  1. This is one of the best interviews I've ever listened to. I friggin love Lee Smith!!! Dude's hilarious!!! Anyone up in arms about the specific comment needs to go listen to the whole interview to get a feel for the guy. I belly laughed several times while listening to this Interview.
  2. Well... it might honestly be a blessing in disguise if another team pays him. It's not that I don't want him back, but if those dollars are devoted to our offense taking 2 steps forward while our defense takes 2 steps back, I'm perfectly fine with that.
  3. Anyone listen to and respect Joe Marino? I was never a big podcast guy til I started listening to him last offseason. In his podcast of Locked On Bills yesterday he said he thought Robinson is one of the 3 best players in this draft and that he would not be upset if we drafted him at 27, but also said he didn't think he'd be there. He said Bijan is the best RB talent since Saquan and thinks he's better than Saquan. Take that FWIW, but 3 years of Bijan and Cook as a 1-2 punch might just be what gets us over the hump... plus we'd have 2 more years of Robinson.
  4. I think Shakir could end up being a number 2 if Dorsey utilizes him the right way. His arms are just really short for a WR playing on the outside
  5. Boy... you're taking that statement awfully literally
  6. The Eagles defense gave up 28 points. Not 35.
  7. I hope so. I'll say this... look at Diggs vs Shakir coming out of College and they're almost identical. Shakir has significantly shorter arms but seems a little more explosive if you're basing it off the Combine. I think we were all pretty excited to get him in the 5th round. I wouldn't be surprised to see him surpass Davis, but we should still hedge our bets and get a WR.
  8. Are you proposing we resign Saffold as a UFA in a few weeks to trade him? Did you think this through?
  9. If you were to take the careers of Juju & MVS vs Knox & Davis, this comparison becomes ridiculous. Production wise MVS >>> Knox and Juju >>> Davis in their NFL careers. And it's not very close.
  10. Juju, MVS, Toney, Moore, Kelce, McKinnon, Pacheco>>>> Diggs, Davis, McKenzie, Shakir, Knox, Singletary, Cook Do you honestly disagree with that?
  11. It's not just Kelce, though. Andy Reid is still calling the plays and they have more weapons now than before. They swapped Hill out for 2 young but established veteran WRs, a young 1st round WR they traded for, a 2nd round rookie WR, and McKinnon and Pacheco at RB.
  12. You do understand the very different situations these players walked into, right? The Chiefs won double digit games and went to the playoffs the 2 years before they drafted Mahomes and then again in his rookie year when he sat the whole season and had the benefit of being groomed under Andy Reid and watching a pro like Alex Smith in front of him. And they had Hill and Kelce from the start for Mahomes. No one is saying Mahomes would suck outside of KC, but coaching, system, and surrounding personnel matter and Allen has always been far behind Mahomes with respect to those things.
  13. First of all, I figured the emoticon would make you realize that what I was saying was tongue in cheek. Really wasn't being totally serious there... not totally. But Allen’s never had 2 sure-fire 1st ballot HOF weapons to throw to along with a well-established mad-scientist offensive play caller and QB guru. And if you want to argue that Daboll was just that at the end of his tenure in WNY, we could point to Allen's historic playoff games last year only to be botched by coaching at the end of the game.
  14. But that was the opposite of the Patriots' model. Still trying to see the connection.
  15. On the one hand, I applaud your post. On the other hand, I think it's sleight of hand. Are 4 4th down conversions your argument for good coaching? Maybe drive 1 with the 4th and 2 on the 50 and the 4th and goal on the 1. But I think that's more analytics. Took players executing more than anything. The other drive they went for it on 4th down twice and converted, they pretty much needed to. They were down late in the game. To me that's not great coaching as much as trusting your players. And there were 2 TDs on 4th downs, not 3. How about a coach who doesn't make absolutely certain that the kicker knows to kick it short? Or a coach who makes sure the defense doesn't leave the best TE in NFL history a wide open seam in the middle of the field when the Chiefs still have a timeout? Those 2 things were pretty clearly just poor coaching decisions.
  16. Translation: Huh???? Are we having the same conversation??? The guy I responded to said Mahomes had fewer weapons this year. I responded...
  17. Ummm... did Mahomes really have fewer weapons than last season? I don't think last season the Chiefs had JuJu, MVS, Kadarius Toney, Isaiah Pacheco, or Skyy Moore. I get that Hill was an Elite HOF weapon, but KC found a way to add a handful of more than competent players to replace him. Ever consider the benefit of 3 or 4 more good players over a single Elite player? And on a side note, maybe it should be an indictment on Mahomes that he could only win 1 Super Bowl as clearly the best QB in the NFL with a 1st ballot HOFer at both TE and WR1.
  18. Thank you. I honestly forgot about that Chad Henne drive. That right--much like Reid's success with Alex Smith at QB before Mahomes--is why I get so frustrated at Allen’s coaching situation, which has just been very good, not great.
  19. Neither were the Colts Ummm... you're criticizing Josh for the 2 UCL injuries???? Are you being funny here?
  20. And that's the incredibly frustrating aspect of all of this. Although right now I think the problem is more the OL with Josh running for his life or getting elbow injuries from blind side strip sacks. Notice how Kansas City actually chose to part ways with its most dynamic weapon in the offseason in favor of building the OL.
  21. Mahomes was obviously going to win it. The thing that might wind up breaking our hearts 15 years from now is the "What if" scenarios. What if Buffalo just drafted Mahomes? What if it was Buffalo that got Andy Reid as the Head Coach? What if Josh Allen didn't get the UCL injury vs the Jets? What if Von Miller didn't get injured? Etc. I still firmly believe in Allen as one of the best QBs in the NFL and the best in terms of sheer physical talent. Problem is, as good as our Head Coach and GM are (and I believe they're very good), they may pale in comparison to what Kansas City has. It's early in their careers, realistically, but I really thought this would be Brady vs. Manning... and I thought eventually Allen would be Brady. I still think he can be that. But at the moment with the pieces around him he might end up being more Roethlisberger. And no, for the idiot who started the thread saying Allen equals Rivers... I just don’t see that happening with a healthy Josh Allen for another 10 plus years.
  22. Why are we so far behind Kansas City and Cincinnati? If you think we are this year, you surely did last year, too, right? Afterall, we lost to Kansas City who lost convincingly to Cincinnati. Right? Sorry. Injuries and circumstances were too much for this team to overcome. Hobbled Poyer. No Von. No Hyde. No Daquan Jones--a loss against Cincy many aren't talking about. A 1 armed Jordan Phillips. 3rd string onto 4th string Safety. Yes. I realize there are no offensive players there. Offense is where I expect the upgrades this offseason... namely OL and WR. But no, we aren't that far behind either of those teams. Buffalo was dealt a horrible hand this year. Remember, we still have Josh Allen.
