Shakir was a drop from breaking 100 yards in his first start. Most of his targets came in the first half. Not a garbage time stat pile. He is different than Diggs and Davis. Where he fits is he has the same feel like both Diggs and Davis as rookies. He looks like a pro wr already. Is his career going to be him eating in the slot? Yes. Unlike other slot guys Beasley or Mckenzie he is an honest cover outside. Motioning Davis or Diggs inside Shakir has enough to threaten coverage. More multiple and less predictable. I wouldnt go 50/50 slot outside but 60/40 to 70/30 is what I expect and makes the offense immensely more difficult to predict.

I think he has earned more snaps. I wouldn't just give it to him. Not crazy hot though. Mckenzie has a connection with Allen. I believe he has taken Crowders snaps going forward. He is where many have wanted or hoped for when he was drafted and showed in preseason. He is the 4th guy at Wr. Im happy with him anywhere while Davis, Diggs or Mckenzie come out. His growth along with Cook allows the offense to become even more dynamic and grow through the year.

Great news. White coming back in a week or 2 will be a big bump. Last year db was a weakness besides White. With Jackson Elam and Bendord developing added to a heathy White they will be a problem. They can play any coverage or style. I expect they will play Elam, Benford or Jackson based on game plan. Elam and Benford press. Jackson Benford off coverage. Obviously, they mix it up to keep the offense honest. Playing different coverages week to week will foil they not elite qbs or offense. I have Elam as the best press man db on the roster, Benford better at press zone. Jackson is better off the either. Utilizing each guys strengths is way to keep them engaged and benefit the defense overall.

Lets see how they go. I got faith in the the young guys and Johnson. Probably a little more conservative than they would want to be. Benefit of being a deep roster. Bills still favored in Miami.

Terrible new. Hyde is a great player. Appears to be a good dude. Neck injuries are weird. I think Jaquan Johnson steps up. He isnt Hyde but wont be a guy who will make mistakes.

Bills win by 28. Tua is who he is. Game script won week 1. Ravens imploded week 2. Hit Tua in the mouth he folds. 2 deep coverage and make Tua attack small windows. Allen shreds the blitz game over.

Only options is to trade him. I think if you adjust your expectations of him as a player he fits into the offense perfectly. Big bodied guy who is showing to be a plus blocker. He isnt Knox or as good as his draft projection. That said he can make you pay if you leave him alone in coverage. I would go Knox, Howard, Morris and try for Sweeney on PS.

2-4. The Bills are deep. Someone who loses a numbers game they can flip for a pick. He also has got something from lineman who looked shaky at best.

Yes special teams is important. At some point in their careers Jones, Matakevich, Kumerow and Neal flashed at their position and become special team contributors. Not being negative but those are the conversations for the young guys making the team.

Both were single high saftey. The pump fake bit the corner but moved Hyde into position. The arc of the ball and location. Allen threw it further and arrived sooner. Allen puts the same arc on it the db could make a play on the ball. 1 sec is what 2-3 steps?

No Linebakers dont play gunner. Get Benford at gunner so they can move on from Neal.

Now add Buffalo in season wind and have fun fielding a ball that moves multiple times from 60 yards away. He also has shown hang time in camp. The ability to bomb it high or blast it long with be an issue.

This is a big question. Spector or Matykavich? Spector is more athletic and has more natural instincts imo. Is he better than a guy who played special teams only for 6 years? No. Could he be above average? Imo yes. Neal and Jones are big fast guys so they are good at gunner. They really are not natural football players imo. They are athletes who found a niche. I cant justify keeping both. Blackshear still imo can make PS. Bedford and Lewis are worth keeping vs Neal being below average at both positions.

Quinton Morris is better and can play Hback.

Buffalo is facing a cross roads. Cap situation is only getting tighter. Do they take some lumps on teams with young cost controlled players that flash ability to contribute on offense or defense. Or keep the core teams players? Main guys on the list Tiwan Jones, Jake Kumerow, Tyler Matykavic, and Siran Neal. Blackshear/Duke Johnson or Jones? Hodges or Kumerow? Matykavic or Spector? Cam lewis or Siran Neal? Im for keeping the younger cheaper guys. If they flash on teams but try hard im ok with a net neg on special teams while protecting young guys who can play on offense or defense. At this point the veterans I have mentioned have not proved to be positive impacts on offense or defense.

He is going to be a big help. I am blown away by the teams depth and ability to get the best out of players. Say what you will about the backup oline but they held there own early vs the starting Colts Dline.

Melvin Engram destroying Spencer Brown was not ideal. Allen at this point is like a young Big Ben. He won with poor OL. It became a team building problem. Allen is so good he covers up flaws. The Oline is/was a flaw. Quessenberry is a possible starter at LG, RG and RT. Saffold Bates and Brown need to close the door. Do to injury that hasnt happened yet.

And its not really a battle. The list of things Hauck is better than Ariza at is shrinking by the minute.

During the drought years there are all starters. I think Epenesa is a lock. Than Moss than Ford. I expect all three make it. 2 seconds and a third rder are on the bubble. The depth of this roster is scary. The journey man or undrafted guys have to play with their hair on fire to beat these guys out. To make this roster you have to be a player.

Still remember watching Priest Holmes in the 4th quarter of a preseason ripping 20 yard run after 20 yard run for the Ravens. A few years later gets his shot in KC and the rest is history. Fred Jackson was a preseason monster for a few years before he got his shot. Every now and again you see guys make plays who when given a chance on Sundays never look back. Give me some tackle football.
