I've always been under the belief there will be 2 distinct windows. I honestly think window #1 just ended with our 3rd KC elimination. Window #2 will begin this offseason as we start saying goodbye to key veterans like Hyde, Poyer, Tre and eventually Von & Diggs. Players like Cook, Kincaid, Milano/Bernard and Shakir will fortify this team as we start selecting young wrs, safeties etc. I'm excited our coordinators are young but still terrified as to what issues McD will stumble into during the playoffs. ...and I guarantee you Harbaugh will build a better team around Herbert.

Get excited... change is NOW with a youth wave!!!
LABILLBACKER replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hyde & Tre are likely gone this spring. Von, Diggs, Knox and Poyer will probably only be around one more year then we wave goodbye. We absolutely must emphasize offense (wrs) this April. We've neglected Josh long enough. The core is solid with Josh, Cook and Kincaid/Shakir. But reliable supplemental wrs better than Gabe and an aging Diggs are necessary. The youth movement will start this year. As will Josh's 2nd window.- 153 replies

Surprised Andy doesn't instantly hire him as a coach. What a dysfunctional family. Yet they always get rewarded. A little girl almost died thanks to one of Andy's alcoholic sons. Yet people say so what? Wow

Yup sign Ty as your backup and find a more reliable cheap power back better than Harris or Murray. Can't afford Henry anyway so no point wasting discussion on him.

The Bills' abject lack of a deep middle passing game
LABILLBACKER replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Unfortunately Josh's deep throws still lack trajectory. They're still too flat. That canon of an arm has no height allowing open wrs to run under. -
Any Chance of Playing Some 4- 3 Next Year?
LABILLBACKER replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'd like to see it occasionally but the biggest problem with our D is not the 3....it's the front 4. As usual the 2nd half and playoffs saw a drop off in qb pressure. -
Josh Allen Documentary - Right Place, Wrong Time
LABILLBACKER replied to JPL7's topic in The Stadium Wall
So exhausted watching his coaches and teammates let him down every year. -
AJ averages 3.5 sacks/ yr Greg averages 5.5 We're not keeping either of these busts.

I wouldn't even waste a vet minimum roster spot on Shaq anymore. Watching him play in the playoffs was a joke. He's done. Let injury prone Phillips walk along with AJE and Ford. I could live with Settle one more year on a minimum. Signing Jones should be top priority. Draft some new guys.

How do you explain Diggs invisibility act
LABILLBACKER replied to Coldfronts's topic in The Stadium Wall
Absolutely perfect word to describe Stef. The constant interchanging moods, attitude and even his passion is never constant. I don't know how Josh, his teammates and the coaches deal with it without going crazy. -
How do you explain Diggs invisibility act
LABILLBACKER replied to Coldfronts's topic in The Stadium Wall
Stef's last 12 games this season (incl. playoffs) resulted in a 57% catch rate. Regardless of the truth or real reason for this drop off, it's still a 27million dollar problem. -
How do you explain Diggs invisibility act
LABILLBACKER replied to Coldfronts's topic in The Stadium Wall
All the way up to this season I tried so hard to defend him. But I can't do it anymore. Between his silence and tweeting innuendos, along with zero information about his so called injuries, I don't know what to make of him anymore. Maybe we get 1 more decent year out of him but his intense chemistry he had with Josh is probably over. His contract is brutal, as is Von & Tre. Just start drafting a bunch of wrs please. -
The Most Embarrassing Day in Bills’ History
LABILLBACKER replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
Levy and McDermott are both good coaches. But they are not destined to be great. There's too many little flaws and details they fail on. Fans now are terrified to fire McD and try someone else. God forbid we go back to the drought years. With Josh everything is possible. Why not go all in surrounding your best player with more weapons. This is a strategy Sean waited way too long to activate. -
Lets support the new Staff and hope for the best.
LABILLBACKER replied to SoonerBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Toward the end of the season I heard guys like Eisen & Cowherd say nobody wants to play the Bills. Well to be quite honest I personally know 2 teams that love to play the Bills. I was disappointed we haven't yet moved on from McDermott. And yes I understand his supporters and the reasoning behind keeping him around for continuity. We as fans vow to keep fighting for our team in our own way. But I've lately appreciated being involved more in my family than waiting for this team to break my heart for the 50th time. The motto "one before I die" will always reign true. But so will "family comes first". -
Scott take solace in the fact that we will always be here for you and your family in prayer and support.

With each passing year and Lamar collapse, we're seeing maybe the Baltimore moment from Sean was not as impressive as we're led to believe. Lamar literally should've had 3 ints to go with that fumble. One more playoff loss to KC or Cincy and clap is gone. And Ben Johnson will be licking his chops over a 28 year old Josh Allen.

Bills Unforgettable loses and the kicker connection
LABILLBACKER replied to Returntoglory's topic in The Stadium Wall
As horrible as those 2 defensive plays were, not squibbing around the 5 will forever be the masterclass mistake by McDermott. -
Yup, that brilliant Von contract is looking like a disaster. At least there's no ridiculous Euro game and the opener likely looks like a home 1pm. I want to see Josh get off to a great start.
