  1. Admittedly haven’t been following the trial much, but I se it as a case involving a ( probably) bad cop and a drugged out guy that passed a fake $20 bill. Never saw any indication that racism played any role other than the superficial fact that it involved a white cop and a black civilian. My take is that the force used was probably excessive but very unsure that it amounts to a murder charge.
  2. It’s hardly moot. The moron in chief has brought it up many times, and there are still many folks who call for it . Not a straw man at all. The left wants more restrictions, most arbitrary and probably illegal, and endless lockdowns even though they’re not effective.
  3. The quote is from the declaration, never said it wasn’t. There are many who have opined that a federal mask mandate for all states would be unconstitutional and I agree ( though I’m sure it would be challenged and debated). Nice try though.
  4. So criminals obey laws ? Damn, murder should be unheard of as it’s against the law. How about enforce existing laws, be extremely tough on crime by locking criminals up for long periods of time , and quit worrying about law abiding citizens doing what they are constitutionally allowed to do. Things such as bearing arms.
  5. Everyone is able to vote. Plenty of options, and plenty of time to accomplish it.
  6. No American in their right mind is envious of Canadian healthcare. In Ontario, there isn’t enough capacity for the population and not nearly enough personnel. Probably because they can make more money elsewhere. It also costs a fortune so they come to the USA to shop. They’re locking down again for a month. Who the heck would sign up for that? Maybe some scared liberals, that’s about it.
  7. Trump abdicated nothing. He’s the reason we have a vaccine now, no doubt. We’d be waiting for years if the Dems has been in power.Mask mandate is unconstitutional, that’s why we don’t have one. You see, we live in a free country where our rights are acknowledged as being endowed from our creator. In liberal terms , we are “ born this way” We don’t get these rights from any government, rather the government must respect them. Virtually all of the pandemic related restrictions are unconstitutional, and the people of this country should probably have rioted to have them lifted. The level of stupidity in our population is unprecedented and here we are 14 months later.
  8. Well, there was no “ insurrection “ by definition, so there’s that. The event was far less destructive than the liberal mass riots of last summer. Interestingly ,the only person killed was an unarmed protester that was shot by Capitol Police. Haven’t seen many folks wearing her name on a T-shirt, and I don’t believe her funeral was televised. Several remain jailed for the abhorrent crime of “trespassing” ( that’s probably more than from the aforementioned riots) ;they didn’t kill anyone or burn any businesses to the ground. However, I don’t recall any Dems starting a bail fund for them or defending their right to protest. Shocking.
  9. That quote was already proven to be a lie , but again once the media repeats their propaganda often enough it becomes accepted as truth. They retract months later when the damage is done and the retraction is easily forgotten.
  10. Insane? That’s the world of the Dems. The truth is now “ insane” or conspiratorial , facts are racist, women are men and men are women, illegals flooding in immediately after the borders are opened by Biden is Trump’s fault , removing the vehicles of cheating from elections is Jim Crow, destroying entire states economies due to a virus that is fatal to a half percent or less of the population is “ following the science”, infrastructure is defined as anything you want it to be etc etc. Insanity is believing the Dems and the media propaganda when the obvious is smacking you in the face.
  11. They took away drop boxes because they were the vehicle for the fraudulent paper ballots cranked out by Democratic Party leading up to the election. They were an unnecessary concession to Dems with the excuse being the pandemic made voting in person “ unsafe” lol. When you consider that about 40k votes ( likely unverified paper ballots) in Georgia and Wisconsin put the lunatic fringe left in power, it’s understandable that election security is a huge issue. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was at least attempted electronic manipulation by the Democrat party, but I’m certain that tens of thousands of illegitimate paper ballots were counted for Biden. The scheme was obvious as Democrat Governors were very early to implement mass mailing of unrequested ballots , and then backed legal maneuvers to remove all verification and checks on paper ballots. Then the media blitz afterward calling the fraud the “ big lie”. Though they were stunned that 70+ million voters didn’t fall for it and voted for Trump ( mostly in person) , they quickly chalked it up to unprecedented “ turnout”. In reality, it was unprecedented manipulation of many States voting systems and unheard of amounts of phony ballots being counted as they couldn’t be verified. Unsurprisingly, the Dems now want unconstitutional federal takeover of elections and to permanently allow ballot stuffing through mass unverified paper ballots. They hate America, hate the Constitution and hate people that work hard. They now pander exclusively to illegals, criminals, and woke Caucasians that hate themselves and wish they lived in socialist countries.
  12. It would seem the pressure was on Beane to produce when he had the great draft position, but also the poor roster and cap issues that led to it. Now the roles are reversed, but for every Josh Allen, several competing teams will draft a Josh Rosen. Beane has earned the benefit of the doubt at this point in his Bills tenure.
  13. Hopefully they are not, but as I’ve stated I’m willing ( for the upcoming season) to show such proof IF it means extraneous restrictive measures such as masks etc are done away with. Otherwise, no point and I will attend a couple of road games. MIA appears most desirable if it’s outside of Sept/ Oct and possibly N.O or TEN
  14. For at least the 2021 NFL season, you’re probably better off with this strategy.
  15. You may be onto something here. The WNY region had plenty of spikes in Covid ( as we were so frequently reminded ), however we had zero fan attendance at football games through the entire regular season. Doesn’t appear to be a link
  16. It’s difficult to address these football relevant topics in a non political manner, but I’ll try. I generally despise the idea of a vaccine “ passport” or whatever they want to call it to attend a football game etc. However, as a consumer I’d be perfectly fine with it IF it met certain other criteria . Namely , NO masks, NO reduced capacity and NO “ distancing” beyond previous norms. When the State gets involved, they seem to want ALL of these things which is excessive , overly burdensome and pointless. What good is getting vaccinated if a returning to normal is not the desired outcome? So for the 2021 season ONLY, the NFL should open stadiums either to limited ( more than 10% though; again ridiculously low) capacity with masks and distancing OR to full capacity with requirement of proof of vaccination, negative test or proof of antibodies.
  17. I don’t mean directly as in a referendum, but rather via their poor choices at the polls in November. This is a Bills forum and thread after all, but it’s worth wondering in that context.
  18. Great point. I do understand the principle of not wanting tax dollars used for the Bills / sports. However, we live in the real world and are not going to reinvent stadium deals as we know them. Of course, we as fans do not get to vote on this stadium thing. I do wonder how many folks objecting on such grounds have contributed to so many far more awful decisions in this state through their actual votes. Much worse decisions than the Bills getting some funding when it’s their turn.
  19. Not sure the Bills will repeat as AFCE champs ? Me either, but who is ? A wise man once said , “ that’s why they play the games”. It’s also the reason we all watch them.
  20. I believe you must try to defeat the Chiefs by presenting a similar offensive challenge. Mahomes gets the benefit of wide open receivers most of the time due to the way teams play coverage vs their personnel. Josh did not get that last night and the results were apparent. While the Bills need better rushers to apply pressure with 4, most of the answers are on Offense. An elite TE and a blazing WR are needed. The Chiefs are harder to defend than anyone else due to Kielce and Hill. This is easier said than done, but trying to win largely with defense in today’s NFL is mostly folly. The Bills needed a better defensive strategy yesterday ( the Falcons and Raiders did a much better job) combined with TDs not FGs.
  21. No, not an issue because all the teams play in the same conditions. Don’t think it was an issue at all last night, or any other game this year where fans were present. The team is not as talented as the Chiefs, and they were also soundly outcoached in every aspect. Noise wasn’t a factor.
  22. Nope. Their game plan in October was much better, but Josh played poorly among other things. It was a 6 point game in the 4th quarter. I’d have taken that tonight coupled with a better effort on Offense. McD won the first meeting with Reid back in 2017. I do think he was extremely conservative tonight and it cost them. I don’t think he’s scared of the Chiefs, but needs to admit when a game is going to be a shootout and play accordingly.
  23. It was exposed, but not unexpected. You dance with who brung ya at this point though, and I’m not sure the Bills did that tonight. Josh Allen not having at least one rushing TD in this game was inexcusable. Daboll was hugely underwhelming tonight, and McD couldn’t resist extremely conservative decisions when it was obvious TDs were going to be needed. The Bills will want to address the RB spot in the off-season, but I believe tonight’s game was winnable with the players they had.
  24. A somewhat disturbing ending to a mostly excellent season. I’d certainly have been fine with a close, competitive loss, but this was something else. This felt very much like the ‘90s Super Bowl losses ( aside from XXV) and last year’s Houston loss rolled into one. The final quarter was into embarrassing territory. The coaching staff did not acquit themselves well, and the settling for FGs Vs an offense like the Chiefs was almost Jauron- like conservative. I loved Allen’s season, but tonight won’t do much to remove the negative narratives on him. About as bad an end to a great season that one could imagine.
