  1. Ball was in the air when contact was made, so that's where the penalty goes for PI. Illegal contact is for when the ball is still in the QB's hands. The call and placement was correct by rule.
  2. Never call me "yawl" again.
  3. It the play in question is the one I remember, it is a valid penalty. Sure, the hit (more of a shove) wasn't hard at all, but it was late and 100% unnecessary. It's not about things being "soft" now, it's about getting players out of the mindset of going for unnecessary/late hits. A lot of these guys have spent their entire football careers getting to act like thugs, and will test the limits of what they can get away with if you don't draw the line and hold them to it. Unfortunately this leads to a lot of "weak" roughing penalties that old school football fans will whine about, but it is necessary. Now I admit some refs take it too far and call penalties on valid hits, but a late shove on a QB seemingly to bully or intimidate them is a penalty. I would rather see them reclassify that play to something like unsportsmanlike conduct rather than roughing the passer.
  4. Yesterday was a super weird situation for me. Team 1- Ten win team the year before with coach of the year candidate. Have their "franchise QB" back from injury. Team 2- First overall draft pick and on 20 game losing streak. Rookie QB playing under hack college coach more known for cheating on his wife than getting wins. Home field advantage lost to neutral site game. Other first round pick out with injury. I bet actual currency on Team 2, and WON. Legit "buy a cheeseburger" moolah in my pocket from being more confident at this point in Team 2.
  5. I had a good day betting already more than doubling my money from the Sunday games with MNF bets already paid for, so I'm going to drop another $20 bet on Bills to win by 20+ paying $85. Maybe even drop a cheeky $10 on winning by 30 paying $170 for kicks and giggles. 35-14 sounds reasonable.
  6. I've already doubled my money on bets today, so anything I win from tonight's game I will roll over into more long shot bets tomorrow night. I'm feeling a bet on winning by 21+. My friend is up like $700 today, including a miracle finish from Dallas who he bet to win by 6 winning him $255.
  7. Eh, for the most part it's no worse healthwise than any burger you'd make at home. Certainly better than a mountain of fried wings and greasy pizza. Service sucks tho.
  8. Bills were undefeated last year when my friend and I got Burger King. Season opener this year we did pizza and wings and lost. Switched back to BK and undefeated again since.
  9. For the record, the Tourettes swearing thing is mostly a myth. I don't recall the exact percentage, but the vast majority of cases is just the muscle spasm thing and not swearing. Also are you implying f-words automatically qualify for "full Tourettes"? Like I say it once or twice through a game, but I have to pick the most extreme poll option? What a weird thread...
  10. I took a peek at a couple Titans forums, and they seem down on their chances in general. The homers who actually believe they will win seem to be basing their opinion on the exact same tired "yeah but they lost to the Steelers and only beat bad teams" nonsense we've been dealing with for weeks.
  11. Plus Moss was out.
  12. Speaking of 11, Josh/Buffalo is 11-0 when passing for 300 yards (vs about 50% win rate league average). This includes 32 passing TDs to 1 INT in those games. It was also 9 fewer completions and 10.9% lower completion percentage than his "worst" 300 yard games. Despite that he scored his second highest passer rating.
  13. (Sees receivers about to catch the ball, thinks quick about Bills players playing games from Squid Game.) "SIMON SAYS OPEN YOUR ARMS WIDE."
  14. KC seemed to forget about Josh's ability to extend plays. On the TD to Knox, the defender only followed him until he assumed Josh would have gotten rid of the ball and then...just...stopped?
  15. After the game my friend looked up airline prices because he's been wanting to take me to a game and you can still for some reason only fly over the border. $1000+ from Hamilton to Buffalo. No thanks.
  16. "Remove the points the Chiefs scored, and we shut them out 38-0." It's just that easy!
  17. My favorite Twitter reaction was the Chiefs Twitter deleting their smack talk post from Thursday immediately after the Bills reminded them of it post game. The one that said "You all remember what happened the last time we played the Bills 😏 #ThrowbackThursday".
  18. In what world was that TD not an illegal shift? They weren't set before the snap.
  19. Might want to watch the replay, Diggs' elbow was pinned to his side by the defender grabbing him.
  20. Labor laws exist in the US too. Shouldn't blow your mind to comprehend how allowing employers to change schedules with no notice could be a problem.
  21. I would not advise using a VPN with gambling sites. They can have fine print that says they can keep your money for falsifying your location and/or address. They can require you to verify your address/location to get a cash out.
  22. Ya that's the other obvious consideration, but I was rushing to get into a bath and didn't bother addressing it heh. Back when I went to regular nerd conventions, I had to constantly remind people on the forums about the unreliability of weather reports. People would pull up the 14 day forecast, and then make their plans for things based on the weather that far in advance. My dad knew people who actually made a quite a good living for a while in the days before widespread internet betting on European soccer, because of broadcast delays. I have no idea who signed off on such a stupid system, but betting time cutoffs were based on when the tape delayed games would broadcast on our side of the pond, rather than the actual time the games were played. Yes, that means you could bet on the games until AFTER the games were over. They would simply call up friends in Europe, get them to check the locally reported final scores of the recently completed games, and rush to the store to buy bets before the games "started" on TV here. They did have to spread their bets around the region to avoid being cut off, but this went on for MONTHS before the powers that be realized how much money they were losing.
  23. I take it you've never done employee scheduling. It's far harder to bump a game up last minute than it is to push it back. There are at minimum hundreds of job shifts that would have to be rescheduled just to accommodate one hour ahead. It's not like a delay where you just pay them another hour because they are already there. On top of the logistical nightmare that would be (keep in mind it is the weekend and people will be hard to get ahold of), there could also be legal issues with last minute rescheduling of shifts. I don't know about KC but here in Ontario you can't just tell people oh BTW your shift tomorrow is changed.
  24. Ya I thought the obvious answer was that we run a heavy rotation, and have been blowing out teams...
