  1. He’s fine, but he’s not the kind of back that’s going to put his shoulder down and power through the melee for 4 yards. If they don’t fix the OL, McCoy will be pretty useless.
  2. No way, the Chiefs are just fine. I hope they are there because it means NE won’t be.
  3. If he was thought of as the second coming he would have been gone with the 1st overall pick and there would be no issue. What’s done is done, but I’d feel a lot better about the Bills talent evaluators and the team’s future if they had addressed the franchise’s most pressing need by drafting Mahomes.
  4. No, that’s not it. The issue is that NFL execs, HCs et al are paid big $$ to have foresight. A vision for building a team. Bills fans mostly don’t have anything against Allen, but Mahomes looks as close to a sure thing as there is. Allen may or may not pan out at all.
  5. Maybe the Pats* from years past. This year’s edition was 3-5 on the road. Regardless , games of years gone by will have zero to do with what happens next week against whichever opponent they face. Major difference was those were gimmicky QBs that didn’t make plays from the pocket. That’s not Mahomes at all.
  6. And NOW we’ll find out about the status of Mahomes knee. Hope it’s okay and they breeze to another TD
  7. F**k no ! Now the Chiefs need another TD before halftime hmmmmm
  8. The scare with Mahomes knee seems to have influenced Reid’s p,aycalling and put the brakes on the Chiefs offense a bit. Why the heck did that WR retreat there. Could have had more yardage
  9. Well they give the yardage back but it’s the down that matters
  10. This down will answer a lot about Mahomes knee
  11. Yeah Rivers is very good, but hasn’t proven himself to be great or HOF. Hasn’t come up big in the biggest moments . I hope that changes tomorrow , the Chargers have the team to do it.
  12. Hyperextension maybe ? He ran around a bit after so probably be ok
  13. They lack star power on the defensive side for sure. You better have lots of that if you hope to stop Mahomes. Otherwise younplay shootout football and hope you have the ball last. That’s the primary reason the Chiefs lost to NE.
  14. Bills. The Bears passed and took Trubisky. The Bills gave the required pick to the Chiefs when they were desperate for a QB themselves so they are forever linked.
  15. Exactly. The past doesn’t mean squat , and this years edition of NE isn’t as good. They haven’t won a road title game since the mid 2000’s.
  16. Mahomes is ridiculous outside the pocket
  17. Haven’t fared too well in road AFCC games recently fwiw
  18. Would love to see that rematch for an AFC title game.
  19. As there is on most plays in the NFL. It’s when the Officials refuse to call offensive holding on one team ( the Pats*) that make it an absolute manipulation of who wins and loses these games.
  20. Chiefs can chew up that zone like nobody’s business.
  21. Watkins has to catch that ball. Needs to concentrate better on those over the middle throws, he’s never been very good at that. What a run by Hill
  22. He was paid on talent / ability , and that drives the market. Production may be related to a stystem or other circumstances so production alone doesn’t drive the market. The market cannot be wrong, as it is just what a team is willing to pay for acquiring talent. When that doesn’t equal value to the team, the player will be released / traded or whatever. The eyeballs. Watkins looked pretty okay there. The guy has talent. Folks who say otherwise just have an axe to grind/ had their feelings hurt by Sammy’s social media comments. That’s pretty much it.
  23. I would have preferred the Bills keep Watkins and use other resources to land Allen. They chose not to, and that’s all that matters. There is no rationalization, however circumstances have dictated certain results. You can’t catch what isn’t thrown at you, and can’t play if you’re injured. Watkins is worth whatever an NFL team is willing to pay him, as is any other player. When he no longer is meeting that standard he will be released. The market is never wrong ; the results don’t always equal value though. That is the best , most correct way of stating it imo. His career has been disappointing compared to the talent. It’s when these detractors try to minimize the talent and potential that credibility is lost.
  24. Fwiw , he had 8 TDs ( most of the Rams WRs) and a higher YPC by a significant margin on a fraction of the targets those players had in 2017. Goff was fond of the underneath throws and took them often. He never really had the chemistry with SW and amazingly even managed to overthrow him several times., which is hard to do. Why ? Nothing wrong with stating the truth and I applauded him at the time for saying it.
