  1. Buffalo has plenty cap space and loads of picks. The roster will be flipped again this year, and they will get much younger and on Defense more athletic. Beane and Mcdermott will have a near blank canvas to build the roster how they choose.
  2. Watson is better passer from the pocket. Idk how good a qb Jackson will be, bit with the unimaganative offense with Taylor I dont think they would be good fits with Jackson. Idk about Mayfield.
  3. Taylors performance was the worst possible conservative football. The game kept falling further and further away and his demenor stayed the same uninterested way. Obviously, Peterman was terrible in worst possible aggresive way. Taylors performance was worth sitting, thinking Peterman was better was the mistake. Now its game day. Kc went from class of the AFC to a middling team. For Buffalo to win Taylor needs to play great. Like the Miami and Seattle game last year. Those were both loses so who knows.
  4. Right. By pro style I mean I formations 2 Rbs 2 Wrs and Te with a Qb under center. The Defenses are just too quick and sophisticated for that to be a reliable offense. Now it is still important for short yardage and 5 min offense. Overall, the offenses are moving towards 3 pass catchers 1 inline Te and a running back. Offers better versatility to better determine the best match up. Colleges and Chip Kelly had very good theories about offense and tempo. Modern offense is about versatility and match ups. Get guys in one on one situations that favor you is the way to succeed.
  5. I think it is more the caliber of player. Air Raid has been utilized for the most part at smaller schools. If the Qb has the size and arm talent it doesn't matter where you you play or what offense Wentz, Flacco,, Leftwich, Pennigton and this year Mahomes are examples all are not air raid like 2000s Cal or Texas Tech but schools that threw the rock all over . Now look at Keenum similar style offense put up much better numbers probably one of if not the top college Qb of all time numbers wise. He is small by NFL standards and has an ok arm not flashy or special that is why he was drafted late. Can he stay healthy and have the natural talent to succeed in less than optimum postions. Both similar offense one has better numbers but the Players with better Physical traits were drafted higher. Than you have Cal under Tedford who recruited 2 Qbs with decent NFL size and complete cannons for arms. One is Kyle Boller the other is Aaron Rodgers. Mainly Air Raid style of offense production doesn't translate to the NFL they have put up video game type numbers over the years. 10 years ago it was risky. You have to groom the QB to the NFL game and style. Now you really have the best success grooming your offense to the player. Look at KC you dont think Alex smith sees the writing on the wall with the style of offense Kc is using. Similar to college spread and a style that completely matches Mahomes comfort level? Its a passing league, with exotic and fast defenses. The Olines are poor but thier are rules in place that flip the balance to offense. Simplest way to pass. Start your Qb away from the line and spread the defense to limit what they can disguise do. The pro style offense is dying in the pros as well as in college.
  6. Sam Bradford passes a physical can most likely make it though training camp and than who knows what happens. Actualy injury may be the easiest way of shifting to the rookie Qb.
  7. Overall though Buffalo is not a complete dumpster fire. They have played extremely poor 3 weeks now, but the other 7 they have been competent. Buffalo has a lot of draft picks and alot of cap space. An actual franchise ability Qb with some improvements to the roster the team would be a bunch better landing spot than others at the top of the draft. They are not the Browns. A young Qb will have no hope. No matter who.
  8. Doesnt mean it wont happen. Mainly the Vikings are not keeping all 3 next year.
  9. He had the worst Debut and overall Qb performance in the modern Era of NFL pro football. There is no need or should there be a reason he sees the playing field this year outside of an injury. He was not ready. As well as he has practiced and developed he was not ready to face a top NFL pass rush.
  10. They are the same defense they have been. They were not shut down. The last 2 weeks they were given 0 support from the offense. If the offense is compent and moves the ball they will play competitive football.
  11. This was not a more for this year. Benjamin is the number 1 next year. Put as many weapons as possible around the new Qb.
  12. They have are acutally making money in a small market with both franchises. If the mogul who's wife has a liking to the area decides to sell that would send a message that this region is not profitable as a major sports city. They sell the team leaves. That goes for the sabres or Bills
  13. As much as some older guys feel different, Qbs are coming into the NFL better equipped than ever to succeed as a passer. Vast majority of passing plays are done out of the shotgun so spread offenses are not that detrimental. Qbs are throwing the ball more in college and in highschool than ever before. IMO all you need to do is look at Indy and GB. Overall those are 2 of the worst overall teams in the NFL right now. Andrew Luck and Aaron Rodgers have made both of those teams competitive in recent years have even put each into the conference Championship game. Remove them and they are 2 of the worst teams in the league. So I am assuming this is being brought up because a vast majority of people feel that Buffalo needs a bonafide franchise Qb. No more journeyman Qb getting his shot, no more mid rd flyier who unnamed scout x says he is the most pro ready. Already with 5 wins Buffalo does not have a chance of getting the spot to draft the best or even one of the best naturally. Over the last 6 months Buffalo has made numerous trades and have acquired an extra 1 , 2 , 3 and a handful of conditional mid and late rd picks. They already parlayed the extra 3rd for a number 1 wr. Still they have two firsts, two seconds, and a third. To move up the last few years It has required 2 ones and another pick in the top 60 of the draft. Equity wise they have the ability to keep 3 of the 5 top picks this year and give up a pick next year depending on which pick they give up this year besides the one they flip. By having that equity they have the ability to get a bonafide Qb and 2 quality starters this year. Now is the time. Cleveland is the perfect example that the theory of more picks the better is not true. The better the players the better. Bring some direction to this franchise go get this franchise and fan base and Qb we all can get behind.
  14. The team needs a franchise QB. After the trades Buffalo now has plenty of ammo for a QB early in the draft or capspace sign or trade for one. The way the season has devolved by seasons end everyone will know the starting Qb in 2018 is not on tje roster.
  15. Rosen has the most talent. Throws the best ball and hits guys in stride with accuracy. I would pick up Taylor's option and trade up for Rosen. 2 firsts and a 3rd probably does it. I would start with the earliest pick this year and 1 next year with a 3rd this year and see where it goes. Rosen looks to have seperated a good amount from the field. I also would give Indy a call. I would offer a 1st and a 2nd this year for luck. After the owners comments, they could be willing to go in another direction if he falls for Lamar Jackson. There you have it. Looks like both seem to work pretty well. The Falcons moving up for Julio Jones. Imo history shows that if the player becomes who you think they will it works out for the team that got the best player.
  16. This is the reason they made the trades and moves they made. Clear space and add capital. The young foundation on the team was not the style or type of player they wanted to build around. The best players on the team are or were in their 2 or 3 contracts. The 5 picks in the first 3 rounds should help fill that talent hole.
  17. I would look t Marsh. More likely though Marsh will return to Seattle and Freeney release was making room.
  18. With the way the run game has been playing imo if Buffalo's defense can make some stops and get a turnover the KC game will be a toss up. There are starting to get the same big plays out of the running game. They need to start taking advantage of them and scoring Tds. if the team can make a stop and the offense can immediately drive down and score that will go a long way in curing the issues and confidence problem the team has right now.
  19. hahaha. in what Galaxy? This. Both shoulder injuries, both taking time to heal. I absolutely would make the call. Trade 2 first Rds, this years and next. He is the best prospect still. He did a lot with a pretty poor team in Indy.
  20. This narrative is terribly inaccurate. I will concede the first one. Ball placement could have been better and maybe there was too much velocity on the throw to a guy who was targeted maybe 2 other times all year. Yes as a professional and one of the highest paid and more versatile fb in the league you need to make that catch and break a tackle or 2. From that point forward those are all on Nathan. It is on the QB to protect the football. Also, the QB is allowed to move in the pocket. Nothing states he has to stand on the exact spot of his drop. Throwing late over the middle off his back foot may work for Rodgers or another Qb with incredible arrm talent but that is not Peterman and he knows it. Heaving up 2 arm punts, starring down an out vs cover 2 and air mailing a curl points to the quarterback not being ready. Saying its on 10 other guys to make up for poor throws and poor decisions is wrong.
  21. Yes. I believe Dennison will be the fall guy at the end of the year for that and the overall wreck the offense has turned into.
  22. By going back to Taylor he has left no room for error. Just imagine if they lose out on the playoffs by 1 game. He a) needs Taylor and the offense to catch fire and win 4 or 5 of the last 6 or b) the defense just keeps devolving and they lose for 4 or 5 of the last 6. Going to Peterman vs LAC and that being the game keeps them out of the playoffs would be a decision he would not be able to shake the rest of his career.
  23. 1-1 no but easily 2-1 would be Ideal. He has the tools and talent to make the plays but for whatever reason he isnt/ wasnt pulling the trigger.
  24. Only decision. From the outside looking in I believe that the change to Peterman was Dennison's Idea. He couldnt sleep after the NO game. So he is obviously nervous for his job so instead of building a playbook that works for his players he wants to go to his bread and butter not the teams. Peterman would allow him to run Kubiak's offense the last 2 years that Denver has utilized. It made Seimian look pretty good for awhile he can do the same with Peterman and save his job. Taylor gives the Bills the best chance to win. The benefit of having taylor you have an above replacement placement player under center. If someone came along and beat out Taylor the player would need to be the next teir above him. Whoever did the evaluation of Peterman and determined he was the best Qb should be fired. In hindsight I could see the switch as message to the team and to Taylor that the whole team and unit as a player is not good enough. He played poor enough the last to weeks that if we are just going to throw in the towel we will play the rookie. Im leaning towards it started out as Dennison decision and now Mcdermott internally will spin it as a move to try to get move out of Taylor and the offense.
