  1. Pats nation is full of themselves again, unfortunately. The online discourse on some of the general boards is comical. Man, that didn't take long - or much. The entitlement w/ that group is really something to behold.
  2. Call me in denial, but I'm a "jury is still out" guy. I thought the Browns might give them their 1st tough test (I don't count the Hochuli game), but the Browns O was absolutely abysmal today, and lost the TOP battle badly, as well as the turnover battle. They'll have a better record this year than they will next year.
  3. We're literally getting 3 new additions to the defense tomorrow - and I'm going to guess another by the trade deadline. They've looked bad, but they've also been pretty banged up. We don't need them to be a top 5 or top 10 D. We need them to be top 15, and I think that's a possibility if Hairston can shine as a rookie and Hoecht is the guy I think he'll be.
  4. If not for the Hochuli ref crew and Rousseau being Offside, we're likely undefeated and not worried about tomorrow at all. I think the team comes out tomorrow and reminds us that they're still kings of the division and a legit SB contender.
  5. We just got twice as fast in the secondary.
  6. Wouldn't it be awesome if Beane really hit it out of the park on this one, and Hairston turns out to be a top-tier shutdown kind of CB? Still a possibility.
  7. Hmmmmm. Seems people are forgetting that Rapp was kinda good for us last year.
  8. I think our personnel is better than they're playing - on both sides. Why don't we have actual coordinators? It's something I'll never really understand.
  9. Really hoping to be back in 1st place by Sunday night. The Pats hype this week has been unreal. "Rebuild complete! Maye is top 3! They're baaaack!!!" Cripes. They beat us in a refball game, and beat the Saints & Titans.
  10. I mean, can't he just watch what other teams do and copy it? I'm definitely not an expert - but it definitely seems like our offense is simple, unimaginative, and easy to defend.
  11. I really respect how they've turned it around. I watched some of that Pats blowout against them - they didn't look like an NFL team. Absolutely bumbling. Since then, they've been really solid. That said - if we can't beat them w/ Dalton at QB, after a bye, we've got no business talking about SB aspirations. I expect this to be a comfortable win.
  12. I was kind of hoping that we'd trade up for Brian Thomas in that draft, but McConkey wasn't really on the radar as a 1st rounder. Still, everything is easy in hindsight. The draft really is a crapshoot, even when you pick in the top 10.
  13. The Bijan play? Some of the best players in league history have had plays like that when a top RB is at full speed.
  14. I think Hoecht will add quite a bit to our run defense, so hopefully not many runs will get to the 2nd level. The Panthers passing O is pretty mid.
  15. Even in his pressers, he just seems weary. There is probably some frustration about the team & some of our weaknesses than he isn't expressing vocally. I know I'm speculating, but the body language just isn't good right now.
  16. I think Bishop is really progressing & will be very good for us by season's end. But otherwise, agreed.
  17. Can't wait for that game. So tired of the Pats hype already. I have zero worries about that team sweeping us. The bye won't make a difference.
  18. Ugh. I was hoping some of the limited guys would move to "full." If we don't have Samuel, Palmer or Kincaid - it seems a little odd that we weren't more aggressive about adding a WR during the bye. Hopefully they know something we don't, and either Samuel or Kincaid or both are playing on Sunday.
  19. All true - but it was probably LaFleur & Smith more than Vrabel. They really got the most out of Tannehill. McDaniels is pretty good too, though.
  20. Bills 33 Panthers 16 I respect what Carolina has done, but we're good off the bye, and I think the offense rights the ship this weekend and gets back into 30+ territory.
  21. The emergence of the Pats as a solid team could be good for us. I feel like every one of these mid-season games is crucial now - and I'm sure the team does too. Could help sharpen this team for a better run in the playoffs.
  22. Having a very clear, very obvious need and not addressing it - when he can. Because Cooper didn't work out doesn't mean someone like Meyers wouldn't.
  23. Not making a trade for even a Meyers-level WR would be kind of a shocking disconnect from the sentiments of the fanbase and almost all of the national sports media. It would be arrogance, imo.
  24. Will McDermott still be coaching the Bills next year? "We'll see."
