  1. Checking around the internet, most NFL fans think that Edmunds will get a boatload of money from a team that has a lot more cap space. For another team, it would be similar to the kind of "big" signing we had during the drought - when we could overpay for a more marquee player, but still had a pretty flawed team. We're not that anymore. The more I think about it, the better I am with spending money where it is more needed.
  2. The sideline yelling at Allen during the Cincy game was the 1st time I related to all of the "warnings" from Vikings fans. I love Diggs, and he changed the culture here as much as anyone. But he needs to be more professional in those situations. Allen wasn't having any of it. And he should be going to the coaches or GM - the plays that he was open, Allen already had a guy in his face and in no way could have found him or passed accurately to him. We need to build the O-line. I actually hope Diggs is the last "big" investment we make in a skill player, in terms of FA or dollars (I'll always be fine using the draft for those positions).
  3. I don't know - if we can get Robinson, then go O-line in the next 2 rounds, that would be pretty cool. No trade-up, though.
  4. We will. He was criticized here quite often - but he was an impactful player. We can't really replace him, but if we get a capable LB in FA or the draft, we'll be okay. Personally, I haven't given up on Bernard yet.
  5. This terrifies me a little. But I still like our chances for the division title & beyond. We would STILL have the best QB in the division, imo.
  6. I've been pretty big on keeping Edmunds - but I'd also be okay if we used that money elsewhere. They can probably get another effective LB for half the price; not as impactful as Edmunds, but we don't necessarily need that if we shore up other areas.
  7. This won't happen - but I do like to think about how the rest of the league's fans would react. They'd be terrified if they saw this headline.
  8. Not judging anyone, because I know other fans feel this way - but I can't relate to it. It sounds like spoiled Pats fans after they won 4-5 of their Super Bowls. I love regular season games, and will love them again this year. I suppose an element of "prove you can do it in January" will be somewhere in the back of my mind, but if we beat KC at KC, or Cincy at Cincy, or both? I'll be ecstatic. Those will be outstanding Sundays (or Mondays).
  9. It's interesting - I actually think the team that won the SB this past year was the weakest of their "dynasty" era. But the stars aligned at the right time for them. Of course, they'll continue to be a force - but I'm more worried about Cincy this coming season, and even a team like the Jets if they get a good QB.
  10. If it's a Herschel Walker kind of deal, where we get 11 picks or something like that, and they throw in Parsons - you'd have to consider it.
  11. R.I.P. I was a HUGE Skynyrd fan growing up. Not as much anymore - but their music still holds up to this day. Great band, and he really did a great job of carrying on their legacy. He always seemed really easygoing in interviews, too. We'll remember you, Gary.
  12. That would for sure be concerning. But that would still be a short-term thing. And he isn't as good as he was. But he'd still make that team very tough for a year or 2.
  13. The division looks a LOT easier if Tua is on another team, the Jets are still trying to figure out their situation, and Mac Jones is still floating passes for the Pats.
  14. Yeah - because we've never seen great & good NFL coaches make mistakes. Just doesn't happen.
  15. If every Bills fan felt sure that we'd win the Super Bowl next year - we would. Conversely, if we're already talking about a 'scapegoat' for failure, we'll create that reality. Quantum science.
  16. We might not be THAT far from a solid O-line. Ike is good, versatile depth. Bates can be that - or even a good starter. We don't need a left tackle - Dawkins is very good, and will start regardless. A lot of our line woes can improve significantly if Brown starts achieving the potential that everyone sees consistently, and we draft a guard in the 1st or 2nd (who pans out).
  17. Glad to see this - he is solid, and versatile.
  18. R.I.P. And kudos to ALL of the heroes who put their lives on the line every day, so the rest of us can live our lives. I'll never take it for granted.
  19. An expectation of "win Super Bowl" is something reserved for entitled & delusional Patriots fans. We're in the mix. After the drought - that's what I want, and that's what I expect. The Bills need a few breaks to turn that into a title.
  20. This is one of the best things I've ever heard.
  21. Good thread, and a good discussion to have. Without a doubt, my worst fear is that offensive line in general is the "it" position group of this draft, and that we see an early run on linemen. So many teams have that as one of their top needs. I know so little about the college game & who the good players are - but I do hope we go for guards in the early rounds. While we're hardly "set" at tackle, I just feel like Brown's best days are ahead. The injury could have really set him back last season.
  22. I was at a high school basketball game. I remember because I ended up winning "most school spirit" at my HS, mainly because of that - every other student was home watching this finale!
  23. I don't think we'll see anything even close to this drastic. I could see maybe 1 trade; my guess would be Oliver, but like a lot of players, I think the Bills decision-makers see him differently than a lot of fans do. He had a few dominant games, and a few where he disappeared, but the talent is there. Almost reminds me of when we had Mario Williams. This was the best team in the league for some stretches of the '22 season. Injuries & emotion caught up w/ the team, and they certainly laid an egg at the end - but it's not like it's a team that needs a huge overhaul. They'll do some restructuring for sure. But I just don't think we'll see a lot of trades to try to accumulate mid to late round picks.
  24. 13 seconds was a botch. And a big one. This year? That team was emotionally drained. I don't think any "the inches we need are all around us" speech gets us out of that.
