  1. We have a 53 million dollar TE who is forced to block way more than he should. We have an inconsistent 4th year WR2 who doesn't always compliment Diggs. If there is a dynamic wr that falls to 27 like JSN or Flowers/Addison, I'm going wr. But if they're gone along with some tackles, then sure grab Washington.
  2. As much as we all want a better running attack, Jim's argument needs to be centered more around the OL. Everything would open up with a quality OL. More time and protection allows Diggs & Co more time to get open. It would allow Knox to actually catch balls. And yes eventually a spread offense would open up running seams for Cook & Harris. Jim hoping for an expensive Thurman type is the wrong strategy and not the priority.
  3. Unless RAS means " Really Ass Slow" feet then yes he is elite. Just because your dumb enough to waste 6M on a scrub doesn't mean he's not a jag.
  4. Dude first of all I'm agreeing with you. I don't trust Brown's ability. He's been a 62 and 51 pff rated RT for 2 years regardless how you feel about pff. We do need to bring in competition desperately at RT. And if you're waiting for some video, documentation proof, you'll be waiting a long time. I don't know if it's Fleming or someone else but I would welcome someone other than Q pushing Brown. Sooner than you might like the same will go for Dawkins. Unfortunately I think the FA spending is over. I hope I'm wrong but I think it's on to the draft.
  5. Yeah but again we're dealing with stubborn guys who don't want to admit that Spencer isn't the answer. If they don't at the very least draft 1 OT to compete with Brown then they just are playing a foolish game.
  6. Dorsey was a rookie deer in the headlights OC. We probably weren't going to run like a well oiled machine his first year. The OL was what it's been for 5 years....mediocre putting it kindly. Again our running game was inconsistent and our 53M $ TE was forced to block. We were fortunate Q didn't end Josh's season. If Diggs wants to tweet to anyone, direct it to McB.
  7. They should scheme defensively in a different manner every week. Every team has different strengths & weaknesses. You don’t just stubbornly say we're running out the same tampa2 zone every week. Just a stupid strategy.
  8. I will be shocked if he doesn't re-sign for the same 1.1M as last year. He'll never be a pass rusher but he does supply edge support. This team still needs a young dynamic pass rusher and unfortunately Groot is not that guy.
  9. I agree. Both would be very good young replacements but I might lean Campbell. Hopefully Beane and his scouts are going through everything.
  10. Edwards must avoid concussions. McGovern must be a pass protecting improvement over Saffold. Harris & Harty will contribute. Not holding my breathe that any of our olineman can run block. He too was very skeptical about Brown. The success of 23 will depend on the current OL and the olineman we draft.
  11. The only April fools joke happened on January 22nd. Ranch all over everyone's face.
  12. I don't think in Sean's world they exist.
  13. Kelly's OL was elite. Josh's is incredibly mediocre. He runs for his life because his pocket breaks down in 1.8 seconds. And Dorsey hasn't established yet a consistent RB dump off game. That's why there exists this ridiculous national narrative that Josh is reckless. I will always blame McB for not building a dominant OL 3-5 years ago. Pure stupidity.
  14. Our running attack will improve as soon as our OL is upgraded. You don’t gather up RB's first and worry about OL later. Unfortunately that's exactly the strategy McB have irresponsibly practiced. McGovern & Edwards is a good start but there's more work (RT) to do. We could luck out and find a dynamic udfa rb. It's not out of the realm.
  15. Yeah the Steelers want him bad so unless it's 28-32 we're stuck taking him @ 27.
  16. Yeah I'm not as caught up about finding the next Thurman. I think if we can improve the OL on both techniques, we can keep enough pressure off Josh with Cook/Harris. Finding a true WR2 is more important than trying to draft Bijan. And the organization still needs to find a RT in the draft.
  17. Totally agree. That's why these knuckleheads failed Josh by not getting him a dynamic OL. The OL should've been #1 on the grocery list. Disappointments like Ford, Saffold, Brown & Quessenberry only validate how Beane is locked in to desperate dumpster dives or guys from an "OL powerhouse"🤭 like Northern Iowa? .....and yes Josh deserves better than Gabe (Wr3) Davis. They somehow thought grabbing Diggs was all they had to do? Stupid and irresponsible strategy.
  18. Remember his first pick might be early 2nd round where Campbell makes more sense and gets us a couple extra picks.
  19. Now if only McB could understand this concept. They've had 5+ years to improve the OL and they failed miserably. Andy improves his OL in one off season. If I identify my qb as a generational superstar, I'm sure as hell going to surround him immediately with weapons & OL. Not dick around picking failed D lineman.
  20. Yeah our regular season D and playoff D are 2 distinctly different animals. Should've been calling plays since day 1, just like Andy. Better late than never.
  21. With our luck he'd probably hire Leslie as an OC.
  22. No NFL team is rushing to sign Klein. He will be available if the draft doesn't produce Campbell or Sanders. Dodson albeit nowhere near Tremaine could hold down things for a few games.
  23. We'll be scouring the hills of Montana for the next great RT. I want my trenches from big-time conferences. The problem is not Beane but his garbage uninspiring scouts.
  24. Tell that to KD. Our OL was so pathetic we had to leave him in there to block most of the 1st half of the season. Dorsey needs to use the same receiver distribution game plan as he used against the Rams & Titans last year. Diggs had 4 tds and 24 targets. Yet JA distributed the ball to 7/8 different pass receivers in those games.
