  1. How about if the Bills win their next game they might make playoffs and if they don’t they probably won’t? Why does it have to be all this “contender” BS. They are not a contender and not built to be yet. Chill out.
  2. The next time you start a post with "I know this has been discussed before" just realize that this has been discussed before and don't start a thread. They didn't run because the defense was daring Josh Allen to pass. He didn't deliver. End of story.
  3. Preston Brown would be great depth and he was a great locker room guy as well. He fits "the process" ... would love to see him brought in. Remember how bad we looked when Milano went down? Imagine if he goes down again or if Edmunds gets injured... we need quality depth.
  4. Thinking about John Brown and Cole Beasley trying to out-muscle a defender is probably making Josh a bit nervous as well. We really needed/need a WR1. I’m shocked we didn’t add one via trade... asking price on AJ Green and others must have been stupid high.
  5. Didn't see this posted anywhere: https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/11/08/olivier-vernon-ruled-out-by-browns/ He's a solid player. The line didn't move much with this news, but it's a nice boost for our O-Line.
  6. We have $80mil in cap space for a reason. I've been saying this since the offseason. We are not supposed to make the playoffs and win this year. Next year we will load up with talent and you will see our legitimate capability.
  7. Teams already know what he can do. I think it's the opposite of what you're talking about. He doesn't want to risk further injury on a team with a bad QB and bad O-line before he hits free agency.
  8. We have a ton of unused cap space this year, so we're paying him more this year to extend him at a below-market rate in future years. It's actually pretty smart.
  9. Wow... it's almost as if... he inherited a bad team with horrible contracts and had to gut it and start over. But that couldn't be the case. Lets boo him out of town and bring Rex Ryan and Doug Whaley back.
  10. Wow this is a really interesting and fresh opinion. Did everyone else know that we have an easy schedule this year and haven't beaten a tough opponent? THANK YOU!!!!!
  11. You might have forgotten how Schwartz was a complete dumpster fire of a head coach with Detroit. Hiring Rex was a horrible mistake... and most of us knew it immediately ...but hiring Schwartz as HC would have probably been equally bad. There's a reason he hasn't found another head coaching job despite his success as a DC. Does that remind you of anyone?
  12. Ed Oliver is 21 years old and basically learning a new position. Tremaine Edmunds is 21 years old and already running the defense. I can't believe you're giving up on these guys already. Quitters will be quitters though. Patriots bandwagon is still open, buddy.
  13. The more things change the more they stay the same. https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/sports/1995/12/28/in-buffalo-miamis-cox-is-one-foul-fish/01c16e51-ebd0-4591-bc4f-de20486b34cf/ December, 1995: "Weinstein is the Miami Dolphins' longtime director of security. His main mission this weekend is to safeguard Brian Cox from the same Buffalo Bills fans he taunted and spat at after being ejected two weeks ago in a heated game between these two longtime antagonists. Cox was fined $17,500 by the NFL for fighting running back Carwell Gardner that day (Gardner got nailed for $13,500)."
  14. Can we kill this thread? Josh Allen did not have a great game. Our defense did not have a great game. The Josh Allen haters are going to hate this game, but I'm sure nobody will say our defense stinks because of this game. It was a bad game. We won. End of discussion.
  15. And their #3 best ranked player was drafted in the 5th round (Maurice Hurst). Meanwhile, Saquon Barkley was ranked #11. We don't need to continue talking about PFF. It's a good website for a quick check, but they're wrong pretty darn frequently and don't know anything about scheme or system... they're basically evaluating players blind.
  16. Direct quote: "72% completion percentage ... he's completing a lot of passes ... but he's still not accurate, Bills fans." This pretty much sums up all you need to know about PFF.
  17. Seems like more than a few people disagree with you. You can cry all you want in another thread.
  18. I really don't want this to turn into a Josh Allen vs Patrick Mahomes thread. Lets kill that before it happens please.
  19. When Pat Mahomes was lighting the world on fire last year, I found myself extremely aggravated that we didn't pick him at #10 in the 2017 NFL draft. This year, I've found peace with the idea that he's not on our team and here are the top 10 reasons why: 1. With the first pick in the 2017 draft, the Cleveland Browns (who needed a QB) didn't take Mahomes. 2. With the second pick in the draft, the Chicago Bears TRADED UP to take Mitch Trubisky. 3. With the fourth pick in the draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars, who needed a QB, took Leonard Fournette. 4. With the fifth pick in the draft, the Tennessee Titans stuck with Marcus Mariotta and took Corey Davis instead. 5. With the sixth pick in the draft, the Jets (lol), who needed a QB, took Jamal Adams 6. With the 7th pick in the draft, the Chargers took Mike Williams instead of an heir to Phil Rivers. 7. With the 9th pick in the draft, the Bengals picked John Ross instead of Patrick Mahomes. 8. All of these same teams ALSO passed on Deshaun Watson. 9. Yes, we traded down and didn't get Mahomes, but we DID get Tre White and a future first round pick. 10. That future first round pick (combined with others) turned into Josh Allen, who at the very least has more upside at QB than anyone we've had in a long time. Hope this makes you all feel a little better as well.
  20. 2017: Played for Rams, best offense in football, and produced 593 yards the whole season. 2018: Played for Chiefs, best offense in football, and produced 519 yards the whole season. Wouldn't exactly said he has been lighting it up.
  21. Not to rain on everyone's parade, but signing Phillips to a long term deal is very risky. https://dolphinswire.usatoday.com/2018/10/02/dt-jordan-phillips-announces-he-has-been-released-by-dolphins/ He has had significant motivational issues and off-field baggage. He has been criticized of taking plays off and being a diva. I love the guy ... but doesn't a lot of this sound familiar?
  22. My guess is that any status we hear about Josh Allen's concussion progress or lack thereof is all BS. If I'm McDermott, I'm making the Titans prepare for both Josh Allen and Matt Barkley. Their two games are completely different. This is actually a significant advantage for us.
  23. The worst part about a message board is that anyone is allowed to post.
