Opinions will always vary on that stuff. But personally, I wouldn't trade Allen for Mahomes. I don't think KC fans would trade either. Both guys are suited for their teams, but I think the talent differential is negligible.

There is a lot more to KC's 2 SB's than Mahomes. I'd argue that both Mahomes & Allen have been as good in the playoffs, and also had as much struggle at times. But Reid's coaching and the balanced composition of their team has made a very big difference. And I think McD is good. But he's not as good as Reid, and the Bills team, for the most part, has been very top heavy w/ Allen, Diggs and just a few others. KC has been deeper and better.

My 1st reaction was definitely "huh?" But, as much as I think Harris can be a short yardage back, that's not necessarily his specialty. To have someone for the goal-line and 3rd & 1 (and 4th & 1) would round out that unit well. The Bills are determined to build a real running game. I can't really object to that. Cincy was more physical than the Bills were - there are a few aspects to that, but getting a more physical & reliable run game makes things a lot more equal on that front.

I remember reading that "MMMBop" is actually pretty dark in terms of the lyrics, which is interesting because it's the most upbeat music & melody in history. Kind of about how very little in our life really stands the test of time, and before you know it, it's all over.

Nah; I don't think the bolded is going to happen. Changing DC was the biggest move we could make. The players, for the most part, are not the issue. We have a lot of talent on our defense.

I just had a fairly heated back & forth w/ an opposing fan about Gronk. I really still can't get over the dirty hit on Tre all those years ago. And it has almost nothing to do w/ him being a Patriot & all that. That hit made me legit sick to my stomach. He could have really hurt Tre, and as it is, I think he did cause a concussion (if my memory is right on that). It was the 4th quarter, they were up by 3 scores, and he lost it because White grabbed his jersey a couple of times in coverage. It was just crazy 'roid rage kind of stuff. Now, his national image is the "goofy frat guy," and he's in so many commercials playing that role. I just smh every time I see him. It's one of the dirtiest plays I have seen in the sport. Do you feel that way (just asking anyone), or am I being too tough on him for that?

I'd agree. But that Miami game was kind of an oddball. We did go up 17-0 and were rolling, but it's a game were we were almost undone by fairly uncharacteristic turnovers. Those are part of the game - but I hardly felt like Miami matched us in effort or overall play. They got some good breaks & took advantage of them.

Beane likes to zag when the media zigs. So who knows. I'm up for anything. I trust Beane - his drafting has been solid, if not spectacular. I keep thinking LB in the 1st, though. We lost Edmunds, have marginal players who MAY pan out at MLB on the roster, and the 1st round is a place where you can get an impact player at that position.

I believe in the multiverse, and that every possibility exists in some alternate universe. But I don't think there is a universe where this is happening.

I was around 10 I think. I couldn't even go into a swimming pool after that. In a way, that's the one that stuck w/ me for life. I'll swim in the ocean - but I'm always checking around.

Forgot about Blair Witch. We've had so many "found footage" since then, it's easy to forget how groundbreaking (and scary) that one was when it came out.

Saw the other horror thread and it got me thinking about this. What's the scariest movie you've seen? Context is always part of a discussion like this. "Nightmare on Elm Street" scared me in a big way, but I was more of a kid. I don't think it would be scary to me today. It's close, but "It Follows" is probably it for me now. I'd also add "Hereditary" and "The Vigil" as movies that had me looking over my shoulder.

It does hurt. Our teams in both of the last 2 seasons were good enough to win it all. Missed opportunities, but the stars also need to align. Just having a top team isn't enough. I would not have picked either the Rams or KC as champs in the last 2 seasons, but they both got hot at the right time, and both had a bit of luck along the way. KC had years where they should have been more likely to win a ring - but 1 year, a guy was 6 inches Offside, and another, Mahomes just lost his game for about a quarter. This past year, they got very fortunate calls in both the AFCCG and SB to be able to get over the top. I feel like the Bills haven't gotten ANY breaks along the way yet. The luck has largely gone against us.

We were a great team, who circumstances caught up w/ and derailed. We were just blowing teams away in the 1st couple of months, and clicking on all cylinders. But man, so much happened over the course of the season. Every team has adversity, but it hit a limit. And we just had a flat day against Cincy. I think largely because of the things that had happened later in the season, but I get that opinions vary on that. I don't buy the narrative that we're just some regular season team. We have had very mixed results in the playoffs, but it's not like they haven't shown up for other playoff games.

I feel like the AFC East is getting a ton of hype as the most competitive division now (and I've kind of seen it that way too). But if the Jets get Rodgers, they'll give up enough to sacrifice a lot of future potential for a good year or 2. Miami is a bit dubious anyway - not sure on McDaniel, and Tua's health could be an issue, along w/ this announcement from Hill. And how much longer will Belichick coach for the Pats? I've got a feeling that the Bills will be kings of this division for many years.

It's also fun to go in the other direction - where "the board" (and by that, I would mean most posters), thought that we got the "wrong Josh." I wouldn't want the board to be GM.

I actually like all 3 of those guys. I'm surprised some want to move on from Brown, after what happened w/ Teller. He gets one more season where he hopefully isn't dealing w/ an injury situation. Gabe Davis also had his own injury issues - and he has stepped up in both the 2021 and 2022 playoffs (his drop against Cincy notwithstanding). I'm also surprised how eager some fans are to move on from him. He's got the talent, and I'm going to bet when Allen has better protection, he'll excel. Oliver is the only player there that I'd be ready to move on from. But again - he has the talent, and in a contract year, I think it's a good gamble to keep him on the team and starting. He could have an Edmunds type of breakout year.

My dream of the Patriots turning into a clown franchise for many years is progressing nicely. Really, the best part is how unprepared that fanbase is for stuff like this.

I'd trade a 2030 7th rounder to see if he could fit in as a 3rd stringer.

I just saw something on that! They were saying something about how it might be more of a donut shape, so it just goes around & around (so, we could travel all of those billions of miles and end up where we started). Or something like that. A good 80% of it flew comfortably above my head.

Loved how he played last year. He & just about everyone were even better when Miller was in the line-up. I really think that w/ McD calling plays, our D can be a true #1, and totally fierce.
