  1. I am asking this question primarily because I see a GAPING hole at CB right now. Plus though we all hope Tredavious White will be back and ready to play in prime form in September... you've gotta be prepared if he's not. That leaves our #1 and #2 CB position in question. Even if we went out and got Joe Haden right now, I think we're still in dire straights at CB. I won't be upset with WR or even Breece Hall in the 1st... but I'd be shocked unless something happens...
  2. Set? There's more than a month before the draft... how are they set? You saying Beane is now unable to make a trade?
  3. I hope you're right. But as of this moment, that's a gaping hole.
  4. Don't we pretty much have to draft a CB in the first couple rounds if not in round 1? Seems that's a pretty gaping hole for us right now.
  5. When? Is the OP proposing we draft him in the 1st? Right now Hall is projected mid to late 2nd round. I think the projected actual pick is about 62. If we can get him at 57 and he gives us 4 years where he turns into Jonathan Taylor (who was a 2nd round pick), what's the problem? I think based on the fact that Singletary is now going into the final year of his rookie deal this year, Moss SUCKED last season, and we were screwed over by Mckissic, we pretty much have to draft an RB in the first 3 rounds. From what I've read about and seen of Hall... I like him as our target. CB in round 1. Hall in round 2. Sounds good to me.
  6. How about both? Honestly this team at this point only has 2 glaring holes... well... maybe 3: CB2, WR depth (that might be your answer), and RB We have 9 picks in this draft, right? Are there 9 spots for rookies on this roster? Heck, are there even 5 or 6? I want to see Beane target 2 or 3 players (CB, WR, RB) and trade up to get them when he feels he should. Truthfully in terms of NEED I think the order goes CB then RB then WR. But I will be happy with those 3 in any order in our first 3 rounds. I forgot we also need to draft a QB if we don't get one in FA... so there's that.
  7. It's also a lot easier now. Now BOTH the AFC West and North will be wars of attrition where teams will be lucky to go 4-2 in their division, whereas 4-2 for Buffalo in the AFC East next season would be incredibly disappointing. This combined with the fact that Buffalo plays arguably the worst division in the NFC next year in the North and the path to the #1 seed for Buffalo is right there.
  8. Really is sad. He was such a staple of football coverage for so long.
  9. Rather than having to read through all these pages, what's happening with Baker? Is he part of the trade? Does he go to Houston?
  10. Think it's pretty awesome that he said to McDermott he's watched every Bills game since he's left Buffalo. Hope he can get back to that disruptive form.
  11. Started to think we might actually keep him, but this really became inevitable once we granted him permission to seek a trade.
  12. I know we all have mixed feelings about PFF, but watching this made me feel good
  13. I have some mixed feelings about this, to be honest. I was absolutely stoked on the one hand about getting a future HOFer on our DL to put some pressure on QBs. On the other hand (and I realize this sounds insane), I would've just rather resigned Hughes for another 2 or 3 years at a price $5 million less per year so we could go out and get a couple other potential pieces like a #2 CB and an RB I haven't watched enough of him lately, but is Miller still a force on his own? I thought Hughes was a really good player for us and a team leader. His stats might not have always reflected it but he was really good for us last year. I am relieved this isn't actually what I thought it was. It's really a 3 year, $52.5 million contract. But my honest initial reaction when I saw 6 year, $120 million for a 33 year old (in just over a week) was NOT excitement.
  14. Didn't feel like starting a thread on its own... but we all heard people saying "Buffalo is a FA destination now," yet we just had an RB choose Washington over us and Chandler Jones choose the Raiders over us. I know McKissic wasn't outbid for... he just chose Washington over Buffalo. No clue what we were offering Jones. Buffalo is clearly the better team, but was this Buffalo vs Las Vegas? I'm not freaking out because we still have Josh Allen and outside of an edge rusher we now need to replace Hughes, a #2 CB and an RB, we don't have any glaring needs. Does anyone have an update on our CAP room with the latest Hyde restructure? I feel like Buffalo has some money to spend. Is Beane trying to pull off some kinda big trade? Is he waiting for the 1st wave of FA to see if guys like Hughes are coming back? Not freaking out, but I really did think we'd be more active, and I am honestly pretty surprised at McKissic's latest choice of Washington over Buffalo. Anyone else?
  15. I'm starting to wonder if we're keeping Beas. I think we should still draft J Williams if he falls to us in the 1st, regardless.
  16. True hometown discount. Woulda earned more on the open market. Was happy when it was 8 mil because we know the player he is. Completely stoked now.
  17. Regardless... I honestly think he could be an integral part of our offense the next couple years (and beyond since he wants to be here?) in this offense.
  18. Sounds like we got a hometown discount You're reading way too much into it
  19. Walter Payton nominee for Buffalo. Great person. That's just way too much for the player. Hope he earns it. Good luck!
  20. With all due respect, insulting a poster who views this as a bad move brings your football knowledge into question. McKenzie was really the ONLY all purpose weapon Buffalo has had on the team for the last few years. Citing his stats is fine n dandy except we all know stats lie... especially when they're comprehensive season stats for a player who was given such a limited role this season. If you watched McKenzie play over the now 4 years he's been in Buffalo you'd see a player worth the money. At worst we've got our #4 WR & KR/PR. At best we might have a replacement for Cole and more of an all-purpose replacement who could even potentially be thrown in at RB every once in awhile. WIN!!!
  21. This is awesome. I think if McKenzie is actually utilized in an offense consistently he can basically be a poor man's Tyreek Hill. And anyone criticizing me saying that's a good thing... look at the other WRs in our WR corps ahead of him vs the other WRs in KC's WR corps.. For some reason Daboll stopped using him this year until the 2nd half of the season. Loved what we did with him in 2020 with all the motions and jet sweeps. I hope Stevenson figures out the return position so we can save McKenzie for the offense.
