WR Allen Robinson available, Rams willing to eat salary
LABILLBACKER replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
Probably not. With the Sherfield & Harris signing we probably only have enough for the draft. Unless Tre & Dion restructure? -
Yes they would
-
This will be Gabes's last year. We have to draft a wr either 1st or 2nd and start grooming. I know McB will be sniffing around for Campbell but not day 1. We gotta find a trade down partner.
-
Now let's focus on RT/ WR2. This Harris signing will work nicely.
-
The 2021 version of Harris says hi....
-
I like the signing but there's 8 pages of responses that end in "if he can stay healthy".....
-
The days of ever seeing an expensive big name RB in Buffalo is over. It will be 4 year rookie contracts galore. One after another.
-
There was alot of dumb things we did in Houston.
-
Now what do you do if Bijan falls to us? I know it's not likely but do they take the bait or stick with the plan OL/ WR?

Suitable Edmunds Replacements in the draft
LABILLBACKER replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
I haven't seen one mock draft that has Campbell in the 1st round. If there was ever a year to trade down for an extra 2nd, this is it. -
Exactly, so now we pray for a cheap Dhop/ OBJ 2 yr signing.

The Cincy game & its affect on how we view the team
LABILLBACKER replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
You're right. We would've lost by the same score as the playoff game. You can't compete defensively with Poyer/ White at 80% and Miller/ Hyde out. Frazier threw in the towel as soon as he had his dbs 10+ yards off the ball. -
I hope you're wrong.

The Cincy game & its affect on how we view the team
LABILLBACKER replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
They won 13 games because despite inconsistent coaching, Josh is a fricken cyborg who plays thru injuries. And as far as Davis having his so called best statistical year? He had his worst catch rate of 51% and was 4th in the NFL amongst all wrs with 9 drops. We're not keeping Davis anymore than Oliver. -
Sorry but a 6-8 RG is not going to work for passing lanes. Spencer's feet are just way too slow. He'll be backup depth for the remainder of his contract. I could live with Campbell, Jones and Tillman in the first 3 picks.

Isaac Seumalo, G, **Update - Signed by Steelers
LABILLBACKER replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well all I know is whoever suggested Saffold & Quessenberry should be questioned for their ability to identify talent. I've said for a few years now our scouts are very mediocre. Guys like Epenesa, Basham, Bernard, Ford etc were disappointments. We just don't have the luxury or cap space to screw up improving our Offense. Maybe we need to re-evaluate how we incentivize these scouts? -
The Cincy game & its affect on how we view the team
LABILLBACKER replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agreed.... it was accurately said by many that the offense had no identity, tempo or creativity. Once Quessenberry got Josh injured, the whole short game disappeared. Now you rely on deeper routes with lower completion percentages. I'm not saying Dorsey had a great rookie season....he didn't, but there are other obvious factors to take into consideration. -
Bills will add at least 4 more Free Agents
LABILLBACKER replied to khlax3's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes it is officially time to emphasize the offense over the defense. And it will probably take 2 full off seasons to do it properly. We've upgraded Saffold who was an embarrassment. Now we need to send Spencer to depth only and land a faster footed RT. We'll need to draft a G/C to take over for Mitch after this season. If OBJ is willing to play for less than 12M then maybe? I want an early round wr too. -
The Cincy game & its affect on how we view the team
LABILLBACKER replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes McDermott got outcoached by both McDaniels & Taylor. The only difference is Josh & Co. somehow willed us to a close win against Miami. By the Cincy game the tank was bone dry. Sean's game day strategy will always concern me. It's just part of how our team is built. -

The Bills just aren't built for snow like the teams of old. It's not an advantage anymore. I wish a dome was coming but it's not. Somehow this finesse based roster will have to find a way and adapt. Winters in Buffalo aren't magically going to be sunny and 60°. They gotta find a way. -
I think with draft signings we probably only have enough for Wagner. This idea of OBJ, DHop etc is dwindling.

The Cincy game & its affect on how we view the team
LABILLBACKER replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
Should we have been the preseason favorite....No. We were absolutely over-hyped. And with that goes more pressure on a team. We simply ran out of gas trying to beat the Dolphins. There was nothing left in the tank. -
The Cincy game & its affect on how we view the team
LABILLBACKER replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
Now that we've had several weeks to process last season, I think it comes down to a series of unfortunate events. •Micah out for the season •Josh's elbow injury ▪︎ Von out for the season • Damar almost dying ....then factor in blizzards, shootings, Kim almost dying. Name me one organization that could absorb all that and have the emotional capacity to advance. There isn't one. We won't take a step back as long as this team collectively takes a "deep breath". The chaos of 2022 will probably never be duplicated again.- 238 replies

That's fine. If no one picks him up I'd bring him back for the league minimum. Or find a faster, hungrier udfa who can play gunner.
-
Good, cut him. No brainer. Another overpaid ST dude with no value on defense.
