  1. On that 4th down play at the end of the game, I was walking out of the room when I heard the commentator say (paraphrasing) "the defender has just as much of a right to make a play on the ball". That dragged me back into the room screaming "WHAT?!? YOU CAN'T DIVE DIRECTLY THROUGH THE BACK OF THE WR WHILE THE BALL IS EN ROUTE TO MAKE THAT PLAY THOUGH!" Weird thing though was that the commentator sounded dejected and defeated as he said it, as if even he was tired of making excuses for the crap refs.
  2. I'm normally in the camp of "refs were just overall bad for both teams", but this time I can unequivocally say yes the refs cost us that game. Yes, yes, we played poorly, but even so we still win that game if the refs aren't reversing 15 yard penalties and letting the Jags' RT get away with 548 false starts in a 3 point game. It's called "QB being in the clutch" and lack of forward progress. Josh was clearly stopped and not going anywhere, and the defenders were basically holding him up and trying to strip the ball past the point the refs considered the play dead. One of the few plays the refs got right
  3. On the play after Tre got hurt, where the Jags then almost got a wide open TD on 3rd down, he jumped so early that I was out of my seat screaming FALSE START before the ball was even snapped. I wasn't even specifically watching for him, it was just that obvious. But by then I was just so dejected and "done with" the refs that I wasn't even angry anymore. *edit* Probably the weirdest no call was later in a drive where the RT already had an uncalled false start, was the "domino false start". RT jumps, followed by the RG jumping, followed by the center snapping the ball. Just like the other play I mentioned, the RT was a good yard plus off his set point by the time the ball was snapped. I was just numb watching all this.
  4. When it happened, I told my friend I found it highly suspicious how quick they were announce the penalty on the Bills without bothering to confirm it, as if calling penalties on the Bills was their prime directive. Then reversing the initially properly called 15 yard penalty that was on the Jags O to be on our D instead confirmed my suspicions. The Jags also seemed to spend a lot of the game intentionally trying to goad the Bills into penalties, constantly trying to get Bills players to retaliate, flopping, and even their long snapper rocking back and forth trying to get defenders to jump. They knew they likely wouldn't beat us without some help from the refs. That would explain why my late betting line on the game suddenly dropped from a point spread of 15.5 points to 14.
  5. Oh knock this crap off. We are allowed to discuss other aspects of the game as well. The fact of the matter is REGARDLESS OF HOW WE PLAYED, a 3 point game was absolutely affected by horrendous officiating, some of the worst I've ever seen. I don't believe in "not deserving to win", as I'd be just as upset by these refs if both teams played an outstanding classic of a game because the officiating exists outside of the teams' play. 40-37, or 9-6, or anything in between, refs influenced the game.
  6. As bad as we played, we still win that game easily if the refs know what a false start is and what unsportsmanlike conduct isn't.
  7. Found the premature Chicken Little. One drive with absolute ref ball against us and the sky is already falling.
  8. REFFFFF BALLLLLLL At worst, where is the offset?
  9. Blitz 8, with "only" 4 in coverage...(counts on fingers and mumbles)...
  10. WHY IS THIS STILL A THING THE OP JUST WANTS TO ARGUE WITH PEOPLE
  11. Funny, the guy who refused to clarify what he meant by our offense "seems off", now demands explanations for emote reactions.
  12. There's no reason for this thread to continue (not that there was one to start with), OP clearly just wants to argue with people. I and others have repeatedly asked what his point is and he refuses to answer.
  13. If that's not lawyer speak for "my client was responsible for it", I don't know what is.
  14. All you keep harping on is this 25% number and clearly don't care about context. You have still yet to explain what your point is.
  15. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? Until you explain that, all you're doing it meaningless bitching.
  16. What IS your opinion exactly? The closest thing you made to an actual opinion and not just bitching is that the #1 offense seems "off". What are the #s not lying about?
  17. Nothing aside from being a kick, that if it goes through the uprights is worth 3 points, and would technically count as a FG for the record attempt.
  18. Also ask the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. I hope no one I know ever ends up with Ethan as their doctor if he's that dismissive about something he is clearly wrong about.
  19. So you're saying you deny the fact the more you do something = more chances for something to happen? I guess you also claim the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons don't know what they are talking about?
  20. Feet can be overused like any other part of the body. Even if that weren't the case, the more you use something the more chances you have for an accident, so it still actually is.
  21. Even Superman eventually gets tired. While I certainly never celebrate or wish injuries upon players, he couldn't have had the injury before beating us? Just our luck...
  22. Considering they are a divisional rival we play twice and a frequent topic on this board, I can think of a few people. You are a mean drunk in the mornings.
  23. I bet he also has very strong opinions on things like minimum wage and paternity leave. I also bet he also doesn't understand the concept of the correlation between better diagnosing practices and "higher" rates of things.
  24. Las Vegas... Checks out.
