  1. If Allen opens the season third on the depth chart this would be accurate. Mccarron and Peterman shouldnt be a very long positional battle if Allen is who I think he is. If Allen comes in works hard and picks up the offense I think the rest will be a wrap. They want Allen to prove it to the team he is the guy and earns it. Allen has done that his whole life and expects this to be no differant.
  2. Juat look at the bowl game. 150 3 tds first quarter run, run, pass punt the last 3 quarters.
  3. How to support a young Qb? Good running game, and good defense. Buffalo has plenty of both. In terms of competition the pressure is on Aj Mccarron. He has waited 4 years for this chance at earning a job. Any but a complete beat out goes to the rookie. Mccarron has to win in every area besides natural ability. The best case come TC the table should be set. If by that point Mccarron has not won it the transistion to Allen needs to happen. Long Qb battles never work. The Texans look foolish to string alomg the Savage experiance as long as they did. Preseason game 2 the Qb needs to settled and building for the season. Wentz and Wilson won their jobs in the spring. Hopefully, Allen does to. No fault to Mccarron, but if its a prize fight the longer it goes the worst we are and Allen has the judges in his pocket so the worst Aj is. Mccarron wins the job by knock out and that really it. I dont see that being the case.
  4. Makes sense that Wyoming had a good defense. Allen would get a lead and they would bleed the clock. In terms of numbers and remove efficency ratings. Compare Wentz and Allen overall career stats. In 15 less games in a similar offense Allen threw for 49 less yards and 1 fewer TD. His accuraccy and efficency will be discussed for the rest of his career here. Those that didnt like Taylor because he was risk adverse are going to be talking out of both sides of their mouths come football season. Allen is going to drive the ball down the field. He is going to put up yards, Tds and Ints. His Qb rating and Qbr are going to be less than Taylors was. Unlike, Manuel, Locker and Boller Allen is a natural thrower. The other guys where cluncky mechanics built throwers. Great athletes that do everything your supposed to do but not natural at it. Like a guy who has a bunch of golf training and swing coaches vs a guy with a natural swing. He picks up a ball and throws it its natural. There are some things to clean up to be more consistent but its not a full rebuild from the ground up like they all were.
  5. Crazy story. With player saftey and head trauma the fore front I dont see a team taking on that kind of risk. A concussion hard hit and he is laying on the turf it would be a terrible look.
  6. I think Lamars mother will be the easiest or hardest negotiating with for the Ravens.
  7. Many me included didnt think Dennison did that well last year. Mccoy and Ivory should be enough and productive to create a solid play action game. The defense imo will be much improved and will give the offense better feild position. I think the Oline is average. Not the worst in the NFL and also not the best. A healthy Benjamin going into a contract year should mean he is highly motivated and hopefully in fantastic shape. He can be a number 1 with a massive catch radius. Biggest questions are the other wrs. Will Zay become more effectice year 2 in singular role and position. Who is the slot? Kerley, Reily, Prohel, Mccloud? I expect a pass catcher or 2 brought in. By FA or trade. They need a wr with some speed and the group could be better than expected.
  8. No. Imo Ward is the most overrated player in the draft. Lattimore's success got Ward overdrafted. Hes an athlete not a great corner. White is a better all around player. He is the best defender on the roster. A couple second rounders are not more important than a top 10 corner.
  9. Yes, but like Mayfield will get close 100% guaranteed. Bosa wanted a higher % and upfront. There are things that can be wrote in. I see that going the other way. I expect they will want as much upfront as possible. Offset language and other pitfalls will be added and they will not catch.
  10. Guaranteed money.
  11. Pretty simple vision. Last summer Buffalo had cap issues, were a pretty old roster, no faces of the franchise or leaders under 30. A year later Buffalo cut down the cap so next year they have close to 100 mil available. Quietly Buffalo built one of the best secondaries in football, and now may have a top 10 unit with the addittions to the dline. In one year created a top 10 unit, created 100 mil in cap space (pressumly used to bring in weapons on the offense), and have potentially the 2 faces and leaders of the franchise with Allen and Edmunds. This year they will go through some growing pains but the future is the brighest its ever been in Buffalo.
  12. Could compete for return man. Basically, the same guy as Tawain Jones.
  13. Its never good to just start a young qb because. That is how you ruin a prospect and lose the lockeroom. If McCarron or Petermam are clearly better thats who you start. Now you can go the other way to. Nowhere in this galaxy was Savage better than Watson. Why waste all those reps in TC and preseason on guy you give 2 quarters of football to? Im higher on Allen most. Of all the rookies him and Rosen are the most equipped to start right away imo. Mcarron or Peterman would need to clearly and convincingly out perform Allen. Based off what ive seen that will be a tall order for either.
  14. Kid is going to be special.
  15. Here is the case to start Allen. Exhibit A AJ Mccarron. Exhibit B Nathan Peterman. I dont hate either but I also expect Allen to to look and be so different that it becomes obvious. All three are learning a new offense so he is not far behind in that aspect. Going into training camp and into the preseason I think Allen starts to make the decision for the coaching staff and team.
  16. I would bring him in. More of a vertical threat than clay.
  17. I dont thinl either group is as dire as some make them out to be. Wr can use a guy with who can get deep. I expect this to happen after some more guys are cut or before camp.
  18. Edmunds is going to shrink alot of windows in middle of the field. He is something teams dont see or be able to replicate. A guy that big shouldnt be that fluid and athletic. With star, kyle, and harry in front of him, Edmunds will be all over the field. The defense could become very good very quickly.
  19. If Allen did/does that the sky will be falling. It is the first practice and not a big deal no matter what. Intertested to see how much buzz Allen gets. Its going to bs very difficult for the Bills coaches to keep Allen off the field. After Mccarron and Allen start throwing beside each other everyone there will be seeing a massive difference.
  20. Really going to determine who takes over the Pats. Overall, I like Alles chances to become a better Qb than Darnold. Buffalo has a better team around Allen. The organization finally seems to have a significant amount of security and direction. Daboll should be the OC for a quite a few years. I dont see Bowles lasting much more than a season or two, Danrold will be in a less stable situation.
  21. He wasnt trading up for Nelson. I think the answer is obvious. Allen was the target everywhere from 3 on. The trade was agreed on, only contigent was unless the Broncos guy was there. That guy was Chubb..
  22. Hughes lotuliea williams murphy Alexander edmunds milano Outside of trading Lawson for a LB, i dont see any changes. Humber could take the spot from Alexander if they see him as a special teamer and pass rush specialist.
  23. He will have to play with his hair on fire in the spring and summer. I could see them flipping him for a young Wr in a similar situation on the team they are on. If he does not improve he will be traded for a day 3 pick.
  24. Raw is a vauge term now. Allen played in a pro system closer than any player. What Allen experianced at Wyoming is closer to what he will find in the NFL vs what Mayfield did at Oklahoma.
