  1. Never said that, but don't let that stop you starting your strawman argument.
  2. As someone who thought the kid would be a joke in the NFL - he's been the best player in the league this year when healthy. Jefferson has been electric, but he's also had dud games and Kupp set a new bar last year. If Tua hadn't missed so much time, I think he'd be a lock for MVP. As it is, it's probably a two horse race between Mahomes and Hurts and Mahomes will need to fall off or Hurts will have to really start dazzling to stop Mahomes from getting his #2.
  3. Strong consideration - and he'll probably still be back because there aren't that many teams looking to run 20 year old defensive strategies that depend on having 8+ starting caliber defensive lineman. We're not that lucky.
  4. And hundreds of thousands or even millions more guilty roam free. Look at Danny Masterson. He's definitely guilty, gets a mistrial. Deshaun Watson, definitely guilty, gets a quarter billion dollars instead of going to prison. It took decades - decades - before cases against Weinstein and Cosby were given their due and especially in the case of Cosby there was no shortage of "witch hunt" defenses using the same line of logic you are now. The criminal justice system is absolutely, without question flawed, but more often than not it's flawed to the benefit of the rich and powerful. Just the other day there was a case about a very famous organization guilty on all 17 counts of fraud and conspiracy over a 15 year reign of crime and they walked away with a $1.6m fine - just a cost of doing business. This world is filled to the brim with monsters, and many of them never have to face justice.
  5. He had sex with a minor as an adult. Him not being charged with that crime doesn't change that fact.
  6. And an admission of statutory rape.
  7. No they did not, and yes they did. “Ultimately, prosecutors determined it is clear the evidence does not support the filing of criminal charges and there is no path to a potential criminal conviction,” the office said in a statement. “Prosecutors can only file charges when they ethically believe they can be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.” They said point blank that they haven't filed charges because they don't believe they can get a conviction. You have to read more than the first participle of the first sentence to understand the message being relayed. The reason that the evidence does not support the filing of charges is not because the evidence is not valid, but because it won't lead to a conviction. They are extremely clear about this and to attribute their statement to a line of logic of "they don't think a crime occurred" is completely incorrect. They may or they may not, but their statement indicates nothing except their opinion of how likely they are to win a conviction. And this comment right here is why the world is in the awful state it is.
  8. Oh yea, poor guy...🙄
  9. 100% false. Could not possibly be more wrong if it was your explicit intent.
  10. Way to fly right off the deep-end on a terrible take when they told you exactly what they think. No need to incorrectly re-interpret.
  11. I don't know about you, but I don't plan on going back to 7-9 strategies.
  12. He was on pace for 12 sacks this year which would have been good enough for #10 sack leader last year - and he did that playing only 61% of snaps. I'm not worried about him slowing down any further until he actually does. The whole point of Von Miller being on this team is to be a situational player for 3-4 games of the season. He's making that $20M so he can get the one sack on the play that matter most in January. While it sucks that he's not going to be able to fulfill that role this year, it would be a minor blessing if they just held him out until the playoffs next year. He's our Kucherov without the benefit of the LTIR cap relief.
  13. If you didn't expect this - welcome to your first season as a Bills fan. It only goes downhill from here. As soon as he went down I planned on him being out or at minimum ineffective for the rest season, so it isn't much of a shock. We've never been a team that's winning games on the back of our defense and I didn't expect that to change this year. I don't see this loss having much impact if any on our chances. The offense needs to get right and game day coaching needs to drastically improve. If those two things happen, we'll be fine. Von ha a big impact on the way our line looked early in the year, but lately it's looked like less. It's time for Boogie to step up and realize the potential he's shown.
  14. Stevenson should go on IR and be released whenever he asks for it. Not an NFL talent. Murray will be cut for Ike Lewis will be cut for Benford if he returns That leaves Klein, Spector and Rhodes (pending Benford) as the only places on the roster to make room for a WR.
  15. Maybe you didn't understand me. You can't upgrade your line midseason. I'm aware of the concept of trading, but it just doesn't ever happen for starting caliber OL. They're simply too valuable for a team at any stage and it takes too long to get up to speed. At absolute best you can find a bottom of the roster player who's likely going to get cut anyway and you trade a 7th round pick just to get dibs. it's not a worthwhile solution to the problem.
  16. Lights out? Meaning they play like they're blind? They routinely give up monster plays regardless of who is on the field, and without Miller, Hyde, and Benford we'll never hit the bar of "healthy". Our defense is a liability, not a strength. If we find ourselves in a playoff situation where we have to kick the ball off with under 2 minutes to go and up by less than 3, I 100% expect to lose.
  17. It's a non-issue. Play through the whistle. Pushing piles has been a part of football as long as I can remember. It's just getting more coverage now because of the special QB sneak rule. I remember it happening downfield my whole life.
  18. You can't fix OL mid-season. So, you either try to improve in areas that can make up for OL deficiency (pass catchers) or do nothing and pray that what never worked before suddenly starts working now for now reason. It looks like we'll choose the latter.
  19. I'd give him $6-$8. Why should he make as much as Milano when Milano is the far superior player?
  20. People say this all the time, but his analytics against the pass throughout his career are terrible - less so this year, but still not "1 of 1" or anywhere approaching elite. I guess I'm just not wowed that he has athleticism that lets him be in a position to make a play if his brain never tells him when it's time to make the play. Being a "deterrent" against the pass is just not an impressive trait for me. I get what you're saying about how so few LBs have that athleticism, but give me a guy with 50% less athleticism that hits 25% harder and sheds blocks 25% better and I'll make that trade every single day and twice on Sundays. He's been in this league 5 years and we're still talking potential. He is what he is- which is a good not great LB that can sorta do one thing in a very specific defensive role. Don't ask him to tackle RBs or sack the QB because that's not his job. Just marvel at the way he drifts downfield with a TE while a player scoots by him to pick up monster yards on 3rd and long.
  21. He's not being paid for his blocking abilities. You can always sign Lee Smith at a vet minimum contract to do that.
  22. When you're the MLB and also praised for your otherworldly athleticism and physical gifts and are talked about like you're elite - it would be nice if you could shed a block or make an impact tackle once in a while. We defended the run just fine without him, and that's not a celebration of his backups.
  23. I don't see many people hating Knox the player. I see a lot of people hating his contract and usage.
  24. Maybe 10 years from now. I haven't watched him much this year, but through last year Rodgers was still plenty mobile.
