  1. I would pick shady as well, I’m playing him over Peterson.
  2. Oh I have zero doubt they’re going to add some talent to the roster, it’s just a little early to speculate on the talent available for me.
  3. I agree with this, and I would doubt we see any of those guys the OP mentioned. I don’t hate the list I just don’t think they’ll be targets. Let’s not forget it is October right? How many injuries from now until end of season (possibly deal breakers for the players mentioned) and there will be a ton more cap casualties when the season ends. The upcoming free agent class looks pretty sad overall and weak, but once cuts are done for teams already to the cap I expect a lot more talent to jump into that free agent pool. I can never get too amped up over this stuff so early in the season.
  4. While I was shocked they snuck in last year, even with considerable improvement from the offense this is not a playoff team right now. There’s no real weapon you’re gonna add at this point and I personally think the tandem of ivory and Murphy can have almost the same effect as shady and ivory. Get what ya can for the guy, fleece the eagles and move on. This is all about the youth movement and development keeping McCoy around just to cut him when the team is built is pointless. Let’s see what Murphy has before next season and let McCoy have a shot at a playoff run and primetime games.
  5. Lol I think you nailed it there. regardless who plays quarterback Hopkins will get a ton of targets and even with white trying to shadow him dude is too good not to make some sort of impact
  6. Send me Alshon Jeffrey and we got a deal. Often injured or not he’s about the only one I’d take from philly for McCoy. I wouldn’t take a pick for him unless it’s a 1st. Obviously they won’t drop a first rounder or Jeffrey but that’s the only way I’m shipping shady off this year. Impact player or pick in return or no deal
  7. Never thought I’d say this this year, but with how our defense has looked at times it might be in Houston’s best interest to give Watson the week off. It’s season over for them if he has a punctured lung and Trent Murphy or Edmonds crushes him
  8. Yeah the trick to me is how they start the game. When allen hits a couple easier passes and gets his confidence and rhythm going he seems to have much more success. When he’s getting hit and missing his throws it gets pretty ugly. I guess the same can be said for most quarterbacks but I believe it’s on Daboll to make sure he’s starting out hot
  9. Lol silly.. Rookie development this year. Get used to the young guys making some boneheaded plays
  10. I could be wrong but I don’t think they can even offer a contract until his rookie deal is over.
  11. The people freaking out last week and calling for firings all the time are just short sighted. This is a developmental season plain and simple. Toss these young guys out there and let them play and see what you got at the end of the year. The “holes” we see now may not be holes next year. There’s something to be said about coaching and developing your young talent. We all know the first round picks are expected to be elite one day, but we forget about developing mccloud and other draft picks, young free agents brought over. If these guys continue to get better and better the “hole” we complain about now isn’t so important next year. Gotta get through the growing pains this year, they have a plan and no matter how much we question it they are sticking to it. They wanted a fresh salary cap to work with, and a young core of talent to build with. After this season they have all that. What they do with it is the true test if they stay in buffalo and have success long term.
  12. Toss Fitz in and I’m sold. I’ll gladly rent Fitz the rest of the season for a draft pick
  13. The McCoy trade, signing zac brown, the obvious Hughes trade. Preston brown was a good draft pick and also Darby.. Not sure if we blame EJ on him, but same year woods, goodwin, Hopkins, Alonso, all starters on their teams now Signing incognito, manny Lawson, nickel roby (udfa) No matter how you spin it, the guy made bold moves. We know of the misses but seriously how can you not say he went out and built good rosters? If you pair decent quarterback play with those teams they are playoffs easily. Kyle friggen Orton almost had them in the playoffs. Let’s not forget he built rosters for 2 coaches with complete different schemes. Went through a weird transition of a new owner. I totally get the negatives about him, but the guy made moves and acquired talent. As for not having a GM job right now, most guys take time off after being let go, and resurface later. And I’m not sure what his current job is but it wasn’t a crap job maybe he makes decent money at that and has more free time. to call the guy a bad gm or garbage is silly. Nobody succeeds without a hit on a quarterback. That was his failure. But many fail there’s only so many franchise quarterbacks around to acquire
  14. Lol well maybe I missed all the lousy trades and free agent signings, cause he hit major home runs on a lot of those. The drafts were questionable I’ll give ya that
  15. Whaley will have another shot as GM one day. Minus the quarterback he built a very nice roster here. And made some very successful free agent signings and trades. I forget what he’s working now but it wasn’t a bad job at all
  16. It is waaaaay to early to do this. Could be a ton more cap casualties who jump in as starters etc etc.. But I guess good job? Receiver with 1st and 2nd round picks won’t happen but i appreciate the enthusiasm
  17. To a certain extent I agree, I kinda felt he proved that last year. With that said they do need SOME talent to go with that culture. And I really hope they still plan on having some strategy and game planning lol
  18. Cincinnati I don’t think is realistic at all. Have you ever watched their back up tight ends play in that system? Those guys can ball. And as others stated nobody is gonna want clay and his deteriorating knees on their team with that contract.
  19. Clearly they do not know there is an offenSe on the team. Fire them all. I nominate you to run the team and build the best offence in the league
  20. This is never going to end is it? Andy Reid is a great offensive coach, always has been. We have defensive coaches. Have for a long time. Mahomes is running an innovative offense with extreme amounts of motions and 4 legit weapons that have to be accounted for each and every play. Its shooting fish in a barrel for Mahomes someone is always open. I’m in no way saying he’s a bad quarterback prospect cause he can make plays. But damn it’s been a few games, he hasn’t won jack sh** yet. Hasn’t been in pressure situations or playoff caliber games yet. Lets see what he does when there are some injuries, some bad weather, etc etc.. Freaking out and demanding firings cause KC has been a juggernaut is completely dumb. They are known for looking elite for the first half of the season. Alex Smith looked like a top tier quarterback the first few games last year. Just calm yourself, develop some patience. And enjoy the show. You are either a buffalo fan and ride this out or you’re not. The over reaction on here after a bad or good game is bi polar to say the least. There is no true way to debate or judge this for at minimum two more years.
  21. It was a little weird seeing Thomas driven out on the cardinal sideline and all their players patting him on the shoulder, then him flipping off his team.. definitely a sight
  22. Dareus is also a strike away from being suspended the whole year. Are you saying you’d rather have the lazy 100 million dollar player here the next few years hanging out with our young talent influencing their work habits and play on the field? Being short sighted I guess Dareus would of been worth keeping. Long term they absolutely made the right move getting that giant contact off the books.
  23. I don’t agree with that. He needs touches, he has always been a back to take negative runs and dance in the backfield. He’s only effective if he’s touching the ball 20+ times and gets a shot to break a few runs. The rest of the plays he generally has me yelling at the tv “just run straight and get the two yards”
  24. So much hate on Star, what did you think we were getting? He’s not Aaron Donald.. Hes a mid tier defensive tackle who has been on a decline in his time in Carolina. He’s not old but he is what he is at this point. Free agents are expensive, period. I am sure lots of players don’t actually want to play for buffalo, and especially this past off season given the state of the roster, so you over pay to get these guys signed up quickly. Star and Murphy and probably even ivory were all paid higher than market value because the bills wanted to make sure those key positions were signed as possible starters for this season. Star was/is never going to be the difference maker in this defense. He will never have much impact on the game or stat sheet. But he’s a veteran who knows the defense and stays relatively healthy. Teams sign and cut overpriced free agents all the time. Stop judging the roster so much this season, it’s a progression and development season for the young guys. Next year when they spend the free agent money and draft picks and assemble the roster they want bash away. Next years team should be much closer to the final product this front office wants to put on the field. Next offseason and season is when to truly judge this front office
