  1. Wow! Kudos for the brilliant pun.
  2. Where have you heard that Whaley is "determined" to find a franchise QB in this years draft? I think he's a fine GM but even if he was as much of a knucklehead as a vocal minority around here thinks, I believe he has brains enough to see there isn't a franchise QB, or even a ready-to-start QB, in this draft. Nor has he said a single thing that indicates he's desperate seeking one. You're worrying about fantasies and phantasms. As to what a bunch of lazy draft pundits think he's going to do, who cares? By and large, these are guys who haven't got a clue what's going on with the Bills year to year, they just tune in once a year, take a cursory look at the roster and contracts without regard to whatever else the front office may be doing and pull it out of their keesters.
  3. Please, Oh Lord, let the off season end. Amen.
  4. I think this is very do-able and even likely. Restructure the bonus $ over 3 or more years and in return, add more $ to the total package. That would help the Bills right now and put more money in TT's pocket
  5. I would like to announce that I too am staying home for the NFL draft.
  6. Assessed valuation is for tax purpose not the real world value.
  7. Signing Foles, McCown, Hoyer et al would be a clear indication the Bills aren't interested in winning now as none of them are an improvement over TT. And while they would somewhat reduce the cap hit, it would still be fairly substantial in the post Osweiler world. For the Bills, it's "Rock, meet Hard Place."
  8. Any current NFL QB the Bills could sign is going to heavily impact the cap (I'm thinking current desperate fan faves Romo and Cutler) so the only way to lessen that is to cut TT and draft a QB. To me, that would be nuts. The only way that is remotely possible is if ownership, management and coaching are in agreement to live with a 2 to 4 win season in hopes of maybe getting Darnold. And maybe that is the plan. But if it's not, if they want to win now, then they take a deep breath and pick up TT's option.
  9. A small point: Unless you are The Pegs, you're not giving TT a raise so why do you care? They just pissed away $25 mil on Wrecks w/o batting an eye in hopes of improving the team. If they think TT gives them the best shot for success right now, I doubt what it costs them will be an obstacle. They will find a way to make it work.
  10. I have argued that the Bills "dysfunction" rap is wrong, that what we're seeing is the end of that era. But if the Bills drop TT, bring in Romo or Cutler, or use the #10 pick on a QB,I will have to admit the nay sayers were correct and I was totally wrong. I might even elevate the org to the fabled level of "dumpster fire."
  11. The chickens are coming home to roost. Brack brack.
  12. Around here, there is a certain school of thought that you should draft a QB every year so to those who think that way, Whaley did the right thing. Or it might mean he doesn't think there's a QB in the draft worth a high pick.
  13. Couldn't let that one pass...the guy got less than 50% of those who actually got off their dead azzes and voted. So, No, "dude" isn't insulting over half the country, not even close. Meanwhile, the Prez constantly insults the intelligence of all the citizens.
  14. This excellent post should just be cut and pasted on every thread where the trolls call for cutting Tyrod.
  15. Go back and look at the stats on Lynch inside the 5 for starters.
  16. Fantastic piece. I sent it out on my mailing lists. Thanks for posting it.
  17. The difference is, if you are into analytics, Carroll made the correct call. A slightly off pass or route -- hard to say which -- and a superb defensive play and, voila!, the Pats receive another gift from Satan.
  18. Total, complete collapse. Up by 25 points with 8/12 minutes left in the 3rd quarter, up by 16 points with what, 6 minutes left? I have never seen such an epic fail in my life in a championship game.
  19. Blessings for your child and prayers for you and your family.
  20. I have done extensive research on this topic and I strongly agree with you.
  21. Or draft his gazookie nephew.
  22. What a lot of work you put in. I'm very impressed. I've watched every one of them as well but with nothing of the attention to detail you have. While I can sort of see why you placed the draft positions on four of them, I must say I really don't get the amount of love Trubisky gets from so many who analyze these guys. If I personally had to pick a project QB, I would go with, say, Davis Webb, who I've also watched a bunch and who seems miles ahead of Ol' Mitch.
  23. Who cares?
