They have plenty of money left. Im curious to see if now Buffalo will circle back to one of the bigger names still available. I dont expected but also wouldnt be suprised if they did. With Brady out of New England the beleif in Buffalo must be they are in a prime position to take over the division. Making another bold move could happen.
The offense still needs playmakers. Whether its a wr or rb i think they will have really good value at 54 and a good player.
Claypool, Hamler, Shensult, Reagor are a few wr who could be there.Taylor, Ackers, Dillon are a few backs as well.
Im not sure where it was posted, the reports I saw were that he was going to sign. I dont recall a report or tweet suggesting Buffalo was 1 of x teams negotiating with him.
Correct. I think the scouting department has done great on late picks. No visits, not pro days due to the virus imo alters their belief in knowing guys that could fit. I assume they have a handful of guys but this isnt the year to snag 6 plus day 3 players.
1. No one knows what teams also made offers for Hopkins.
2. What impact player is there at 22?
3. Cost is relative. Having the picks gained from the Bodine and Teller trades greatly eases the cost. The value cart formaula says the value of the picks added up to 18.
4. One of the teams Buffalo outbid for Diggs was New England.
I agree. Beane has shown that he fills every hole in FA and enters the draft full BPA. I dont think they go to the draft with Singeltary Yeldon and Perry as the backs onnthe roster.
At 22 who is the dynamic edge? Who is the bookend OT. The top Wrs will surely be gone, the versitle hybrid defenders will be gone. For a while now I thought 22 was really no mans land. Basiclly, paying rd 1 money for a day 2 player.
This year Buffalo had 2 5th rounders, and 3 6th rounders. After the trade Buffalo still has 7 picks. The 4th round pick is for 2021. The draft is important. Beane out bid 2 other teams for a #1 wr and didnt mortgage the draft to do it.
I felt like at 22 Buffalo misses out on a blue chip prospect. Trading it made sense. Getting a wr to grow with Allen was a big need. Diggs is that. I still think the offense needs more weapons and day 2 has multiple. Whether its Hamler, Claypool, Higgins or a top Rb those are all better picks at 54 not 22.
Buffalo still has 7 picks in the 2020 draft. By getting something for 2 players who were getting cut the Bills could afford to pay a precieved premium. The 4th is 2021 and by then Id suspect moves have been made and that pick is replaced.
Filling the void that Alexander left was a big lowkey need. Klein fits the mold. Steps in as Sam. Give them some flexability with Edmunds in sub packages.
Beane and the Bills in general dont have alot of leaks. Before FAs were not leaked until they were on planes to Buffalo. Buffalo is tight lipped, so if the player or agent dont leak who knows??
