Next 2 (or 3) Bills Road games Nationally Televised
Mat68 replied to BITE ME's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
CBS would most likely protect that game as their premiere game of the week. -
This ain't College. The Dolphins with Fitz, the Jets with Darnold are not NW Alabama Tech. Buffalo schedule is shaping up but that happens every year to a team. I have never heard it to the level Buffalo took it this year. The Rams with Mcvay year 1 had an easy schedule. The Pat's have the easiest schedule this year. As Parcells said. You are what your record says you are. 7-3 to 8-3 welcome to Thanksgiving. Buffalo can pull the upset or keep it close in Jerry world hold on cause Buffalo is for real. Buffalo is going to beat 1 of the teams they shouldn't. Dallas, Baltimore, or NE. Buffalo wins 1 or more.

That's great the public is what makes Casino owners Billionaires. They shoulda beat the Vikings. The Bill's are not as good as the Vikinngs ergothe Broncos win. bull#### Qb vs McDermotts defense? Yes please. All day. Buffalo shuts down the run the game is over. New spinoff... Bill's Mafia 24.

3-3 over next six games and we make playoffs

The trick is playing your best after Thanksgiving. Buffalo beats a team or 2 the media isnt expecting, all of a sudden Buffalo isnt just a nice little team with an easy schedule. -
Can the Detractors Now Admit Allen's Growth?
Mat68 replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dont you remember anything with Taylor. Rushing yards and TDs dont matter. Unless, they play for different teams. But, seriously his play has completely changed since NE. It seems he has taken a step in doing what best for the team. It's like Allen just looked across at Brady and realized even GOAT doesnt have carry the team 24/7. -
The offense with Singletary to Gore is much different than Singletary to Yeldon. Yeldon is a much larger threat out of the backfield vs Gore. Yes, Yeldon is not the runner Gore is between the tackles. Yeldon though is much better off tackle than Gore.

Lamar Jackson: I'll Be Having That Crow Pot Pie Now (edited title)
Mat68 replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought Allen and Jackson had the most potential of the QBs in 2018. I think Jackson is a dynamic athlete. The offense the Ravens run is a modern power attack. Overall, I Allen's development the best. He isnt being protected in a gimmicky offense. He is being asked to to take hold of the offense and become a more efficient player. I think he is accomplishing both of those things. This year may not be the gaudy year some wanted but could be the kind of year his career needs. -
Spread em out, get the ball out quickly. Stop the run and make em pass. Buffalo 31-3. Defensive TD. Multiple TO. 8-3.

Adam Gase and the decision to cut Jordan Phillips
Mat68 replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He needs to be resigned. Probably, ASAP. I think Phillips has been the most consistent D lineman all year. I like his attitude he brings to the defense. -
Going to Miami for the first time. Moved to Central FL about 10 years ago and I am getting to go to the game with the guys that took me to all my Bill's games growing up. The end of the day any Bill's Mafia stuff going on Saturday night. Sunday morning where's the best place to tailgate or let's make it happen. I'm coming cooler packed, grill in hand. Squish the Fish, Go Bills

I think McDermott needs to change his formula for success. Imo Daboll takes the heat for McDermott's philosophy. Pass to get the lead, run the ball play good defense to keep it. By doing so the offense loses its sync. Daboll is a NE/Saban guy. Keep doing what your doing til they stop you. Than change. I watch the offense move up and down the feild. Go conservative, need to score. Move up and down the feild again all year.

Taylor was at his peak. He was 25 or 26. Sat behind a Superbowl MVP for 5 years. Allen isnt 23 yet and is similar to the best Qb Buffalo had since Kelly mid way through year 2? No Allen isnt Kelly. If Taylor led 4th quarter comebacks or was tops in the league in Redzone TD efficiency Taylors still the Qb in Buffalo. I get it losing to Cleveland hurt. There is no way you watched the game Sunday and blame Allen for the loss. No way. The offense went conservative, Hauscka missed 2 FGs.
-
Buffalo hasnt had a Qb who could do that vs poor teams or any teams with better defenses for the better part of 20 years. As a second year Qb Allen is doing fine. They lost 2 close games. One game he didnt finish. Against Philly the team just got punched in the mouth and that happens to everyone in the NFL. If anything I think the offense needs to be more aggressive and uptempo. They go stale with Gore up the middle first and second down. Allen for the most part when they need a drive he delivers. Only game he didnt was vs Philly. Supposedly more pro ready QBs are well behind Allen in development.
-
Tyrod was overall a competent NFL qb. He was flawed but overall led the Bill's to its first playoff appearance in 20 years. Difference is Allen is in year 2 Taylor was year 8. Allen has improved nicely from the draft to now. I think Allen still has loads of potential and pegging Allen as a game manager is an attempt as an insult.

Week 11: Bills at Dolphins - Spread: Bills -6.5
Mat68 replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
First time going to Miami. Is there any particular lot that Bill's fans go to vs others? Looking for a fun tailgate. It's been a long time since I've been to a game. -
Devin Singletary nominated for Rookie of the Week
Mat68 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Get him the ball. He adds another dimension to the offense. Has a rare nack for a guy his size to always get an extra yard after contract or looks bottled up. Buffalo seems predictable when Gore is in the game. Inside zone, Trap or power inside the tackles. Gore brings no threat as a pass catcher and imo no burst remaining. At this point Iblike the offense with Yeldon vs Gore. -
The London Chargers? In the AFC East? It could happen
Mat68 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I see Khan blocking any move to the UK. He has way power and money than Spanos imo. The stadium in LA has become a dumpster fire. The cost is double what was expected. The Chargers are falling way short of meeting their original portion let alone the new inflated price. -
Jaguars President - "2020 is a critical year for us."
Mat68 replied to Cynical's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I could see a 50/50 London and Jacksonville split. Jacksonville being the main home base. Have a 4 game home trip in England every year. This was always Khans move. He owns Man U? Or Man City? He was also the main broker behind the NFL only stadium in England. Jacksonville has slowly been transitioning to England since Khan bought it. It's only a matter of time. -
Cole Beasley interview, 2pm-3pm EST, CBS Sports Radio
Mat68 replied to Seasons1992's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What else do you say to someone who asks your 6-2 but havent beat anyone. At some point 6-2 doesnt get you to the Superbowl but last year they were 2-6. That's a pretty big turn around. I dont think they are acting accomplished, just simply rebelling against the narrative that they are over rated.
