_/status/1049420057254776832 - More All 22 (Allen's supporting cast is limited by HIM, not the other way around) - https://thedraftnetwork.com/2018/10/09/josh-allens-struggles-go-beyond-lackluster-supporting-cast/ - Todd Gurley alone has more points than the entire Bills Offense - https://sports.yahoo.com/todd-gurley-outscored-bills-7-weeks-025127902.html - The Bills passing offense is averaging the same stats as teams from 1941 - http://www.footballperspective.com/week-6-passing-stats-the-bills-are-above-average-at-passing-for-1941/ But stay in denial, even though all the evidence points to the QB's holding back the already low-skilled WR's, TE's and offense in general -
Unless our defense can hold them to a field goal all game, their historically bad defense won't matter. And in reference to their "historically bad" defense, it's only comparing it to their own franchise. Our "historically bad" offense on the other hand is bad on an actual league-wide historical level....not just our own franchise.
