  1. I actually think we would have done a lot better last year if Crowder hadn't gotten hurt. It was a small sample size - but he had some 3rd down ability that we lacked the rest of the season.
  2. I tend to go homer on acquisitions. But I think Allen could do for Harty what Brady did for Welker or Edelman. Speed, AND getting good separation? And good hands too? I can see a few deep balls going his way next year. We haven't had someone who can really stretch the field. That's better than any receiving corps we've had since the '90's.
  3. Used to be my favorite Bill. Oh, well. Team Harty now.
  4. We may not have signed as many "impact" players as some of our competition at this point - but we also haven't lost as many players as KC, Cincy & our division foes.
  5. MLB may end up not being one of our stronger positions - but we have capable players on the roster now who can fill it, and will likely bring in competition there via the draft if we don't sign anyone in FA. It's not like a void.
  6. I'm a big fan of his game - a very physical corner, and great depth. Gotta wonder if they're still thinking of transitioning Benford to safety.
  7. It's a contract year, right? I'd love to see him have the kind of breakout year Edmunds had. Then he can go off & test FA. But if we can get Oliver's best (which is really good) for a season, it increases our chances for a title.
  8. I've seen mocks that have Bijan Robinson dropping out of the 1st, which are mystifying. If for any reason he drops to 27, I think we'd have to take him (especially if we don't pick up another RB in FA). Thanks for posting, btw. Great rundown.
  9. I love his effort - but the big problem is that we have 3 of the same kind of back. We do need a "big" back, someone for short yardage & the goal-line. Cook & Hines are great for the rest. Singletary is just the odd man out at this point. They could bring him back and hope that bolstering the line will elevate all 3. But I'd rather have someone who can take the short yardage stuff that JA does for the most part.
  10. He just turned 28 - not over the hill just yet. He's the kind of back we need. All depends on the price.
  11. LOL That's actually about the 4th time I've messed that name up on here.
  12. Mac Jones isn't really as bad as everyone says. He'll never be elite - but he could be a good Alex Jones-type of game manager. They seem to be all in on giving him what he needs to at least try to succeed.
  13. They have more cap than most - it seems like they're mailing it in, quite honestly. Gesicki and Juju are fine additions - but they could have gone a tier above at both positions.
  14. I'd agree they have a better O-line, and some positions are better for them. My observation was more as an overall team. It's close, but I think we're more talented & the better team. They have an elite coach.
  15. Nothing against McDermott, at all - he's a good coach. But the biggest difference between the Chiefs & Bills is coaching. I don't think they're more talented than the Bills.
  16. I was thinking about it - I'll get roasted, but if nothing else happens, I'm pretty okay. Had very small expectations given our cap. We only lost Edmunds, and added speedy receiver & a starting guard. I do expect at least one more move - but if it doesn't happen, this team is still one of the best in the league, and I'll hope that we hit on 3-4 draft picks.
  17. I'm inspired by Pacheco & the Chiefs. Get a RB in the later rounds.
  18. Still pretty young, had a fairly unnoticed "breakout" season in '22, 5 QB sacks & an INT, along with a ton of tackles, fast & versatile, Chargers fans seem to be bummed that he's leaving. Can't say I'm an expert on him, but at first glance, seems like he'd be a good pick up.
  19. Just looked him up - pretty intriguing.
  20. They've gotta change that philosophy, though. I think they know that. I hope they know that.
  21. It's too bad we couldn't get Williams. He would have been such a perfect compliment to Cook, and taken all of the short yardage & goal-line carries out of JA's hands.
  22. Either would likely be a pretty big downgrade from Edmunds. But we might not need someone who is at that level. I'm still intrigued by Bernard & some of his intangibles. I tend to doubt that we'll just roll w/ what we have, but if we don't get someone in FA or early in the draft, it won't make me lose any sleep. There are other areas in need of more attention, imo.
  23. I could definitely talk myself into Thielen - but I'd prefer to get younger. We have a few too many guys who are 30+.
  24. I remember last year thinking that teams like the Broncos & Colts were taking big leaps. You never know how things will pan out.
