  1. I agree, and for more than just the points you made. If you go back and watch the All 22, it is clear that in every game, the scheme did get players consistently open and Tyrod either didn't see them or went to shorter options. P,us, he has definitely lost confidence in the long ball. His first season he was very accurate on throws over 20 yards, and has become very conservative each and every game since then. I am not not a fan of Rico at all, and maybe if they could just find a new QB it might get better, but playcalling still seems a bit weak. That being said, a lot of the playcalling might be Rico's way of compensating for Tyrod. I guess we will find out soon.
  2. Thanks Chris! Let the team know they have fans across the pond over here in the Czech Republic cheering them on. #billsmafia is everywhere:) Thanks for all your great coverage! Go Bills!
  3. Time for some payback on Saint Dougy! Let's go get em boys...Go Bills!
  4. That from a guy named Johnny Hammersticks...lol
  5. I will quote one of the best ever QB's on this subject...Joe Montana..."I don't throw darts at balloons, I throw balloons at darts!" even when the elbow was gone, he could still make the throws necessary to move the team down the field. Power is great and all, but accuracy and ball placement is key to the west coast offense. This is not the run and gun, not the K-Gun, nor a vertical passing attack offense. Short to mid-range, accurate throws to players with the ability to make yards after that catch. Come on guys, we have watched Brady kill us like this for years. Let's at least give the man a chance before we make quick decisions on what is or what isn't key for him to be a success. ok, I'm done now. Thanks for playing...
  6. I am not backing Tyron, but I have to disagree with you in Dennison. He is calling the same pattern of plays over and over. There is no creativity in using formations or anything at all to get our playmakers in space. I-formation on first and run off tackle was called on three drives in the first half.WTF is that. Not one audible calling a draw or run when Carolina was clearly in a cover two or cover three. That is not Tyrod, that is the playcaller, period!
  7. Actually it was on Zay. That route should be run to the cone or corner not the sideline. You only run that to the sideline behind the corner when there is time. If he just runs towards the corner, it's a TD. I am not pinning this game on him, but that route was run improperly. I am sure he would tell you the same. Take a look at the play again and you will see. Tyron actually threw it to the perfect spot for the TD. Zay ran too much to the sideline for no reason,...sad day for any Bills fan.
  8. Seriously! The playcalling was horrible. First down run up the gut or off tackle, second down quick outs and hitches, third down another quick out and incomplete or short of the sticks. That was the entire first half. Not one time did they run a play action on first down in the first half, not one time did they throw the ball up the seams against a cover two, not one time did they audible to a run when they were running cover two or cover three. Even I can see that. Worst playcalling I have ever seen from a professional team.
  9. Really what's wrong? I called ninety percent of the the play calls he made before the play started. His play calling is atrocious and so easy to cover. No trickery whatsoever. We have some decent weapons to at least make a few plays. Today was the worst offensive play calling I have seen as a fan, ever!!
  10. I also believe that McD and Beane are doing the right things here. I am not sure how things will turn out, but I believed it will be better than most people think and that this team will compete in every game. There are just too many unknowns to determine what will happen. If we can stay relatively healthy at the key positions, avoid mistakes, and get a little lucky(as most teams do at some point in winning seasons), we can push for a playoff run IMO. That said, that's a lot to go your way. Let's hope for the best, this team, and our suffering fan base could all use some positive energy about now! Go Bills! Start the stampede...
  11. I would love to man, but I live in Prague in the Czech Republic.
  12. Agree with shutting down McCaffery, and that was why I suggested or I guess just hope we can hit him early and rattle him a bit. Also nice to hear that there is some respect there for McD and Beane, they both seem like stand up guys. The character of this team, hopefully will be reflected more and more as we move forward from what they are trying to build. I am not sure we are ready yet, but I do believe they are making the right steps. Let's hope we can keep our heads about us this asunday if the adversity hits early and not do the cliche, "here we go again bit". That is tough not to do when you have had a drought like the Bills. With so many new faces, this might be our year to at least make a step forward in that regard. I was waiting for someone to say that:)
  13. Love the optimism. I think as long as we minimize mistakes, your prediction sounds just about right. I also saw the same thing you did from SF. They had opportunities against that D and shot themselves in the foot on numerous occasions. If we can play clean and not turn the ball over I think 27-20 is doable.
  14. I am guessing Humber or Kyle on a cut back! Let's just hope we can set the tone early. I know it's cliche, but it makes a big difference when playing away.
  15. That is a good oversvation for sure! Details make all the difference at this level. Kueckly and Tomas are quick to recognize and react. You might have a good point on the balls fakes.
  16. You think that is dodging a bullet. Heat index almost at ninety sounds pretty warm to me!
  17. It's impossible to know by just observation if the shoulder is healed or not. It could be just psychosomatic and he just needs time to get his confidence back, but there were a couple things I saw that lead me to believe he has less range of motion and that there is more than just some fear there. A couple of times he turned away from contact in the throws, on the short ru out of bounds he went out of his way to contort himself as to avoid contact with ground. In the end, only time will tell. I was just posing an argument that the game is not a lock for them to win if these things are as I think, and oh yeah...we need to execute a good game plan against them. That's a lot of what ifs...let's hope we step up this week.
  18. I really do think Carolina is beatable. If you take the time to watch the game there are a few things that can be picked up; 1. Niners play calling was horrible and they made so many mistakes that really made the Carolina defense look better than they actually played. They tried to use the pass to set up the run and abandoned the run very early. They turned the ball over with silly throws by Hoyer, throws Tyrod IMO will not make. This allowed Carolina's defense to tee off and rush the passer. They are open to hitting those big plays we are really good at in behind that rush if they decide to do so. 2. There were critical penalties made by Niners and again another play calling snafu going for it on fourth down three times, only converting once late in the game when it didn't really matter. That gave Carolina great starting position on almost every drive in the first three quarters. Again, I don't think McD will make those calls either. 3. Carolina's new weapon in McCaffrey is quick, but susceptible to big hits. I think if we can key on him and hit him hard early, he could be minimized in his effect. Hit him hard, hit him early. He really hasn't had his welcome to the NFL hit yet. Let's hope we get that chance for an introduction! 4. Cam was very reluctant to run on the option which leads me to believe that the shoulder is not ready in his mind to take the big hit. Plus, it was apparent that his throwing motion does not look the same. His wind up is shorter than before, really looks like he has some discomfort reaching back. Now, he did look better in the second half for sure, but the motion was still different, especially when throwing to his right where (I am a biomechanist and golf coach as well as quarterbacks coach), he seems to have trouble with his internal and external shoulder rotation. His rotator cuff is definitely limited. If we can get a hit on him with some big body like Marcell or Kyle, that could really limit his effectiveness. Now I am not saying this is going to be a cake walk, but I think our coaching staff will notice these little details as well. This is not the same Carolina team from two years ago. Cam is but a shell of his former self in my opinion. We need to get he and McCaffrey hit hard and early. If our D can play physical I think we can slow them down bigtime, and their D has yet to prove. They can stop the run and quick passing game. That cover three they like to play and their zone blitz packages are open to being picked apart by our zone blocking and underneath passing game and seem routes by the TE's. Let's hope we come out quick and pop these guys in the mouth early! Go Bills!
  19. None of us know what the game plan for the dline was today. It looks like there was some attempt to rush four only and make sure they were gap conscientious while pushing the pocket. It was almost always a four on five and even four on six scenario. They played the bend but don't break cover three and cover four on the back end and were allowing McCown to try and beat them. I admit, this is boring to watch, but if you have been a fan for any time, you will remember the Bills of old used to play a similar bend but don't break defense themselves. I am not defending the fact that the pash rush could have been better at times on third downs, but there seemed to be a plan in place. We will see as we move forward if this was just a premonition or not.
  20. That would be nice, and I think the logic behind your argument is solid, but the game would be very difficult to get moved or postponed unless there was imminent danger on game day. The storm will have passed at that point days before, and barring any real major devastation to the area, the game will be held in Carolina. For the greater good, I am hoping the storm doesn't even hit them at all. This season for the Bills looks to be a rebuilding/see what we have kind or year. I am not too concerned with trying to get any major advantages this season. As always, time will tell.
  21. Hey now, don't Mudge a book by it's cover!
  22. I would not have thought this a couple weeks ago, but after these last couple moves, it just seems obvious that the team is being set up to lose. I think, no matter what the effort from the team will be, they are just disfunctional enough to be on the short end of the stick for just about every game. Our matchups looks really tough and the team looks that even if they fight their butts off, unless there is some miracle season ahead, we,are, destined for a 4-12 to 5-11 season. That will most likely put us in position to get "our guy". I just hope this strategy will work. It is as good as any in my book. We'll see soon. Go Bills!
  23. Draft also a stud RT and possibly another interesting offensive weapon as well as sure up the defensive interior. Then I am letting Peterman and rookie to both learn together and also compete for the starting job. The cream will rise to the top. Competition will do that. If it looks too close to call, you probably do sit the rookie for a while and only play him if Peterman really struggles. I really can see us doing something similar to this.JMO
