  1. There’s zero reason to cut him, it’s not like they need the money off the books regardless of dead cap hit. Shadys # doesn’t help or hurt signing free agents. Having him here however may attract some as he is pretty well liked and respected in the league. I would like to see his role reduced next year, but I think he can still be effective in the 12-18 touch range. Very few running backs who are an actual threat to take it to the house anywhere on the field
  2. The biggest dud of the year is this wasn’t the scenario week 1. Anderson should of been in camp in preseason. The worst mistake was not having a capable experienced backup around before week 1. We can all agree Anderson isn’t all that great. However Allen needed someone who knows how to prepare nfl style. Not sure we all get how much prep goes into a game. From walkthrough to practice to film to travel accommodations etc etc... That’s a lot to take in as a rookie let alone a first round quarterback with the weight of a responsibility to lead this dumpster fire of a team (since Kelly retired) With that said, I am more than happy with the 3 guys on the roster.. And feeling more and more comfortable that out of the 5 quarterbacks drafted ours looks like the only one capable of reaching “elite” status. The other 4 have tools, Mayfield looks the best right now, my opinion this is his ceiling though. Allen has been the most exciting to watch by far and has made a few throws that only maybe 2-3 other guys can make. Lot of work to reach a finished product but what he’s shown so far says he’s got a serious chance to reach that potential people seen.
  3. For the money he wants, and taking a year off it would be a hard pass for me. Don’t see any reason why buffalo needs him. Shadys dancing for 2 yard losses is getting annoying and ivory looks much better as far as just get the 3 yards. I would rather run ivory Murphy and maybe a Tarik Cohen kinda receiving rookie next year than waste 15+ million on bell. He’s a me first player, and while I agree Pittsburgh did him kinda dirty I’m just not a big fan of what he brings.
  4. I am not a fan of all the unnecessary hits he’s taking running, with that said it’s nice he’s making teams gameplan for his running game cause in the future that is going to open a whole new game passing for him. On the elite throws/plays he’s making it looks like he has the potential to be a top 5/10 quarterback in this league which I think we can all agree we would be more than pleased with. With that said he does look very raw and I think Barkley showed us the way Daboll wants the gameplan to run where as Allen shows us what pure talent and athleticism can do. I feel like some others once the all 22 is out we will see he misses a lot of reads and open receivers. Which is to be expected. I was skeptical of all the quarterbacks drafted, and even if I’m flamed for it I actually think Mayfield is already at peak level. I don’t think he gets any better than what he is, and that’s a serviceable maybe top 20 kinda quarterback. Allen has the potential to be elite in this league on an Aaron Rodgers level, and I am very encouraged by his progression so far. Don’t care who it is, but next year I want to see him with a go to guy... A Julio Jones type you can throw to no matter what and he’ll make a play for you, give him that and I think we will see a giant leap forward next season. He may not get rookie of the year, but other than Barkley on the giants there’s zero doubt Allen is the most exciting rookie in the league to watch play
  5. He would earn a little props in my eyes if he went to the media outlets and said he was wrong the kids a baller etc etc.. Just don’t see him owning up to it. Feel like this might be the week he finally turns on his offense and puts the stamp on his ticket out of town in the offseason.
  6. I still expect him to run his mouth about Allen this week
  7. He was impressive today. Sure he ducked one into the ground on an easy screen, but he LEAD his team to a victory. And with some of the recent progressions of the TEAM I am not sure it’s the worst supporting cast in the league any longer. Today was not a good game as far as the offense playing disciplined football. But there are enough weapons out there now to make plays. Its nice to get excited for the win, but let’s see if this can string together and get better. Today means nothing if next week he’s a deer in headlights and melts down or misses the couple big plays he made today. It’s all about getting better every week. The one thing I give him credit for, he is a leader of men. This group does seem to rally around him.
  8. Happy with what Allen has showed today. Regardless of the outcome. Now can it translate into future games. Very impressive game for him. Hopefully he can close the game out as well
  9. I like seeing the passion from Lawson, especially since he’s been so much more improved this year.. Better be careful with that tunnel action though.. don’t want him suspended
  10. I’m happy to have deonte back, but he won’t be here long dropping gimmes like that
  11. Looking super weak in the middle on defense. These backs aren’t fast, gotta adjust ASAP
  12. That’s the difference between Allen and the other first rounders this year.. In my opinion the others can’t make those kinda plays. Maybe on a broken scramble play for mayfield, but not in the pocket under heavy pressure
  13. Daboll can run a nice offense when the players can actually execute formations, shifts and line up for the correct plays. Impressive game so far
  14. That was excellent punt coverage, but Allen has to make that throw on 3rd. Zay had the step and separation, gotta lead your guy there
  15. I’m excited for Allen’s return. I’m glad it’s against the jags, and glad their defense played pretty lights out most of last week. Time to step up and be the franchise guy. No excuses. For me anyways this game is very telling for his future. Zero reason he shouldn’t show progression from what we seen earlier this year. More than half a season in, been studying behind other quarterbacks for weeks. If he’s the guy I expect him to lead this team to a victory.
  16. Probably easier to be more jolly when you know you’re getting fired cause your team resigned Blake friggen Bortles and no way you’re gonna win in back to back years with that dude. If he’s smart he will be on hands and knees begging them to draft or sign him another quarterback for next year
  17. I’d bet he stays.. For the simple fact they don’t exactly need the money. Keeping him doesn’t hinder signing anyone else, he is a vet and nobody else really has any experience. With that said it would be very disappointing if they don’t add some more talent to the position to pair with him and whoever else they keep
  18. I found that to be incredibly funny and well written. Sometimes I forget other fans actually have it worse than bills fans. I can 100% agree on everything that guy was mad about
  19. I was a really big fan of his, and Limas Sweed. I was bummed to see them both flame out of the league. But Hardy’s story is for sure a sad one. Regardless it sucks to see young people fall so hard, and of course to leave the earth so early on
  20. In my opinion no way it’s a playoff team. Tyrod has regressed horribly the more he plays. He only gets worse. He has been trending down for what 3 years? Every season here his game went farther and farther downhill. One could argue he’s worse than our current 3 quarterbacks. Sure he can scramble a couple first downs for you every game. And he will take care of the ball. The majority of our losses were blowouts, are we in those games if the offense doesn’t throw picks? Is Tyrod bringing us back down 10? Down 20? We seen enough to know the answer is no. He is gonna 3 and out non stop. He is going to ignore portions of the field. More than likely make one read and run. First year here I thought Taylor was gonna be a star, man that guy threw the most gorgeous 50 yard bombs I may have ever seen. Just dropped them in there like it was nothing. Yet after that first season he couldn’t do it anymore. He couldn’t do anything. I feel like he was coached terribly into this scared little shell of himself. He took ball security more seriously than any other aspect of the game. And that ruined his whole game and probably his career
  21. I’d be nervous about Pittsburgh.. Jags have owned them. I mean Pitts should blow them out, but after last year that matchup scares me. Me personally I’m taking the saints all day long. If I was forced for something else I’m taking the Texans over Washington. Redskins are just a fluke to me. (also I generally suck at picking games lol)
