I hate seeing race being used, especially in the national media’s kind of coverage. But if this situation happened in reverse I could only imagine the 24/7 coverage on it.

The Jets have more “names” these guys recognize. You hear Darnold, Bell, Mosley, etc etc and say yeah they’re way better than buffalo. We don’t have “names” we have a team.

Definitely going to be tons of stipulations in that contract. KC has to be smart enough to give themselves an easy out at any time, right?

This guy is just a mess. He should probably retire. He needs time away from the cameras and twitters of the world. He’s destroying everything he worked so hard to build about his name and game. Another hard working lower round drafted receiver on his way to the hall of fame, what a great success story, and then it all derailed because his head got so big he thought he was bigger than the game

I mean if I’m being 100% honest here, whaleys teams talent wise compared to the team we have right this second isn’t much different. Could possibly even argue whaleys teams were constructed better depending on what philosophy you like best. Obviously we all know EJ was not a starting caliber quarterback but rewind and if EJ hits as a top 15 stat quarterback in this league those teams are riding into the playoffs. People can blast Whaley all day over trades and drafts and cap etc etc but that guy built a helluva team, his downfall was and always will be he couldn’t find a starting caliber quarterback. Had he found one, those teams were built to compete. Fast forward to present day and I like what Beane has done, young team with a lot of promise, but his downfall can be the same fate as Whaley if Allen doesn’t pan out to be a franchise top 15 kinda guy. Back to the OP and yeah 100% shady was the last of the national spotlight star power on this team, but I’m all for building your own stars, not buying them from other teams. Couple guys who can change that though. Tre, Oliver, Knox or Sweeney, singletary and of course Allen all have a decent shot to be national stars in this game. Tight ends are so hit and miss but our young guys have some potential and the way the league is going tight end is a positional mismatch no defense can quite stop yet. Leaves the door open to put up great numbers. Hypothetical situation but if Knox somehow made the most of playing time and had a 60 catch season with 10+ tds and he’d be a fantasy football sleeper dream. And that would actually propel him into the national media stage. I like Shadys ghost if we’re doing a poll

I’m glad to see Feliciano out there and also next to ford. I think we’re going to see a nasty run blocking line especially with Sweeney out there sometimes.

Happy to see him with a different number. Now if we can have one of Clinton Portis’ better seasons out of him I’ll be even more tickled

I went with 8-8, I think we’re going to see some fun, but frustrating football as this team learns how to close out games. I expect a lot of WTF plays from Allen good and bad. My biggest fear is seeing the inconsistencies like last year and years prior where we get some momentum, have some penalties and kill it, and the 3 and outs. Hoping for more this year. Another year of the penalties and inconsistent passing and 3 and outs will make me lose what little hair I have left. I think we’ll lose a couple “gimme” games with teams we should beat simply because some of our best players are still learning to win games at this level

How thin the group is? Or is it young players actually get better with in game experience? The kid has talent, he’s not going to be a top 50 receiver in the league or anything but he certainly can make some plays

I could see the panthers finding him a gadget kinda role there. He has some value

I just was a modern offense that’s consistent. I would love to see some 300 yard games that go along with a win. Love to see a dominant third down rushing team that can just overpower defenses.

I wouldn’t question it. He’s just a change of pace for KC, for now. Carlos Hyde just washed out there and he’s younger than shady. Just cause he signs doesn’t mean he’ll have success.

Smart move joining KC

After last year they played all the kids to see who could stick I expected the team to stay pretty young. It’s been mentioned in a lot of places beanes plan etc etc. last year was development and eating the cap, this year the team learns how to win games (we’ll be so angry when they can’t close some of these) but it’s a year for Allen to grow and gel with his new weapons and learn how to win close games and dominate in others. Let’s hope for a playoff run. Next season is when they can swing for homeruns in free agency or trades and chase the “superstar” players and if we’re lucky have a legit super bowl contender.

So carry 3 active quarterbacks every week? Or cut Barkley for him? Not sure how/why he fits here.

I don’t know the numbers but it seems it could be difficult to find 32 who have practice squad availability. I’m sure there is 32 but I would guess most of us never heard a lot of them

Quarterback might be tough, lots of teams need backups not 3rs string. Seattle doesn’t even have a backup. Tyree might be about it with practice squad availability. I’m hoping duke gets a deal back
