  1. Hope he can do that in the divisional round this year. I can only remember one great divisional round performance, and McDermott & his defense blew it for us.
  2. Hahahaha Bengals miss the playoffs! Woooohooo! Suck it Burrow 😆
  3. I'm just making peace with the fact we'll have to beat the Burrow, Lamar & Mahomes in the playoffs. It seems we're always destined for the 2 seed, so just gotta accept that the only way to the SB is 3 straight playoff wins & a fight against KC. The biggest worry is, as always, the defense. Can they play well against elite QBs? Will they ever show they're capable of stopping the run? Their history says no, but we have to hope something changes...
  4. Since the Bills seem to prefer hiring internally, it'll be someone already on the team. Probably a random positional coach. But the Bills should just pay Brady whatever he wants & promise him the HC position if McDermott blows it & gets fired.
  5. So I was watching Colin's week 17 reaction video (Bills segment at 38:25) & he immediately goes into talking about McDermott. "I think these are the Sean McDermott playoffs.... "If they get bounced early in the playoffs... if Cincinnati got in & played Buffalo in the 1st round, and Cincinnati won, I'm telling you, I think McDermott's in trouble." "When I watch this team - I don't want to hear about Josh Allen. This is not a Josh Allen referendum. He lost a game cuz he scored a TD with 13 seconds left to Mahomes." "This team, this coaching staff, has REAL pressure on them." We were really down on McDermott last year, and there's been a decent amount of discussion about McDermott this year (especially after the Rams game), but I've heard many others throwing his name out for Coach of the Year. It sounds odd that someone who some consider COTY material would also be someone who could get fired after this postseason, regardless of outcome. If the scenario that Colin suggested played out & we lost to the Bengals in the WC round, then yeah, I don't see how you can keep him. But what about the divisional round? Nobody would be happy with another 2nd round exit, but would this start to feel like a Marvin Lewis situation (only the 2nd round instead of the 1st)? I'm not preemptively planning for defeat, but I also haven't really considered what this team would look like without McDermott. Him & Beane are so close, it's hard to imagine a true coaching staff reboot. What do you all think? Is this postseason a "Sean McDermott" playoffs?
  6. I wasn't paying much attention to him, but just watched some highlights again & saw him get beat on the 2nd TD pass. Was he ok aside from that?
  7. This was hilarious, but it also reminded me how many risky throws Allen made running to his right & trying to heave it up to someone deep. He really can't be doing that in the playoffs against good teams. We got lucky none of those were picked.
  8. Why does the image only show 4 seasons then? And why is the number getting smaller?! Is Josh getting worse?!?!?! OUR WINDOW IS CLOSING!
  9. Let's be real, Allen doesn't always throw the prettiest or best placed passes. Even today there were quite a few questionable throws (including the actual TD to Keon). The whole point of getting someone like Coleman or trading for Cooper is so that they can help mitigate some of that downside & catch those passes that would otherwise be incomplete. Keon pointing "throw higher next time" (if that's what he was doing) is perfectly fine, as he's just communicating how it could work the NEXT time. It's not like he was stomping his feet & throwing his hands in the air getting all pissy. Allen might be an MVP candidate, but he's not levitating above his lowly serfs with a halo over his head. If he's a real leader, he can handle his comrades giving him recommendations, fielding criticisms, or being open to advice, regardless of how young or inexperienced the comrade is.
  10. KC is going to rest starters & use the 2 weeks to rest up. Maybe they'll use the Broncos game to try out some new gadget plays & experiment a bit, or maybe they'll put some new things on film to give their 2nd round opponent something to think about. Or maybe they'll just use these two weeks to study & get some extra film time in. Either way, I fully expect the Broncos to win, as they control their own destiny. I highly doubt Miami will sneak in. Even so, I feel the Bills SHOULD handle whichever team pretty well. As usual, the problem will be the divisional round & likely having to face the Ravens. It'll be really upsetting if we end up losing to Burrow, then Mahomes, then Lamar back-to-back-to-back in the 2nd round.
  11. Yeah... that's not good at all. Seems we get cold feet any time we play weak defenses, so even then I don't expect the Bills will be able to score on the Bengals as much as everyone else.

  13. Here's the problem with this debate. 1) Lamar is absolutely deserving of MVP & definitely playing better than Allen 2) Lamar was absolutely NOT deserving of MVP last year & was definitely outplayed by Allen 3) Lamar is always treated like some victim who never gets any credit, leading to people making personal attacks against his competitors in order to defend him. And it's number 3 that bothers me the most. I'm so sick of people saying "is Lamar the most underappreciated/disrespected QB ever?" despite the fact that he was voted MVP TWICE already! Do they forget that their peers in the media vote for MVP & chose Lamar as MVP over Allen? Did they forget that Lamar's peers voted him as a better player than Allen on the NFL Top 100 list? Most underrated or most disrespected? Was Lamar the one who was voted most overrated player before the season? Was the media sharing stories about an anonymous GM saying Lamar was the most overrated player in the league? Wait, that was Josh Allen. Then you have preseason expectations. Everyone was predicting the Ravens to be even better this year after adding Derek Henry. Meanwhile, they predicted the Bills would finish 2nd or possibly even 3rd in their own division behind the Jets & Dolphins! Yet despite all that, Lamar's team has a worse record than they did last season, and Allen's has the 2nd best record in the AFC. He's doing more with less, regardless of how great Lamar is playing. So does Lamar "deserve" MVP? Sure, he's playing at an MVP level. But is Allen the most valuable player to his team? DEFINITELY.
  14. I don't really feel the Ravens are that inconsistent anymore... At least not Lamar & Henry. At worst, kicking, defense & some odd coaching calls can screw them over, but Lamar & Henry are both playing like MVPs... I hate to say it, but I REALLY want to avoid playing them in the playoffs.
  15. QB: Josh Allen RB: Thurman Thomas WR1: Andre Reed WR2: Stefon Diggs WR3: Eric Moulds TE: Jay Riemersma (fight me!) T1: Jason Peters T2: Dion Dawkins G1: Joe DeLamielleure G2: Ruben Brown (fight me again!) C : Kent Hull DE1: Bruce Smith (duh) DE2: Mario Williams DT1: Kyle Williams DT2: Marcell Dareus OLB1: Cornelius Bennett OLB2: Takeo Spikes MLB: London Fletcher CB1: Antoine Winfield CB2: Nate Clements CB3: Stephon Gilmore FS: Micah Hyde SS: Jordan Poyer (Yeah, I know that's 12 defensive players, but it depends on 4-3 or 3-4 scheme!) P: Brian Moorman K: Tyler Bass... pre-this year. KR: Terrence McGee
  16. I'm a real Elam truther, dating back to training camp his rookie year. And the truth is Elam is not good. He will never be a long term starter on this team. He's the biggest bust of the Beane/McDermott era, and when he's in the game, you know something went horribly wrong.
  17. That is definitely the dream scenario, but after the Rams loss & seeing how KC has been playing lately, I pretty much moved on from considering the 1 seed a real possibility. At this point, I'm just looking at best paths to get to the AFCCG, and in my mind, that means avoiding Baltimore for as long as possible. Even if we're a better team, I just don't think they're a good matchup. Lamar & Henry are too much for our D.
  18. As long as Buffalo wins just 1 of their next 2 games, it's ok if Pittsburgh wins out. We'll still have a 1 game lead over them.
  19. I care more about Pittsburgh beating KC next week to stay ahead of Baltimore in the standings. If the Ravens get the 3rd seed, that means they'd play the Chargers in the WC, then go to play Buffalo in the divisional round. I prefer not to play Baltimore & would rather them go to KC.
  20. Exactly what I think. He doesn't seem to let mistakes or pressure get to him, and he's already accurate. Couple that with being a much more capable runner, and he's definitely got a lot of potential.... unfortunately.
  21. Just because you're within 5 yards of the LOS, doesn't mean you can just do whatever you want to a player. If that was the case, than DPI would be impossible if you're within 5 yards of the goal line.
  22. Yeah... this game just solidified my fears. It always felt like Allen & the rest of the team chokes against weaker opponents, but then that fear was confirmed when I found out how badly the Bills play any time they're favored by double digits. This game just made it more obvious. It's been that way for years now. Allen comes out flat. The team starts forcing things. Then penalties pop up everywhere. Then the inevitable turnover makes things worse. Before you know it, we're trying to climb out of a hole against a team that has no business being on the same field. And all that against a rookie QB & rookie HC. Ouch. At least we kept our 2 game lead on the 2nd seed, but the chorus for "Lamar should be MVP!" will only get louder. Yeah, yeah, I know... some of you guys claim you don't care about MVP, and that the SB is the only goal. But I still care, and it'll be awful if all this year's efforts get brushed aside at the very end.
  23. And yet despite seeing Elam suck for 3 years, we STILL have board members posting "wHy aReN'T wE sEeInG ElAm MoRe?!"
  24. And as usual, when the Bills are double digit favorites, they crap the bed. It always happens.
  25. Just now able to start watching. Was the Allen INT a bad one, or was there another reason for the pick?
