  1. I like Clete Blakeman....wonder what choad is going to be assigned to the Pats* game ? It’s not out of the question...win or go home
  2. That fumbling has to put Harbaughs go -fetcher up in his throat .
  3. Jackson’s fatal flaw though could be that ball security. Scary...
  4. Both are capable, Chargers probably present more matchup problems. Contrary to popular belief, the Pats* don’t always get to the SB. The best chance for them to lose is on the road, where they’ve lost 3 title tilts. They also lost at home vs Ravens in an AFCC and divisional game. Lamar is a different kind of rookie QB that presents problems. This is the weakest version of the Pats* in 10years and I think that matters. Brady’s not going to play until he’s 50.
  5. Definitely don’t want this matchup as it would be @ NE. The Pats history under B.B. favors them too greatly at home, and so will the officiating crew. No thanks, either someone knocks them out in the divisional round or they go on the road for AFC title game which hasn’t been as kind over the years.
  6. The needle is still pointing ( slightly) toward approval for me. We will see if this teardown/ rebuild thing works but I’ll argue that it wasn’t necessary like some have implied. It was the McD/ Beane chosen path, but the teardown didn’t have to happen. A retooling on the fly was certainly attainable and commonly done around the league. As for the decision to bench Tyrod, it was a long shot at best, but I was fine with it. Tyrod was coming off three putrid performances and wasn’t beating the Chargers that day anyway. The bigger issue was McDs belief in Peterman, but his questioning of Taylor was spot-on. Year three is going to be the critical year, but it’s been more good than bad overall.
  7. This will not happen.
  8. I think the Ravens can beat this version of the Pats* B.B. , rookie Jackson and all. It would be something reminiscent of the Ravens win up there in the playoffs when Flacco was still pretty green and only completed about a dozen passes. Their D is that good, and Harbaugh doesn’t get psyched out at Gillette. Chargers would be an even tougher matchup , but I actually believe all 4 teams today are legit threats to win the Super Bowl. That’s kind of unique for a WC playoff day.
  9. I don’t think anyone is thinking today’s WC games are any great barometer of leaguewide trends. Those are influenced by the rules and it’s all about the offense. You still need defense to some degree, and it’s getting tougher to play it well. The best defenses haven’t played yet this playoff season either. You need balance and proficiency on both sides unless your Offense is just ridiculous. Last years Super Bowl didn’t have a lick of defense until the strip sack of Brady. A great defensive team with a crappy offense probably won’t win a title now.
  10. Because it was a better, more physical brand of football to watch. I don’t think its particular to Bills fans either. Most fans who were watching the game prior to the rules changes would probably agree.
  11. Yeah, Cowart was just coming into his own when that injury happened. Definitely a different time with the injury, he was going to be an enforcer for many years. I don’t think he was all that similar to Edmunds though.
  12. Yep. I’m stunned they tried a drop kick for an onside ? Can’t that punter kick off a tee ? That thing had no chance
  13. Oh. Well then my mistake, I agree about Dak. It’s not usually pretty but he gets results. Good leader too.
  14. Yes. He also went into a ready made situation with a very good OL and RB in his rookie year. Allen went 5-5 with mostly garbage to work with. You’ll never be an Allen fan even if he ends up winning , so I get it.
  15. That shouldn’t be the case in his 3 rd year as starter though. Big difference
  16. Great run by Dak there but man that reach......
  17. Maybe Belichick when at the podium.
  18. Yeah, neither of theses teams will be hoisting the Lombardi this year .
  19. Come on, really? Wilson lasted until the what, third round ? That’s just a guy defying the skeptics, not dumb on the part of scouts / GMs if they all weren’t sold on a guy. It happens. First round or very early second ( a la Brees ) ? Yeah, then it’s a miss.
  20. Steve Young always said kicking FGs at home will get you beat. Cowboys O is scattershot with Dak right now.
  21. Classic makeup call on the punt return.
  22. Yeah, that really soured me on him. Never saw it before from Gronkowski, but that was a massive cheap shot and unforgivable.
  23. I’d do the same...can’t stand that choad.
  24. Exactly, can you believe that guy ? It’s not like it’s a Pats* player or something, have a heart !
