  1. There is plenty to go around, but the Pats and Cowboys could lose every game for the rest of my life, and they still wouldn't be losing enough
  2. Time to follow the model that brought our division rivals 5 rings. They're going all in this year. But prior to that, their rule was to never overpay, and to build quality depth. Better to have 3 guys at 5 million than 1 guy at 15 million.
  3. Pats are only a lock if Brady stays upright.
  4. Agree with this. A month ago, they had to go qb at 10, then WR. Now, they can be less desperate.
  5. We have a clear #1. Holmes and Brown are both legit #3 guys, and Holmes could step in as a 2 in case of injury. And we have plenty of depth/competition for the 4 and 5. Just have to draft a 2.
  6. My gut says we break the drought this year. Resigning Taylor is big, and they have built a lot of depth in the past few weeks. Having a real coach is also good for a few wins.
  7. I'd put Holmes a notch above jag, but agree - I'll be surprised if they don't snag a WR in the 1st 2 rounds. I think they try to trade down to get an extra pick, too.
  8. Might sound crazy, but this is my favorite offseason in a long, long time.
  9. I think we try to trade down now. It really works out for us given how deep the draft is at positions of need.
  10. Great news. Draft a guy in the first couple of rounds and they're set.
  11. Listenee too, and I agree. I love all of the depth signings right now. With the guys you mentioned and a good draft, this team will have all of the talent we need to compete. The X factor is McDermott. If he turns out to be good or even great, this team could be a real dark horse in '17.
  12. Tuttle was the 1st I fought of too. I guess we're dating ourselves. Maybin and Flowers are runners-up though.
  13. It feels like a whole new team this year. Rex was all about Rex. McDermott is all business - almost the antiRex. I like that there are no headlines about the Bills right now. And the way they're handling FA seems smart. No big dollar signings just to sell tickets. Just steady and unspectacular depth building.
  14. Knew that was coming. He needs a job where you can talk all the time and never have to back it up.
  15. I hope NO doesn't trade for Butler. It will make the pats more likely to trade Jimmy. Can't see BB being happy with 1 pick in the first 3 rounds.
  16. You got banned for being the Hope Police. Every time a Bills fan expressed even a small amount of optimism, you'd jump right in to remind them of how inept we've been and how wonderful the Pats are. And there are certainly dominant players. Hightower is very good, but overpaid as of today.
  17. I said he made clutch plays - those are what I was referring to. He isn't what I'd call dominant week in and week out. You got banned on the other board and I hope that happens here. Not sure why you have to come to Bills boards to beat your chest
  18. People are going bananas over the Pats offseason. It looks fine on paper, but it's pretty strange for them. It's what teams like the Fins and Eagles usually do. They do have a 40 year old QB. Not saying they won't be great - but you never know when the wheels are going to fall off. And Hightower is a bit overrated. He has made some clutch plays, but gets hurt a lot and isn't dominant.
  19. I would love it if we could get him cheap. He's still a great player.
  20. I have no doubt at all that there used to be 43 year old Pats fans who said the same thing.
  21. If they don't trade Jimmy, I think that's exactly what Belichick is thinking. He may even be thinking 1 more year. Maybe they're just posturing for a better trade offer, but I'm starting to get pretty worried about JG. I had thought a trade this offseason was inevitable. It actually wouldn't shock me now to see the Pats win another SB, and then see BB trade Brady to some desperate team for a boatload of picks, so that they can get 1 or 2 years out of him & the Pats can load up for another decade.
  22. That's a really good one, though. Sox fans who lived through that had to wait as long as we have.
