  1. Has bringing back an old, previously successful coach for a franchise ever helped a team win a SB? The Raiders brought back Art Shell, then fired him after a year. The Raiders also brought back Jon Gruden, but he accomplished nothing. The Colts brought back Ted Marchibroda, and he got them to the playoffs once (all the way to the AFCCG) & was done after that. The Redskins brought back Joe Gibbs, and he at least got them to the playoffs twice, but the other 2 seasons finished last in the division. During the drought, the Bills brought back Marv as a GM, and I remember a LOT of people on the old BBMB were hoping he'd come back to coach (thankfully, he didn't). I'm sure there are others, but I can't think of anyone who actually had more success in their 2nd run than in their first.
  2. The end of an error, I mean era.
  3. Flexing games to a different time slot within the same day is fine. Flexing them to a different date, now during weekdays? Absolutely not. You just screwed over thousands of people who already bought tickets for that game or made travel plans for a different date. But hey, at least Amazon's ratings will be better!
  4. So Josh Allen & Dalton Kincaid are women dressed as Han Solo? That explains why I'm so attracted to them. I knew I wasn't gay!
  5. When it's 4th & short, especially on the opponent's side of the field, it almost always makes sense to go for it when Allen is your QB. If it's 4th & inches, he can sneak up the middle or get a tush-push. If it's 4th & a couple yards, he can scramble long enough to find an open man or get the yards himself. He's big enough to take the hit & plow over someone if necessary, and he's just fast enough that he can out run a lot of defenders, especially if they're not coming from a great angle. What hurts us is going for it on 4th down where we take it out of Allen's hands (like the fake punt to Damar). And this is just speculation, but I doubt the Bills practice these types of trick plays & gadget plays nearly as much as a team like KC does. So when it comes to execute in a game, it's more likely to go wrong.

  7. I HATE The Athletic! They're charging me $10 a month for over a year, despite not having a subscription with them! I've logged in to every email I've ever used, and they all say I don't have a subscription. Yet once a month, there's that damn Athletic charge! Conveniently, you can't call them, and if you email them to complain, they just give you an automated response about "no refunds." I don't want a refund, I want you to stop billing me! 🤬
  8. Sir, have you been drinking & typing again?
  9. I know, it's super weird. And I thought he'd immediately revert back after this weekend, but instead he's making the rounds gloating about how right he was on the Bills. Just saw his podcast where he said the Bills are the team he'd least like to see in the playoffs, so maybe he's going to stick it out. But either way, he definitely doesn't like the "Lamar for MVP" stuff. It probably has to do with not wanting Lamar to have more MVPs than Mahomes, but he's been saying Lamar's overrated all year 😅
  10. I agree with that, but the most of the media (with the exception of Nick Wright) seems to be ready to give the crown back to Lamar the second they start stringing together wins again. And if not him, the Lions are everyone's 2nd favorite team right now, so I could definitely see a scenario where Goff gets the MVP if the Lions keep steamrolling people & the Bills lose a couple more games.
  11. I'm not sure about this part. If he keeps playing like he has the past few weeks, the numbers won't be good enough for voters unless the team keeps winning. He's got 23 total TDs, but his INTs are ramping up while the TDs are coming along at the same rate. If the Bills win out, then voters might overlook that. But if they drop a couple more games, Allen's numbers are going to need to be a lot more impressive to win MVP
  12. If we beat the Lions, it'll change all my expectations of this season. Despite being 9-2, I still can't quite accept that they're genuine SB contenders. Call it being a lifetime Bills fan, always waiting for the other shoe to drop, but I've mainly been hoping to see Allen win an MVP & beat KC in the playoffs. Super Bowl hasn't been something I truly thought was possible this season, but a win over the Lions & the Chiefs would certainly change that.
  13. If we can afford it, absolutely. If not, the Bills should keep stocking up on those late round picks, as they can clearly find good value later than rounds 1 & 2.
  14. Dude has had plenty of time to "develop." It's on him at this point.
  15. Me too, he's truly a brilliant coaching mind. His GM skills need work, but there's no doubt he'd still out coach many of the guys in this league.
  16. Ah, it's gonna be fun week! If anything, it'll be amazing not to have to hear "Bills haven't beaten anyone yet" or be constantly reminded of the blowout loss to the Ravens. "Lamar is better than Allen - he beat him head to head!" Ok, well football math doesn't work. Chiefs beat Ravens, but the Bills beat Chiefs, so...? And best of all, the 1 seed is still in play!
  17. I need to workout legs more. My thighs are burning from jumping up & down so much!
  18. What curse has been placed on this team that we have to suffer 2 more injuries right at the end of the game?!
  19. I'd love that, but the Chiefs DBs have been pretty good covering our receivers downfield. Josh has made some good throws downfield, so hopefully they can find opportunities. He's also missing some easier throws though, so it could be dangerous. If they go conservative, it's obvious they're trying to limit chances for turnovers.
  20. Probably because we're averaging 2.6 YPC. They've been stuffed.
  21. Why is passing on 1st down so difficult for us? Why is Josh suddenly struggling to make good throws? It's still a 1 point game (thanks Bass), but it's just so depressing to watch. I want Josh to win MVP so badly at least once, but every time people see him on national TV he does stuff like this. Now we're back to Josh throwing INTs every game. It's like the beginning of the year was a fluke. We can still win, but I guess I'm just sad to see the regression.
  22. The Lions are absolutely insane right now. It's the 4th time they've put up 40+ points in a game this season. Wow.
  23. That's the setup I want, only with the red helm So beautiful, it brings a tear to my eye. Every other team has multiple alternate jerseys & helmets, yet the Bills refuse to give us this amazing look. If we see the standing buffalo on white helmets again before we get just ONE 90's throwback red helmet game, I'm gonna be so salty!
  24. Pretty sure I saw a stat about Allen & the Bills being pretty terrible throwing on first down. I think they were something like 4 for 11 for like 24 yards & 2 INTs last week. That may be why they tend to run on first down. Not sure why they struggle so much with it, but I like where your head is at!
  25. Probably some let down game, Chiefs 34 Bills 20 Edit: Just realized I was only off by 3 points last week! I predicted Bills 33 Colts 20! So now that I've realized my true powers, I'm going to wish Bills 35 - Chiefs 27 into existence (note: this is to see if I can abuse my prediction powers) 😉
