its a good point. I think Beane and McDermott both get it that Buffalo can be a hard sell to FAs, especially diva prone positions like WR, but generally once a player is here they like it, trades may be best option to pick up an immediate impact WR/lineman etc. We need players on O that can step in right away not develop for a year like young WRs from draft often need. Stock up on vets in FA/Trades, build depth on D and O in draft.

Coaches get a 3 year minimum from me. Next year is the evaluation year for McDermott, he doesn't get a freebie from me next year. I need at least 8 wins and big signs of growth for him to be here for a 4th.

O line is priority in FA because if you want to play to Allen strengths you need to give him as much time as possible to let the vertical routes develop so he can throw downfield

To all completion % snobs. JA has no rb, TE, slot receiver to throw screens and dump offs too and the line is not athletic enough for screens. These throws pad comp % JA pushes the ball down the field. He will have high yards per attempt / YPC numbers but lower comp % Thats fine with me especially for the time being... As time goes on and our line is better and can actually block for screens and we get more players that can be a safety valve for JA his numbers will go up. That coupled with better receivers/tight end that can catch more reliably. But low 60 high 50 % may be the ceiling for his type of down field attack game...

JA will never have high comp % maybe high 50s low 60s at best because he will always want to push the ball down field
