The pre season will provide the answer. Can the guy read, react and make a play. They are on screen the whole time. Who stands out? Whole game which guy pops. That guy moves up or wins. Dodson and Kline are the Mendosa line. Hopefully, Bernard, Spector or Williams can clear it.

I was open to Sean Peyton this past offseason. I feel like Mcdermott calling the plays on defense is not an accident for 2023. I think with a healthy Hyde, Poyer, White, and Miller the defense will be better. I think Kincaid helps fill the role left without Beasley. If Buffalo does not make a Superbowl this year Mcdermott is on a hot seat sort of. By sort of is there a perceived upgrade available for a non football guy? An offensive mind and a Lombardi on there resume. The Rams will miss the playoffs and are a total rebuild. If Buffalo has a similar exit in the playoffs like the last 2 years I offer 2 1s and 3 for Mcvay. A Superbowl appearance its a 2 and a win its 1. F the window win a chip. Down the line you can make trades older guys for more picks.

If he was healthy for the combine or pro day he is long gone before 25. The route running is of a much smaller man.

Decent speed and will make a play when given the chance. Played a good amount for Miami and the year before that San fran. Solid all around player. Offers plus run blocking as well. Can do some of the dirty work Davis was tasked with last year.

Isaiah Simmons might be an answer for the Bills at MLB

No. Because Edmunds was 6-5 does not mean they want another 6-5 lb. Beane has said that someone Tremaines size has limitations. They want to have two or three guys that are interchangeable. I think before October Williams is the mike. -
That is a modern day mike. None of them were starting either.
-
Maybe. Beane is pretty quick to temper expectations for day 2 picks.
-
Curious if they can pull a vet edge as well. For being cash strapped I like what Beane has been able to do this offseason.
-
Agreed. That personnel grouping can make any formation functional. 5 Wide to I formation. Your not going to run much Iso but you get the idea.

Having a chain mover on offense like Kincaid will get Diggs more opportunities. Those few games where the offense couldn't find a rhythm caused the frustration.

Analyzing 10 years of first round TE production
Mat68 replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Last few years Allen has had 572 646 and 566 attempts. Im looking at it from a target perspective instead of catches. Kincaid imo will have better efficacy then Knox and Davis. Beasley kept the offense on schedule and that is what I expect Kincaid to be. By seasons end hopefully we are at a point where Kincaid is getting most targets by someone not named Diggs. -

I understand the utilization question. I expect Kincaid to get the targets that went to the slot. I think Knox can have the same production and role he has had. Maybe a slight uptick if Kincaid is as good as some think. Beane sees him as filling the Cole Beasley role lost last season. That is 100 plus targets. Im not expecting in his rookie year getting that but it will be more than 60 imo. -

How many of those draft picks went to high functioning offenses with top 5 qbs? -
More matchup specific vs just lining up in 11 rotating different guys in the slot. I like the multiplicity and personal groupings that will make defenses make choices. You probably will be able to dictate what defenses will do by subbing in Harris or Hines.
-
He has the ability to be Beasley, Gilliam and Morris at any time. Buffalo has some interesting options at Wr and Rb. Imo Kincaid allows Buffalo to utilize them all in deferent ways. I believe Kincaid gets more than 70 targets this year and next year gets over 100.
-
Buffalo needed to add some size outside. Listening to Beane I believe he was the highest skill player they graded. Beane feels Kincaid will fill the role Beasley left. Based off what people are saying Kincaid could become a target machine very early for Josh.
-
He walked backed the Outside only. He was told to learn both positions. I feel Beane is hoping Bernard wins the mike and plays well. Williams becomes the 3rd linebaker in 4-3 sets and primary backup to both positions. Beane is tempering expectations and allow the guys who have been in the system a chance at Mike. If no one takes it Williams is the next guy to get the shot. 5 years of Edmunds has made the size difference jarring but compared to Devin White, Fred Warner and Shaq Leonard he is about the same size. Williams wingspan is unique to the other elite LB. I like the way he plays and physicality he brings at the point of contact.
-
He is the new offseason and camp favorite. Big and fast. He looks the part. He has a chance to be a solid player. Idk if anything special comes from him but I think he will be a better pro than college player.

Guestimated Bills Draft Board of remaining players as we head toward #137

Id take a flyier on the wr from WV Wheaton. Reminds me of Martavious Bryant -
Last year they let Klien walk and expected a decision between Milano and Edmunds. Buffalo needed a player that would fit their scheme in a meaningful way in 23. Spector was a late rd pick who would be for depth. Now we know no Edmunds. They are planning for that to be Bernard. Spector could help save money by surpassing Matekevich. Right now Williams could pass Klien as the third Backer. If Bernard is not able to perform at Mike Williams could. Moving forward I dont expect Mcdermott to play defense like he has Edmunds and Milano. I could see a move to more what he did in Carolina more multiple. Having 3 linebakers on the field that can run cover and blitz. Williams and Bernard are similar to Shaq Thompson and Thomas Davis in size and speed. With Rapp more 3 saftey looks seems likley as well.
-
Its all eye of the beholder. My point is right now internet Bills mafia is very group think centric. Cover 1 and Joe Marino provide alot of good Bills content. They are also leading the neg reaction to Williams. He isnt on there big boards. Ok other draft pundits love the pick and the player.
-
Ok. At the end of the day they will put the best 2 on the field. They want it to be Milano and Bernard right now. If Bernard doesnt step up I think Williams would be given a chance. I dont expect any GM or proclaim there 3 rd pick is starting day 1. If they do that roster is subpar.
-
What linebaker coming out didnt struggle getting off blocks? He is smaller than Simpson, Sanders, and Campbell but none of them were good in this area. I think they get to a point were the 2 linebakers are interchangeable. If Bernard doesn't become the Mike, Williams will be the next guy given a shot.
