  1. I'm excited for Allen having Coleman tracking his deep ball. That's 2 TDs with him on the field instead of Foster. Little better line play better pass catchers is all good things. I would like to see Aj 1st Allen 2 and 3. Peterman 4th. I really hope the offensive staff and McDermott dont do what Houston did. Start the vet because he's the vet even though he is less talented. Get a few quarters into the season and go to Allen.
  2. With training camp a few days from closing which QB is the front runner to be the starter week 1? After every report, every rep where is it trending? As conservative as McDermott seems, he wants to win. Daboll wants to win. Allen can make 3 to 4 plays a game that changes momentum and the outcome. Safe money, McCarron but Allen is a live dog, who imo separates the next few weeks.
  3. I dont see Coleman as a slot Wr. I think he lines up outside and stretches the defense vertically. With his speed he can run the go and Moss's stop go for 30 yards. Three Wr sets I think you see Kerley and Mcclud as traditional slots. I expect to see Benjamin lined up and moved around in a similar manner NE uses Gronk in passing situations. In those instances Jones or Streeter line up outside. The addition of Coleman is kind of a unheralded move but really helps define roles and options in the offense. The Wr Corp really isn't that bad. Benjamin, Coleman, Kerley, Jones, Streeter, Mcloud would be my choice.
  4. Those are 2 of the most accurate QBs ever. To expect that is ridiculous. Heck Mayfield doesnt have that expectation. No after seeing him play he is not inaccurate. He is the purest thrower Buffalo may have ever had. If Buffalo can coach him up and get him up to speed with the mental side he could be a franchise qb.
  5. After Thursday night, if you are questioning Allen's accuracy you either didn't watch the game or have blind hatred for Allen. He has the tools be one the purest passers in the league. He made throws that really only Rodgers could complete. I'm not sure if the game is slowed down enough to warrant starting week 1 but when he does look out. Friday night when Allen has Coleman tracking the deep ball instead of Foster the conversation may be mute. Foster pulls in either deep TD the national media is praising Allen as the steal of the draft. The stats looked like he is inaccurate. When really he had a guy give up on a route, and short arm another.
  6. An in shape motivated Kelvin Benjamin is a bad mofo. The money being thrown at Wr is massive. If he gets 1000 yards 10 TDs he could become 1 of the highest paid players. 6-5 250 cant be guarded. I expect Dabol to use him similar to Gronk in the passing attack.
  7. Completely agree. I'm impressed with his ball placement. 1 or 2 throws off the mark looked like miscommunication with the wr on the route. Allen with Benjamin and Coleman is a massive difference from Foster and Proehl.
  8. Foster makes that catch on 3rd and 22 for 6 the game looks totally different. Next week I want to see Corey Coleman with Allen.
  9. The obvious QB play. First teams Im going to watch Edmunds. The rest see If Coleman makes an appearance, see if any Wr 1st or 2nd year can make a move up the roster.
  10. The end of the day you win by scoring more points than the other guy. Peterman is very similar in play to Allen but doesn't have the arm to make the throws he wants to make. McCarron seems like nothing more than a back up. I think Buffalo is better off playing good D, running the ball and Allen making a handful of plays to win. If you are afraid of ints you keep Taylor and cut Peterman. Thursday night will provide a lot of insight. I think Allen is closer than some maybe I'm right maybe I'm wrong. Imo if he is ready it's the best thing for the Bills.
  11. It comes down to Thursday like Beane said last week. Allen gets most likely the entire second half. Does he look like Lamar Jackson in the HOF game or light it up like Deshaun Watson last year. If Allen moves the ball and scores points and doesnt make many mistakes he will be put into the mix to start. They are simply hedging their bets long term on Allen. They don't want to put too much external pressure on him to start now. So if he looks a little shaky than they can bring him along slowly. Everyone in the organization and every fan wants Allen to look good and look like the guy. That happens next week look for Allen to get a day with the starters and see if he can win the job from there on.
  12. Secondary, dline, backs, linebackers, QBs, Wr, oline. The development of Edmunds and Allen determine where those groups fall. The addition of Colman gives wr the upper hand over oline which still has a lot of questions inside.
  13. 2019 FA comes down to the progress of Josh Allen. If he appears to be a franchise Qb Buffalo can add a bunch of weapons. I could see pushes for Bell or OBJ if neither get deals this summer. But all this comes down to where Allen is developmentally.
  14. I'm always optimistic at the start of the season. This year I will only expect Buffalo to win 9 or more games is if Allen wins the job in preseason. If Allen doesn't start I have little faith in the offense. Neither McCarron or Peterman I see winning more games than losing. Allen offers the best potential, the sooner he realizes/ reaches that potential the better the Bill's will be.
  15. Peterman starting week 1 makes me throw up in my mouth.
  16. In most professions you cannot anoint a leader. By making Allen the third QB he will have to out perform the other QBs. They want to see how he does in the game. Is he Lamar Jackson? Or Deshaun Watson last year? Practice is one thing but how do you handle yourself when the intensity is higher? If Allen shines he becomes a real threat and favorite to start sooner rather than later. If he falters they keep the same course and try to improve each week.
  17. This. Add in it's the same defense he has faced all camp. McCarron and or Peterman struggle against a very good Carolina defense. Allen has some chemistry with Foster Proehl, Mcloud, has the best stat sheet and highlight throws. They want a Qb to earn it on the field. I expect Allen to do that and then it becomes difficult to not play the guy with more talent when he is more productive.
  18. Same reason Buffalo got a 4th for Ragland, a 6th for Daures. New regime getting rid of top picks from the previous regime that so far haven't materialized. Never a bad idea taking flyers on first rounders still on their rookie deal. Injuries and poor qb play. At worst he is what Goodwin was, at best he could be Brandin Cooks. When Allen eventually takes over they now have a guy who can run under Allen's moonshots.
  19. We will know more Thursday night. Imo the fix is in. It's being set up for Allen. He is basically getting all the reps with the guys he will play with Thursday. Similar defense that he faces daily. Second half single high safety man or zone not much blitzing. I expect Allen to have the best stat sheet and highlights. That happens he splits first team reps next week.
  20. Coleman has barrels of potential. Since drafted has played with 6 QBs and battled injuries for 2 years. Perfect buy low scenario. Give him a few weeks of learning the playbook before getting him on the field. He has the ability to be Brandin Cooks for us. Benjamin, Coleman, Kerley, Jones is not a bad Wr Corp.
  21. Adds a dimension missing from the offense. Buffalo needed a deep threat. Allen and Coleman could be a great combo.
  22. Flip Lawson for a wr. Coleman or treadwell. Both have under performed based on draft position. Both are the third or fourth options on their teams.
  23. Then why is Peterman getting 1 rep ?
  24. Only a matter of time. At this rate Allen gets the first go in preseason 1 and it is a wrap.
