Actually, I thought he was better than I expected. I might have had a low bar though.

You heard the part of Buffalo needing a new stadium a few years ago, right? Ya think a team extending a 17 year playoff drought to 20+ and beyond with a mediocre QB is getting the public backing for funding? Nice name
-
Josh Allen is literally the greatest thing to happen to Buffalo. He ensured the team will never leave. The new stadium truly should have his name on it. For that reason alone, Bills fans should never complain. Regardless, all these reports are ridiculous. Jordan Palmer works with Josh every offseason and always raves about how hard he works and how badly he wants a Lombardi.

2023 Bills Practice Squad Complete
transplantbillsfan replied to ngbills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Holy crap! I think we might have the best roster in the NFL when you combine roster and practice squad! I can't believe we pulled Ingram back to the PS. That along with Isabella, Kirksey and Ankou as our vet PS players along with all the young potential we pulled in like Ateman, Shavers and Kline and I'm stoked! -
Does anyone know the exact terms of the trade? When they're announced can the OP please post them so we don't have to sift through 25 pages of crap that complain about a guy being moved who was never going to contribute to this team this year, anyway?

As a Bills fan of the NFL, what keeps your fandom?
transplantbillsfan replied to Milanos Milano's topic in The Stadium Wall
You left out "it's in my blood." For the record, I have watched every single Bills game rooting for them, including that terrible 2010 team. -
Horrifying. The local news has been consumed by this and you just can't take yourself away from each individual horror story. Gonna end up being the worst fire in American history. Shouldn't happen in modern times. We're super dry in the state generally, though. Wednesday I drove next to a brush fire on Wednesday in Wahiawa that burned 450 acres. Today I heard there was another brush fire on Old Farrington Road between where I live and where my in-laws live. @GoBills808 I'm glad you and your farm are okay. Big Island so frequently gets hit hard... glad you were spared of this. Need the rainy season

I really don't mean to make a joke about this because my sister is bipolar, but I truly thought this was going to be a thread about the main page and all Bills fans after preseason game #2.

I did the same. Watched a replay 24 hours after the game but read the comments first. People are stupid. Kincaid is going to be a stud. Might as well try to lock Davis up long term already. Allen will still be one of the 3 best QBs in the NFL this year. 3 biggest takeaways from this game.
-
What are your top TWO takeaways from the Bills-Steelers game?
transplantbillsfan replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
Josh Allen is still amazing. Dalton Kincaid is going to be amazing. -
Well that was an absolute crap fest - PostGame thread
transplantbillsfan replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ya know I watched this game a day late after reading all these sky is falling threads. Allen, Diggs, Davis, Kincaid, Torrence looked good. Our D will be fine. Need OT depth... but might be fine with what we have. Got blown out after 2 bad plays and a ton of uncharacteristic penalties. Bring on the regular season, please. -
Good Night / Bad Night - Pre-season game 2
transplantbillsfan replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wait... is Pooona Ford #98???? Are you sure you meant to say he had a bad night? -
Isn't he 900 years old?

Why is that? Everyone is going nuts over Gabe's camp. Sherfield by all reports has also been really good. If I had my choice, I would sign Gabe to a long term deal right now somewhere in the $10-$15m range. I bet his agent is seeking north of that, though. I know you enjoy trolling me, which is fine. That said, Sherfield isn't a scrub. Harty isn't a scrub. And dare I bring up the fact that Isabella has been impressing a lot of people in camp... and not just as a KR/PR...? Keep Gabe if we can. But Gabe isn't one of the irreplaceable pieces of this offense.
-
Yes, 100%. I'm in one of 2 boats: 1) Sign him to an extension NOW!!!! He is only going to get more expensive. Keep in mind it's not just about how he plays this year, it's also about the WR market. The WR market seems to be trending up, so even if he has another year resembling last year, I think he's going to be looking at a contract north of $15m per year next offseason. If we lock him up now, we could potentially get him for less. OR 2) Trade him for assets that will help us to draft a true #1B WR opposite Diggs in next year's draft. Everyone knows I started a thread about this that seems unpopular, but from all reports in camp, it looks like we'll have more weapons than we had last year even without Davis. And with the shift in our offense to more 12 personnel with Kincaid and Knox and how both are looking in camp, I don't know that putting Sherfield opposite Diggs with Knox, Kincaid and Cook as our other weapons is that huge a downgrade. Plus we'd have plenty of draft capital for cost-controlled, inexpensive talent. And yes, I realize some are pointing out the compensatory pick thing, but that also requires that you let some of your other UFAs walk and you don't sign as many as you let walk. It requires you basically sit on your hands and choose not to upgrade your team or maintain what you have in order to acquire a 3rd or 4th round draft pick.

Brown practiced. Why is this still a thing? -
Is Gabe Davis a trade candidate?
transplantbillsfan replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
You seem like a sad, angry person. Maybe you're resentful of something in your life, but to make these 2 completely empty, meaningless posts on the same page of the same thread within just a few hours of each other really isn't a good look. Now... it's Saturday night. If you're drunk, it's understandable -
Is Gabe Davis a trade candidate?
transplantbillsfan replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Harty wasn't a flier for Beane. He's guaranteed, making this team as a contributing WR and we didn't give him a $10m contract to be a returner. -

C'mon now... this is such a troll post... even for you, which is saying something. I've had waaaaaaaaayyyyyy worse takes than this -
Is Gabe Davis a trade candidate?
transplantbillsfan replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
The comp pick thing is a valid point, but a lot of other factors would come into play with that, including how many FAs we sign/lose. You're presenting this as though if we let him sign with another team we'll automatically be given a 3rd or 4th round comp pick. We're still in wait and see mode regarding the 3rd round comp pick we'll supposedly get for Edmunds. -
Is Gabe Davis a trade candidate?
transplantbillsfan replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
To those wondering if it's all ADOT to blame for Gabe's low catch %, watch this beginning at about 7:20. Going all the way back to UCF Gabe was 50%-60% in terms of catch % on passes below 10 yards. -
Is Gabe Davis a trade candidate?
transplantbillsfan replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Joe Marino covered this in one of his Locked On Bills podcasts this week and went all the way back to Gabe's college days. That issue of relatively low catch rate is still prevalent in the short to intermediate range as well. -
Is Gabe Davis a trade candidate?
transplantbillsfan replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
If Gabe isn't an ideal #2 I would assume you would be against resigning him, right? His new contract is likely going to pay him at least like a high-tier #2 WR in the NFL, if not a low-tier #1. Is the rest of our WR corps really a bunch of JAGs? Is Gabe really that much better an option as WR than Sherfield/Harty/Shakir? And if he is, is one year of Gabe (since I assume you're against the lucrative extension) better than potentially getting more draft capital for next year's draft to trade up and get what (one would hope & assume) would be an upgrade on Gabe at #2 WR in the 1st round at a cost-controlled price from 2024-2028?
