  1. Bills 38 Chiefs 17 Yep. I went there.
  2. I might want this win more than I've ever wanted any win over any team in any sport. I'll say the same next week if we win - but this is such a biggie. KC is that nemesis, that obstacle that we keep banging our heads against. To beat them Sunday would be such an amazing feeling.
  3. I can't help but think that even that one move (which was of course necessary w/ the injuries) cost us the game last year. You could see it on a few plays where the coverage was just terrible. Nothing against Klein, but he clearly was slower than his best days and definitely slower than the guy he was filling in for.
  4. There isn't a QB who consistently has put the "team on his back" more than Josh Allen. The Ravens game was such an exception to that rule. It was a rare game where we had true complementary football and a lot of players contributed to the outcome, without needing Allen to put on the cape.
  5. Isn't Bishop faster than Cam? Might be better considering KC has Worthy & Brown. Regardless, I'm sure the coaches will make a better decision than we can.
  6. I'm right at 50/50 on this weekend. Obviously, this is a tough game. The #1 seed/defending champs, going to their place, overcoming some psychology related to our 0-3 record in the playoffs against them. I think the teams are pretty even, and it will probably come down to getting a break or 2 for whichever team wins. If we win this weekend, I think we win it all. The NFC teams just don't scare me.
  7. Felt like Lamar could have taken 10 more seconds on that play. No one was getting close. It's the old saying - the prevent D prevents winning. We got lucky w/ that 2-pointer. We should have been more aggressive before that.
  8. Man, is that detached from reality.
  9. People also forget how banged up that WR group was. Beasley had a broken leg. Diggs had an oblique. Davis & Brown had knee and ankle injuries, respectively. Combine that w/ the refs allowing a lot of contact, and they really didn't have much of a chance.
  10. Man, Allen is great w/ the media. He always says all the right things, but without it sounding insincere like some other guys do. He never even provides a word that an opposing team could use for motivation.
  11. It seems obvious to over-cover Kelce - and I scream that at teams every time I watch them play KC - but I'm also worried about their speed guys, Brown & Worthy. They can really stretch the field.
  12. I have been a fan of Clark in the past - but he was SO OVER THE TOP after the playoff loss last year about Allen. I lost a lot of respect. I'm sure that doesn't bother him, but I usually change the channels when he's on now.
  13. The psychology of this game is so intense. Facing this team for a 4th time in the playoffs in this era, having lost the previous 3. That's a hurdle to overcome mentally. As with everything, there is a negative, and a positive. The positive is that at a certain point, you just draw a line and say "no more." Like George McFly w/ Biff. I feel like that as a fan. Enough already. Let's get it done this time. I'd guess this team feels the same way.
  14. We can definitely open it up more, and I'd expect us to this weekend - but man, do I wish we had a true speed guy who could really stretch the field once in awhile.
  15. Whenever he gets a catch - he has the look of a guy w/ an elite skillset. He always seems to get those few extra yards that a lot of guys can't get. I still have hope. As we know - some of Beane's picks can take time to really emerge.
  16. Terrible call - but by the end of the game, I felt like things came close to evening out. We got a few soft ones (nothing phantom like that holding call - but I can't complain about the refs when that was the ONLY call against us the whole game).
  17. I remember their players smiling and waving goodbye to Bills fans after the Bass miss last year. Can't say that I blame them - I'm sure they heard it from the fans in the front rows all game. But man, do I want to see the reverse of that in KC this year. We're overdue for a road playoff win.
  18. The O-line is our strongest unit (RB's are close). I feel like I have to go back to the '90s for a line that was at their level. They need to have a great game, but I have a lot of faith that they will.
  19. I've seen that drop a few dozen times at this point. It's definitely not as easy a catch as it looked like at first. He was falling backwards, and people really aren't taking the cold into account. That was extreme cold, and the ball can be like a rock in those circumstances. He should have still caught it - but mistakes happen, these guys are all human beings. Fans should have to write "it's just a game" on a blackboard 100x. The reaction to these situations can get so unnecessarily toxic.
  20. Fans are sick of every dynasty. I'm pretty certain most Chiefs fans felt about New England exactly how everyone feels about them. And how we've all felt about teams like the Cowboys, Steelers, Niners, Warriors, Lakers, et al. Personally, I usually appreciate dynasties a lot more when they're over. I even have much more respect for what the Pats did now than I ever would have imagined.
  21. For sure - I think we'll see a whole different gameplan. I think they open it up a lot more; Allen will have 30+ passing attempts and I'd guess a few more designed runs.
  22. The Chiefs are to us like the Patriots were to Manning's Colts, or the Pistons were to Jordan's Bulls. Narratives were established that one team just couldn't get past the other - until they did. We have an excellent chance to flip the script on Sunday. This KC team is not as dominant as KC teams from the past. They're not better than the Bills - they have homefield, but they don't have any significant advantage in talent. I feel confident that McDermott will have a gameplan for the ages on this one, and that we finally prevail.
  23. I'm with the OP. The divisional round was such a hurdle. Making the final 4 is an incredible accomplishment this season. And no, that doesn't mean I'm happy to just be here. But if it does end, we took a big step forward this season, and should be even stronger next season.
