  1. Why? Cause you don’t think so? Cause national media writers don’t think so? They haven’t played a game this year, haven’t played the season out. How can you judge, or grade the team assembled without them even playing? After trades etc etc last season most thought they were bottom of the league. So how can you say the product isn’t good?
  2. More and more I feel like actual bills fans don’t comment much lol.. seems like the majority are bills haters.. ohhh I don’t like this guy.. how is he a captain? He should be cut not a captain.. making fun of peterman 24/7 about ints.. If y’all are so smart about football and what SHOULD happen maybe it’s time for a career change and get your rear in the nfl and show us how it’s done
  3. Barring injury I see almost no scenario where peterman gets benched during game one. Maybe he can sit the 4th quarter out when we’re up 38-7 ??? I just don’t see them doing the QB shuffle all year unless there’s injuries. Nate is the starter, Allen is supposed to be learning. If Nate is not performing well maybe they throw Allen some more practice reps with the 1’s and try him out starting. I think Nate is gonna have to play super awful to get benched during the first half of the season
  4. I’m excited.. Maybe a little less than prior seasons to a certain extent, I think many of our “fans” on this board are selling this team short. I get the expectation of a losing season considering the talent level. However I fully expect the team to compete and be in every game and have a chance to win. I’m sure we may get blown out in some games but that’s the same for any team mostly. my only expectation is to see constant improvement in all facets of the game from them. No regression from the young core
  5. If forced I’d choose Milano.. But Alyssa Milano
  6. Not defending Lynch but I think Denver has shown they’re not very good at developing quarterback talent the last 15 years or so. (Not that buffalo is any better at it lol)
  7. Never hurts to get to meet the guy and see where his head is at, and see if he’s willing to accept coaching. He’s ideal for what they need. Someone who can’t threaten to take the starting job yet, has PS eligibility and is young enough to still learn
  8. We need some sort of IQ test for starting threads on here. Or just only let a select few start new ones. So much jibberish added all the time that’s already being discussed in a more popular thread. Sorry OP not singling you out just a messy first page and I’m grumpy today
  9. I predicted James hardy to have a 15 touchdown pro bowl season.. also thought with schwartz mckelvin turned the corner to be an elite corner. probably my favorite would be I expected ko Simpson would be our starting free safety for 5+ years
  10. Well it sounds like your mind is made up. so enjoy the season. Rather he’s good or bad this year just not in my DNA to root against bills players and search for all the negatives and predict the future.
  11. Well to be fair, he hasn’t played a regular season game this year, in a new offense Daboll brought over. Nobody is saying he’s the next TB12 or anything here. Gotta think the coaches know/see what you’re talking about and have a plan.
  12. I’m no qb guru, but last year to this preseason he has the look of a totally different qb in my opinion. He’s decisive and gets the ball out, knows where it’s going. I think probably the best part is he’s in and out of the huddle super fast. Plenty of time to get to the line and get a read of the defense and make adjustments. Can’t say that translates to regular season yet but he did have a real command of the offense in preseason
  13. I have no problems cheering for Nate. I think I cheer for him more just cause we have sooooo many people bashing the 5 int game. There are a LOT of quarterbacks who would of performed that bad with joey bosa in their face every throw. I think it says something he kept getting up after getting crushed and worked hard and legit won the job this year. His odds were tiny to beat out AJ and Allen but he looked great and performed to his strengths. He doesn’t have a cannon but I also think too many people are underestimating his arm strength. I for one am excited for this first time in a very very long time the bills have a quarterback who can throw to an open spot where the receiver should be, as opposed to waiting for the receiver to get open. Sadly that may lead to some picks if our receivers don’t get out of their breaks fast enough or know the correct route they’re running. Cause if there’s one thing I have faith in from Nate it’s that he knows this playbook and knows where his guys are supposed to be. I still want Allen to win the job at some point, and be a top 10 quarterback in this league. But im always a sucker for rooting for the underdogs. I’d love to see Nate show up week one against the “elite” Ravens D and drop 22-28 for 260 yards and 3 td’s. I would even be happy with 15-25 for 185 yards 2td’s and 2 ints if we get the win lol
  14. I would expect Hughes, Clay, and probably shady all gone next year. Also not sure I would expect just cause they have the money to spend it. Meaning they’ll be shopping for value over big names. Star seems to be taking a lot of heat here since the day the numbers came out for his contract, I think it’s a little uncalled for. Ignore the PFF ranks and watch the guy play. He is exactly what this defense needed, someone in the middle to take up space and occupy two blockers. His numbers will always suck but his job is to make the rest of the line have an easier time rushing the qb and give the linebackers an open lane to get to the ball carrier. He almost doesn’t even have to try to do that, his size and strength alone does it. If you’re looking for 50+ tackles and 8 sacks a year from him you’ll never see it. But you’ll get those kinda numbers from the guys playing around him simply cause he’s in there. There’s not many guys who can bring that to the table in my opinion. Certainly wasn’t in this free agent class. And to top that off, everyone gets really fat bad contracts in free agency. That’s basically the whole point is to overpay and outbid everyone else.
  15. It all depends.. Maybe they scouted him, or considered him around draft time. maybe they have an eye on someone else still. Hard to judge yet but it is a little odd.
  16. Well I guess we should hope for some development on those young guys.. I am for sure rooting for some interior line and pass rush help before receivers. Lol I guess it would help if they named the starting quarterback. That might determine how big of a need it might be
  17. But cant Kerley, McCloud or Foster burn some? I would consider them a deep threat if Allen was playing quarterback that game
  18. I think they’re set on big trades and draft capital for next year. Don’t see any reason they need to add anymore, he has ammo to move around the draft board and a butt load of cash to spend. No reason he HAS to add more picks this season
  19. Not sure the fascination over adding receivers. This isn’t a passing team. We’re not the saints or pats throwing 40-50 times a game. We are a run the ball control the clock kinda offense. There won’t even be enough targets for the guys we have most games unless we’re getting blown out. You don’t even need the “speed” receiver to stretch the field, cause a good running team uses playaction and anyone can get open deep multiple times a game. With Allen’s arm you only need a step. You want upgrades then watch for pass rush, maybe linebacker depth, and of course interior line help
  20. I kinda get the sense people want to run this guy out of town already without even being close to the finished product. lets keep in mind a lot of posters on here thought the team was a dumpster fire last year. Lot of Poyer who threads, and great we signed Hyde the guy who was always hurt and not very good on the Packers defense.. Lot of depth questions and we have no talent at certain positions posts. And let’s not forget the constant barrage of terrible trade posts. Those trades while questionable were just fine. We got something for Watkins who we didn’t want, got one year rental players and draft picks for dropping some guys they didn’t feel they needed or wanted to win or could win with. This regime feels they can get the best out of players with strong work ethic and intelligence. They may not be a powerhouse this year but I expect them to be competitive in most if not all games and they set things up beautifully for next year.
  21. I don’t have high hopes. I expect the entire season rests on McCoy’s shoulders. Our only shot of any kind of real success is running the ball effectively and controlling the clock. Keeping the defense fresh as possible and in attack mode. As one of both of the quarterbacks progresses and gets better. Truly a bipolar season coming in my opinion. We can be as good as 11-5 with a healthy roster and the above mentioned formula. Or as bad as 3-13 with injuries and not following that formula above. I can’t believe this coach/roster is just gonna sh*t the bed and give up and be the worst team in the league. But I can see and agree for those who see this as maybe a losing season
  22. I really liked O’Leary.. He doesn’t jump out or stand out but just seemed to be a solid gamer. Made plays when asked to and seemed clutch when he was on the field. I’m sad to see him go I enjoyed rooting for him
  23. We are a running team.. I don’t see any kind of need to sign a receiver who has bounced around the league for years now. He may have led the Bears last year, but someone had to get targets they had nothing. Were not a throw it 40+ times a game team we will be just fine with KB, Clay, Jones, Kerley and shady catching passes for this offense. If we’re losing big and have to throw a lot someone like wright isn’t gonna be a difference maker for that game. Johnson may have a little left in the tank, but I’d also expect him to be ring chasing
