  1. Really, so no one I going to correct the OP on spelling definitely wrong?? Dephinatilley not bro!!! This is deafinetly a poor thread thats for sure.
  2. X - Cam Newton Y - Terry Bradshaw That would be some messed up genetic mutant right there!
  3. 1980 versus the Jets at home. It was the earlier game and wasn't terribly cold that day. I only remember that I liked Joe Cribbs after that day and that I went from being a closet Steelers fan due to their dominance in the 70's to becoming a raging Bills fan and never looked back.
  4. I am cautiously optimistic and would say that around 950 all purpose is my guess.
  5. Accounts reset tomorrow, August 8th. Last year it was like the 12th I think, not sure. i think it should be the same for everyone, but hard to say.
  6. I wouldn't even be surprised, if he looks good in camp, for the front office to extend him and restructure deal so he gets less, but stays at least one more year and most likely two to end his careers here. His fitness level hasn't dropped as much as some think.
  7. Dude is just exhausted from all the draft hype. Give him a chance to recharge and you will see a different guy.
  8. I'd rather he be a goat!, but yeh I got ya...
  9. It is NFL team protocol for players signed off other squads after the start of the new season to be interviewed by the team and to make notes of any pertinent info that might help them with their info gathering on that squad,...totally normal, and every team does it. Some guys will go as much as to even try and give them every play and basically everything they a can remember from the play book before they forget.
  10. Gotta pretty darn good look at his nut sack as well!?
  11. They will cut down playbook. I have seen this done before, and I coach qbs myself. It will be something along the lines of two short passes, two screens, two middle of the field options, two outside the numbers, and two long passes. Mix that out of three or four personnel groupings and you have at least 30 options for passing. The same idea for runs. Two dives, two off tackles, two rubs or counters, two stretches, and two pitches or tosses. Mix that with your personnel groupings and there is your offense. They will most likely give him options to audible and switch the play side or audible to one of his other plays. This will allow him to play faster and still be enough to keep the opposing denfense guessing if Dabol can get the play calling improved this week. I think they will. Probably not enough to win, but I am sure they will make it simple enough so he can run it and look better doing it. I hope he plays well enough to build a base off of which he can progress. Trending up is key for this next game!
  12. I remember when he was at San Diego, for hurt, there was so much doubt about his ability to throw deep because his arm wasn't that strong to begin with. A lot of peopl thought New Orleans made a mistake at that time. All that changed very quickly, but there was the story line, I was there man. Great college an, but not tall enough for NFL, arm didn't have the deep ball. Accuracy was off the charts though. I actually think Peterman has and will continue to improve in that department. His mechanics have also improved with coaching in the last year. I say that because you can definitely see the mechanics improvement in Allen,...Peterman's mechanics weren't terrible, but he still has room and has shown improvement in ball placement though better footwork on certain throws. Cautiously optimistic about his performance, but if the line can't protect him, it won't matter.
  13. That was longer than I thought...but I was waiting for the guy that would have that response exactly! I agree with what you say. I am not really sure what we have, but he might just turn out to be a little better than we thought, that's all. Brees comparison I thought was legit, and no matter who I had said, people will disagree anyway. Thanks for actually adding something to the argument. I don't see why we can't argue without it getting nasty.
  14. I have never heard anyone really compare these two QBs on the board here or anywhere, but you have to admit, there are some similarities in their styles of play and skill sets. I am not a Peterman fan, nor am I against him. I think he had a rough start to his career and other than that, he has looked relatively promising as a potential solid starter. The weakness of his arm strength, just like Drew Bree's, and lack of size (cause for concern on wear and tear) were the main knocks on both. Both great college players, except Bree's has the edge for sure there. I know this is a stretch a little here, but I am not so sure Peterman could turn out to be a solid QB in this league. Personally, I see the generational talent in Allen, and I want that for my guy, but what are we going to do if all of a sudden Peterman starts showing flashes and wins games?? Ok, now you can roast away, I brought cold beer and snacks so you don't have to be gentle!
  15. I have a feeling that both KB and Holmes were not quite the 100% in the offseason and in season "work hard" kind of guys and they have both found a little spark from McD and his crew. Not saying top in the league, just have a hunch they might be better than they have been in the past, plus a coordinator and QB that can get them the ball. We all might be surprised a bit.
  16. Used to call this a zip or zipper package. A good route running fast receiver can sometimes draw as many as three defenders into him and away from the under and seam routes when they play cover 2, and draw the deep safety to his side and give KB the inside leverage on his guy. I think Daboll seems smart enough to know what to do with a guy like Coleman. We'll see?
  17. I actually think KB will be good if he can get some support. I think a fast speedster and a big pass catching TE could be what we need. This offense is based on creating mismatches. We need different type receivers to create those matchups.
  18. I call BS on this. I would not be surprised if their psychs and PR departments are doing a bit of damage control and using this as a way to buy time and try and get him mentally back where he needs to be. The timing is odd, and I know things like this do happen behind closed doors. I am not at all saying this is for sure, but I smell a rat...
  19. Well, I guess there is more ways to go crazy waiting for this draft to get here. I can't be upset at the OP for posting this,...but man the draft can't get here soon enough! +1
  20. I think the main focus of this draft will be to secure out two quarterbacks, one on offense, and one on defense. So QB and a top level MLB should be our aim. If we can accomplish that, the rest of the team is good enough for us to be able to compete both now and moving forward. Just get those two guys and we can really all sit back and relax a bit for the season to start. Go Bills!
  21. They actually just passed that rule today. Now an official off the field can tell the referee that the personal foul which was called was deemed to be an act "outside of football", and can eject the player. This is exactly the rule reacting to Gronk's hit. Anyone could see it was flagrant, illegal, and borderline criminal in nature. He would have been ejected for sure!
  22. Is everyone replying here gone off the rails? The OP just pointed out that HE thought is was ironic that a player who was not very successful himself as a player was now evaluating that very same thing in other players. Not saying I agee, but I can also certainly understand his logic. what is with all the criticisms? Anyway, I see the OP's point and agree to some extent that I can see the irony, but at the same time, I can see the opposite side that due to his deep level of experience in the game he can evaluate talent with a much deeper understanding of what does and doesn't work.
  23. I agree with your observations on Roman. A great coach but not during live action. He definitely should have someone else do the playcalling. I see this in coaching all the time. Some coaches need more time to think, these coaches are more analytical in their approach and less "gut feeling" type guys. The best combination is to get the assistants to be the analytical type guys and the coordinator to be more emotionally sensitive to situational football. I think we are in a similar situation with Rico, but opposite. He is a feel coach that was trying to scheme up things but was over sensitive to the fact that Tyrod didn't see the open guys and he became a reflection of the talent he had behind center. I am in the minority that actually thinks that maybe a QB change and possibly a little help on the assistant side of coaching for our offense might be what we see from OBD this offseason. Watch the tape, you will see that in every game this year Tyrod missed open players on multiple plays. That is not the OC's fault.
  24. I just said this in another post, but a lot of us fans need to watch the tape. You will see that in every game there were multiple plays where the scheme got guys open and Tyrol did not see it or chose another more conservative target. I really believe that the play calling was partly compensation all due to the fact that Tyrod seems to not see anything down the field. Defenses started to key on this early this season and Tyrod and Rico were not able to find any common ground. I am not saying I am a Rico fan, but it is difficult to say if his playcalling would be different with a QB that has different skill sets. Maybe a new QB and possibly a new playcaller or QB coach with more to offer will be what we see from OBD? We will find out soon.
