I never saw an official announcement that Isabella and Norman were called up from the Practice Squad. Were they? -

@HappyDays I'll never doubt you again -
Can't we trade for him and immediately extend him? Or since teams need to have that CAP space available before acquiring a player, work out the deal with the Raiders so that they extend him to exactly the contract we want before we sign him? I don't know if that's possible... but it could make the trade work. Renfrow's current contract is just over $11m AAV. He's Cole Beasley, but better. I would much rather pay Renfrow $11m for the next handful of seasons and draft a WR in the first few rounds than pay Gabe Davis the $13-$17m he's going to get as a 2nd contract.

Is Gabe Davis a trade candidate?
transplantbillsfan replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
More and more people are talking about the idea of trading Davis. Matt Parrino and Ryan Talbot talked about it on their podcast today. Say what you want about them but those 2 are pretty dialed in to the Bills. Parrino was ironically talking about a trade with our upcoming opponent involving some kind of combination of Davis, Evans, David & picks. -

You really think Gabe is going to get less than $15m AAV? -
Is Gabe Davis a trade candidate?

That's not an outlandish range from 2-4, but I agree a 2nd is unlikely. Why would we get a 4th rather than a 3rd as a comp pick for Gabe? Explain that formula. Regardless, I could see it as addition by subtraction. Shakir flashes when he gets opportunities. Same with Harty. A 4th this year is more valuable than a 4th next year. -

Soooooo... would you guys trade Davis for a 2nd-4th round draft pick right now? That's somewhere in the range of what he'd fetch. Take a look at the Chase Claypool trade to the Bears. And I think this season is proving more and more we won't keep him. He doesn't fit in our new offense. We're no longer a down the field passing team... the Bills require WRs who win at the LOS for short, quick gains. Fortunately or unfortunately, that's our new offense. Gabe doesn't fit. -
Remember the 2021 season: Concern vs Panic

The Chiefs have struggled in more than half their games this year. Watch more football. Invest in NFL plus and go watch them against the Broncos, Jets, and Jags this year. They just pulled out Ws in those games they slogged through. How about the Bengals? Watch more football. -

Convenient to leave out Miami, but whatever proves your point as you keep moving the goalpost, right? -

I think Josh's shoulder was a bigger problem than he let on. He missed several passes he's normally money on... particularly those ones he escapes the pocket and rolls right. I hope we can scrape out a win on Thursday and he can use this extended 11 day mini bye to get healthier. Happy we have the bye late in the season just before the Chiefs. Hey guys... watch the rest of the QBs in the NFL. None are dominating. All are inconsistent. Mahomes included. Allen still... #1 in total TDs #3 in Completion % #6 in Passing Yards #5 in Passer Rating Oh yeah... and he's gone 6 straight games without fumbling the football. Not losing a fumble... fumbling period. Throughout the span of the rest of his career he's never had more than 3 straight games without fumbling.

Why I’m changing my mind on some things
transplantbillsfan replied to oldmanfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Josh actually said something in the last week or 2 about the need for him to stop showing his emotions so much. He said that was something he was really working on. Matt Parrino and Ryan Talbot on their Shout podcast said they've noticed a difference in the last few weeks. That could explain the stoicism. Maybe he took it too far. -
Watching the Chiefs game. Bills no where near them.

Have you watched them over the last few weeks? Watch more football. -

How was that offense still creating an identity? Year 3 with Daboll, Beasley and John Brown and Year 2 with Diggs. I'd argue this offense is still creating its identity much more than that one was. In fact, one thing I hope comes out of this game is more trust in Kincaid by Allen. Why? Thank you, sir. You've captured my feelings exactly! -

Yes. And? Just a few weeks ago Buffalo blew out the Dolphins. It's a week to week league. -

Do you actually want answers to these questions? The answers to the first 2 are NO (in a 5 game stretch from Jags to Patriots Buffalo scored 6, 15 and 10) and YES (Tre White). The last question is no because Mac Jones only threw 3 passes. We lost to him, though. Are you saying that's what I'm doing cause I directly said I'm concerned? -
I'm concerned right now. We should all be concerned. Stop panicking. The Bills have a worse record than they did at this point last season. They looked inept offensively in the 1st half the last 2 weeks against 2 of the worst teams in the NFL... at least by the metrics of the moment. But this board has a short memory. Everyone remember us rolling into the playoffs in 2021? 4 straight wins and then that historically dominant win against the Patriots before the 13 second heartbreaker. And that was the year everyone was saying "that was our year!" That was also the year we started with an embarrassing and surprising loss to the Steelers, won 4 in a row and then went 3-5 in our next 8 games including disgustingly shameful losses to the Jags and Colts. Buffalo was 7-6 with 4 games remaining and it was very questionable whether we'd even make the playoffs... much less look so good for a stretch of games. Here we are again... except it's not as dire as 2021 because we're still so early in the year. Plus, there's really no single dominant team in the NFL. First time in years there were no undefeated teams after 6 weeks. We have a loooooOOOOooonnngg way to go this season.
