  1. In all seriousness though. I think we all know what our position needs are. It was already posted by the OP pretty much. Clearly... CB WR OLB OL TE S Maybe a developmental QB if there is someone we can get with a value pick, but let's not waste a pick just because!
  2. He always has very little to say and somehow I understand even less. You had to love his interviews though!
  3. I ain't a idiot neither...put me down for QB as well, or not. I so confused.
  4. Agreed^^^ just can't see it any other way unless we can't sign back Zach and they also want to get a LB in the second.
  5. Same stuff being posted here like on BBMB...man I can't wait for the season to get here. Having to listen to this agin for six months is going to suck. Hopefully this draft will quiet people down. Not crossing my fingers though.
  6. Long story short...NO. Too much money to tie up into one position. Draft, draft, draft!
  7. That may Ben the thinking at OBD and r a son behind notmgoing hard after Zach. Peppers, Reddick, Tabor, all good options. Don't you think Ihedigbo would fit that profile? I think his skills as a hybrid-zone scheme player are really above average. Man cover, not so much...might we bring him back? Interesting to say the least. Thanks OP. Nice post.
  8. I think Dennison has a totally different scheme to get TE and slot receivers open than what we applied last two years with TT. More of a "move" style, lots of PA roll outs, cutting the field in half with receivers flowing in the same direction as the roll out making for more run after catch style plays. I was never a fan of the 6 and 12 yard "hitch" routes we constantly ran last two seasons. Anyway, Howard has experience with this style with Alabama. They applied a lot of the play action roll out crossing routes to get him involved as well.
  9. Definitely a versatile player, just not sure his profile fits what we are looking for. I wouldn't be depressed if we got him though. I would take OJ as well either in the first or if we move down a little lower into the first.
  10. Agreed^^^^ I have posted something similar in a few threads. OJ would be something we can't pick up in later rounds, but a starting CB and WR #2 we can get. I also suggested we could find a RT to develop as well. That would be a good draft IMO.
  11. This^^^ Exactly, go get OJ Howard now, and then mostly Defense with maybe a RT somewhere in there, and this offseason would be IMO a great success.
  12. This could be good. He has as much potential as a Corey White, but I still think Seymour and a draft pick will split the duties at RCB and Nickel.
  13. I said the same things in another thread a few days ago, and I also think there will be a good receiver to be had between rounds two and five to compliment Sammy. I am also thinking they don't want o have a controversy over who our number one is. It might sound like a good problem to have, but what if, just what if Williams was noticeably better than Sammy...what with they so with Sammy at contract time in a couple years. Just saying...
  14. Wow bro, you are a posting here more than most of us. Sad the see the BBMB go, but all is well in the world. I would love to see a Packers/Bills SuperBowl while Aaron is still at the helm, but at this point we need to get into the dance first. This team, with a few more positions to solidly is intriguing for sure. We will see what McDermott can squeeze out of them. You excited about your new shiny TE toy over there?
  15. Lots of interesting comments on here about comp picks...I can't imagine what all the confusion is about. Picks are good right? Come on folks. Positive vibes is what this team needs. Let's go Bills! More picks, more players, more players, more chances to get good ones...pretty simple logic!
  16. Nice guy for sure,...but this is the real question for him. Will he even make the club? I think his leash will be short with Del Rio.
  17. Still we are not even sure if this guy is getting signed or not?
  18. I agree with you here. There are way too many on these boards criticizing and being negative. Then they say, well, we,have been waiting so long for the Bills to make the playoffs, we just expect them to be bad because they always score it up. Negative energy never brings any real positive results! Basic sociological construct stuff. I for one am positive this year, and every year. All of this struggle, IMO, has been for a reason. The tears will be that much bigger when we finally pull it out. On the subject of the wishbone...I really think we have the perfect storm brewing here. There aren't any other teams that could actually run it like us. They don't have the pieces we do. Like what was said, maybe only a handful of times each game, with a healthy dose of play action of similar formations, and we could make a few big plays per game, and that is all it takes to win in this league.
  19. Man, if you watched this kid when he came in, he looked every bit as solid as Woods. Watch the tape! I would cut bait with Woods now or see if you can trade him for something and use that cash on a position of need, perhaps another DB or maybe bring Zach a brown back. Just saying...
  20. I agree. Mental issues are usually the hardest to correct because they have to be self implemented. Not really sure if he can do it or not. I never said he would be able to, just conjecture that he might be able to. I think at this point in time where Buffalo is as a team, this is not the best time for this type of project. If we were more stable st the position, yes, but we definitely are not. I would pass!
  21. For me character is always a tough issue when dealing with projecting a player's future success... First of all let me say this,...his talent is undeniable. With that said, I think Buffalo could be the best place for him in the entire league with Jim and the rest of the family to keep him in order and remind him what type of young man he needs to be to fulfill his dream. Not sure if the third is the right time, but I believe his talent is way above the 5th round value.
  22. I have to agree here. A coach has to stick with a guy who is performing well no matter what the talent is behind him. Coaches will always be wary of the unknown and rarely stick their necks out. The D1system is tough, and these guys want to keep their jobs. On the other hand, Trubisky has shown when out in he could also deliver. It is so difficult to project how he will perform at the next level. I coach for a living, and I can tell you how hard it is. You have to be willing to both believe in a guy on one hand and do your best to develop him, and have a contingency plan at the same time without that indicating you do believe in the first guy, if that makes any sense. It a lot tougher job to manage all those egos and the business side of it at the same time. Let's hope OBD figures it out this time. We sure as hell have been waiting long enough!
  23. I agree with you here. He could really help IMO even more than a Davis or Wiliams, but we need more help on D! The other team in New England* just picked up a few new shiny toys and we need to counter that!
  24. I really have to think we can get a difference maker on the defensive side of the ball at this pick. My heart says we really need a WR and we should go for Davis or Williams, but as someone on here also pointed out, neither of them will really make a huge difference in the outcome of the game due to the fact that we don't throw the ball so much. Maybe Howard would be more useful, but at 10 I just think that is too early. So, in the end, someone like Hooker or Adams would more likely make a bigger difference in the end result of the game and at least changing the makeup of our defense into the future. I really like the Hyde singing, now let's match him up with another great DB. We have to think about defending Patricia and the gang over there...
